Absolutely appalling mismanagement from the club and it’s embarrassing. With regards to Top, the only reason I’m still behind him as owner is because you don’t know who would come next. At least Top will secure the club financially in terms of existence, even if it means we’re league 1 / championship fodder for years. But my word Top has been asleep at the wheel and needs to get the board out yesterday!! Wake up Top!

I’d like to think we wouldn’t be so stupid… Besides, Rudders is probably in charge of his own contract as well. Would explain a lot.

Working in Leeds as a Leicester fan
rn9013 replied to huddersfieldfox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Moved up to Yorkshire for Uni 15 years ago now and never left. Currently live and work in Leeds - I find Leeds fans are generally level headed about their club to be honest. You get the odd plonker in the Leeds fanbase but then, don't we all have that problem! They are just proud and can be very loud. I hate to admit it but Elland Road can create one of the best atmospheres in the country. In many ways I'm jealous, I wish our home fans were as loud! -
Typical 🤣 Please could everyone go back to remaining silent during periods of play for the rest of the season. Thanks 🤣

Certainly not a must win in any shape or form. Our lead has allowed us the breathing space to have a blip if need be. However, it does make Friday a huge game for both sides, even more so for us after today’s result because if we lose again we’re really back in the mix. But, if we win for me it seals it. Big game.

It’ll be interesting to see how the narrative reverts back to normal next year. This year has been a bit of a freak season with 3 huge clubs, 2 of which were established premier league clubs, being relegated that probably shouldn’t have. Compare that to this season where it is likely at least 2 out of the 3 clubs to be relegated will be some of the worst sides to have been relegated from the premier league.

FA Cup 5th Round Draw - Bournemouth Away.

Good draw for us. Opportunity to see how we compare to the sort of opposition we’ll need to be beating if we get promoted. Take that.- 286 replies

We’re a better squad than Wigan of 2013. I get it, chances are slim, but dreams are there to be lived. May as well give it a go.

Completely agree. The league win was unbelievable, but something I’d never even thought about because it was just so unbelievable. But like you I had dreamed about winning the FA Cup so somehow it felt so much more emotional when it finally happened. Even though the league win is a bigger achievement. That’s football I guess.

I've no time for drink drivers at all. Personally I feel the law should be zero tolerance as it is in Scotland, but I appreciate that's just my personal view. As someone that enjoys a beer myself I know that even after a single pint my reactions and judgment are not the same. I wouldn't want to be in charge of a machine that has the potential to kill knowing my reaction times and judgment are not as good as they can be. That's just my personal view. However, add into that the incredibly privileged position these footballers are in where they could hire a chauffer driven Uber Luxe with less thought than us mere mortals would have to buying a coffee, and it becomes unforgivable. I felt exactly the same about Danny Drinkwater when he was caught. Appreciate he's yet to be found guilty but the fact he refused a roadside test tells me everything.

Liked this ref the last time we had him and he had another good performance yesterday. He’ll be a premier league regular before long.

Ipswich (A) 1 - 1 - Boxing Day - Post-Match Thread
rn9013 replied to lnkstern's topic in Leicester City Forum
A point was a fair result in the end. Feels worse because we were leading and the flukey nature of the goal we conceded. Also the ref bottled a red card and a pen. BUT…the important bit is 11 points clear of third with 22 games to go. -
Just had a look at what Arsenal do and tbf if you transfer the ticket to someone else or list it for sale on their ticket exchange that counts as you utilising the season ticket. Looks like a few clubs operate like that in the premier league these days.

It was the same at Huddersfield around me. It was weird considering it was advertised as ‘sold out’.
-
Agreed. Put it this way. I’d happily play them away from home every week.

Tbh I think the Red Leicester sausage rolls served at the KP are decent on the rare occasions they’ve not been incinerated to a lump of coal.

Ticket ID checks are they still happening?
rn9013 replied to Alfie.meadsy's topic in Ticket News and Travel
Definitely were a handful of arrests of Leicester fans yesterday. As always it’s the tiny minority that ruin it for the majority but there was a group not far behind me waiting to get in that were an embarrassment. Not even sure they were city fans to be honest, just seemed to be there to be as antagonistic as possible. Thankfully I’ve always found that sort of behaviour relatively rare in our away ends but if the club are aware of more of the type of stuff I saw yesterday I can see why they tried something to root it out. -
Rotherham (A) Sat 26th Aug 3pm

Anyone noticed they’re charging £27 per ticket + booking fee for an adult but it’s advertised as £25 plus booking fee? -
How much would you pay to keep Leicester up?

Let’s get a crowdfunder going. -
How much would you pay to keep Leicester up?
rn9013 replied to Buzzard's topic in Leicester City Forum
I’d offer any amount of cash to keep us in the premier league… only to miss the payment deadline by 14 seconds. -
We’re still in serious trouble. But if you’d have offered us this position going into the final 4 games a few weeks ago I imagine most would have snapped your hand off. If we beat Fulham (a big if admittedly) we won’t need points from Newcastle or Liverpool. They’d be bonus points. 35 points with our GD should be enough so 3 points at Fulham would mean a win on the final home game would be enough. As I say, if we can’t do that we don’t deserve to be in the league.
-
Doubting myself but I don’t feel as negative as many on here clearly do. We’re up to 16th with a much superior goal difference. Leaves us in the best position out of the bottom 5. The task is simple: match the points of 3 of the 4 sides below us. Easier said than done yes but if we can’t do that we don’t deserve to stay in the league. Let’s stay positive and go to Fulham who hopefully will have a foot on the beach.

Huge 45 minutes incoming. Come on Leicester!!!

Need to remain positive. We’re ahead going into the second half. Hopefully Maddison uses that pen miss to go and get a goal in the second half.
