LCFC Men Season Tickets: Price Freeze & Safe Standing Confirmed
Qwerty replied to jammie82uk's topic in Leicester City Forum
Does this work in a different phone? -
Like many on here I pass my physical card to friends if I can't go to a game. I have no idea how digital season tickets work. Is it somehow linked to your own phone, meaning that the only way someone can use your season ticket is if they borrow your phone? Or is it done via logging in to your account, meaning you could tell a friend your password and they could log in to your account and use your ticket? Or is it a QR code that can be screenshotted and texted to a friend? My account still has me and my 2 sons on it (how age 19 and 15) - the only contact details on my account (email, phone etc) are mine, so how would that work if the lads went to a match without me? It's annoying that we can't ask the club these questions because we're all breaking club rules by passing STs around!

This sums it up. He basically won the lottery the day he got the Leicester job. Easy promotion with arguably the best team in the league, followed by a job that is notorious for huge wages and pay-offs. Chelsea is also known for it's chewing up and spitting out of managers, so if he fails there it won't look especially bad on his CV, if he wants to work again. Or he could just sit back and enjoy the millions he gets when he's sacked. So it's no wonder he's happy to be nice about Leicester.

It’s a shame. My younger son collects tickets from away games and he’s disappointed.
-
I wouldn’t worry. It’s only becoming mandatory in the premier league in a couple of years, and being realistic I doubt that’ll affect us!
-
Annoyingly we bought 3 tickets in the corner at 8am today, and now they’re opening blocks directly behind the goal. What’s that all about?
-
Yeah that's the only reason I can think of. I don't think for a moment we'll keep him in the championship, but I expect they're either hoping he'll walk, or we can sack him in July when the new financial year starts.
-
It seems unlikely that even prime Mourinho could keep us up now, but I still think RVN should be sacked. The negativity around him means that no one will want him in the championship - not the fans, players, board or Ruud himself - so what's the point in keeping him? It would be better to get someone who actually seems to give a shit, so we could at least hang on to a shred of hope for next season. I can see us potentially losing every single one of our remaining 11 games, and I can't imagine how horrible the atmosphere will be in the last home game.

Rodgers was let down by the board but we still had enough to stay up. We could have ridden the storm and been OK again by now, if Rodgers hadn't fallen out with Cags and insisted on playing Amartey, and also Ward. Rodgers was justifiably pissed off, but rather than knuckling down and getting on with it, he deliberately sabotaged the season. Relegation meant our financial problems got worse rather than better. Rodgers could have prevented that, but he chose not to.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Can anyone think of genuine reasons for not sacking him? All I can come up with is the cost, but considering there’s no way he’ll be our manager in the championship, we’re going to have to sack him at some point, so we may as well do it now. Or are we thinking we’ll get the sacking cost in the next accounting year, after 30th June? I can’t think of any other reason. Anyone got any ideas why the delay? -
And Ipswich too I think. It's annoying that they've got a run of fixtures they can probably still win without him.

Help getting tickets to watch a game at the King Power Stadium
Qwerty replied to OmarMhaidi's topic in Ticket News and Travel
On the club website you can see when the tickets become available, and quite a few are going to general sale lately, so you should be able to get a ticket. Good luck! -
I've been wondering this too. We have season tickets but are in the "all STHs" category, so rarely manage to get away tickets. However, I think this one might be OK. I reckon we'll be pretty much mathematically relegated by then, and it's a long way to go, so I doubt it'll be popular.

Dyche managed it for years with Burnley didn't he. That's why many of us wanted that sort of manager. -

I'm really not sure we'd have been much better than we are to be honest. Enzo was stubborn, slow to make subs, and had zero Plan B. We nearly bottled the championship as a result, and it was seemingly the talk by Vardy and Albrighton that rallied the troops at the end. We were the best team in the league and it still looked shaky at times. So I'm not convinced he'd have been successful with our mediocre team in the Premier League. You only have the read the Chelsea forum to see they've got the same frustrations we had, and have lost games they should be winning. He's had hundreds of millions to spend and they're still only 7th. -
It’s quite amusing reading the Chelsea forum - fans moaning about Maresca after Villa beat them. One of them said “we look OK at first, then we look shit for a while, then we concede, but he still doesn’t make a sub till the 80th minute”. Sounds familiar doesn’t it…..
-
It was more than hearsay. We saw the “We Miss You Enzo” sign. That basically told us that Cooper had lost the dressing room, so he had to go. It’s just a shame we got RVN, who was never going to be up to the job.

Leicester Vs Ipswich- 18th May - Jamie Vardy final game?

Are we not likely to keep him for another year in the championship? -
I was discussing this with my son. He says that if/when we’re mathematically relegated, he doesn’t think he’ll bother going to matches till next season. I’m not sure. What does everyone else plan to do?
-
I think the only way we could potentially avoid relegation is if Cunha got injured and was out for the rest of the season. Without that happening, Wolves are going to ensure safety in the next few weeks. I'm certain that, like last season, the 3 promoted teams are going back down again. Sadly the longer that keeps happening, the harder it gets for the promoted teams, because they're at such a massive financial disadvantage.

When you travel, leave passport in hotel or take with you?

Leave passport in the hotel safe. But keep your GHIC card with you. -
Is relegation a price worth paying for avoiding a PSR breach?
Qwerty replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Has it been officially stated that the reason we haven't spent money is fear of PSR breaches, or is that just our (logical) assumption? Personally I can see the logic to it. If we'd spent big in January it would have been a huge gamble. Southampton are down, but us, Ipswich and Wolves are fighting over 2 PL places, and even if we'd bought a load of players there'd be no guarantee it would be enough. It would have been disastrous to spend a load of money and still get relegated, then have to face more PSR sanctions. I would rather get relegated and try and build up from a position of secure finances, rather than sailing close to the wind every year. Being so close to PSR breaches causes anxiety in the dressing room, and puts off potential players and backroom staff. After all, if we hadn't been facing a points deduction last summer we'd probably have been able to get a better manager. We passed PSR for 23/24. We need to pass for 24/25. We still don't know what's happening about 22/23, and whether or not the EFL can still come for us when/if we're relegated. But until we get back on an even keel financially, and stop this annual panic about PSR breaches, we can't ever truly progress. Forest gambled last year and yes it's paid off massively for them, but that's only because there were 3 really rubbish teams in the PL (Burnley, Luton and Sheffield). In a "normal" year both Forest and Everton would have ended up relegated.
