  1. I think it’s the recent injury that has lowered his value. He was amazing in the Championship, and really good for the first half of the PL, but not as good after his injury. He’s had surgery and it’s too soon to know if he’ll get back to his best, or if it’ll be a recurrent problem. I reckon that uncertainty will be the reason the big teams haven’t come for him, and we’ve had to accept a relatively low price.
  2. I understand why we would want to sell Wilf - he’s injury prone, and not the player he used to be - but I often wonder what makes players want moves like this? He’ll presumably get paid a lot less there than in the UK championship.
  3. No idea on street parking but we're parking here:- Asda Aspley, 5 Carr Pit Road, Aspley, Huddersfield, HD5 9AD, with JustPark. It's a 20 minute walk away apparently.
  4. We're in the same position with a son at university. You can transfer a ticket 10 times in a season. The people who you may transfer it to need to have an account. It's free, they just have to join LCFC, and get an account number. You can then link them to your account, and transfer tickets to them. The other option is to have a burner phone, and put your son's season ticket on that. Then pass the burner phone around.
  5. Surely not. That would leave us with just 2 goalies.
  6. I don't have the app, but on my account I can see the season tickets, and there's an option to download them. But I'm too nervous in case I do it wrong, so I'm waiting for the promised email from the club. Mind you, Jim said that would be sent out last week, and still no sign.
  7. I agree, that sounds a lot of hassle. I wonder if he regrets complaining now! I expect the club started out with a set of rules, which they've ended up having to bend slightly as more and more people were unhappy about it.
  8. I was told by Jim at LCFC help that if fans weren’t in a concession category (over 65, kids, disabled), and they didn’t have a smart phone, then they basically couldn’t have a season ticket.
  9. I’m assuming these will be paper tickets and not electronic? Does anyone know for sure?
  10. Does anyone know how geographically close the 2 matches are today? Will Marti be going to both of them, or are they hours driving apart?
  11. I have to say I'm surprised. We're in the all STH category, and didn't think we'd have a chance with this game, so a friend of mine who has a box gave me his allocation. Gutted I didn't hold on now, because we could have got the points.
  12. All 3 of mine are showing as ready to download on my account, but I'm nervous about doing it! I'm still waiting for the email, in case it contains any pearls of wisdom.....
  13. Yes, I want to see if a screenshot works, because then I’ll know I can send a screenshot to someone else, if they’re coming in my place. But realistically I’m not sure it’s a good idea to faff around at the turnstile because there’s always a massive queue.
  14. I was thinking of screenshotting the pass for the first game, to see if a screenshot works. Obviously if it doesn’t then I can access my wallet, but it would be useful to know if screenshots work, for passing on to other people in future.
  15. Friend of mine has downloaded his season ticket, it went straight into his wallet, and there’s no visible QR code.
  16. I'm never sure what people mean by "happy clappers", but my guess is that the people who only recently got their season tickets are unlikely to relinquish them. We got ours about 6 years ago after trying for 2 years, so I wouldn't give them up in a hurry, however pissed off I was with the regime. But I suppose there could be people who only got them because we were doing well, and have now lost interest.
  17. I know there were probably more people talking about not renewing than actually doing it, I'm pretty sure the club announced the renewal percentage which was a fair bit lower than in previous years.
  18. I'm hoping that more tickets will be available in the "all STH" category than before, given that a lot of longstanding STHs didn't renew this season.
  19. Am I reading this wrong, or is it going on for 3 hours?!!
  20. We're going on Saturday. Are there enough parking spaces for all supporters? If not, anyone know where else to park? thanks
  21. Am I missing something or are we seemingly only having 3 pre season friendlies that supporters can go to - Peterborough, Leuven and Fiorentina? The season starts in a month so presumably if there were going to be more they'd have been announced by now?
  22. It seems likely the pay-out will be made on 1st July. A delay (between sacking and paying) of 4 days is credible, whereas sacking him in April and saying “he’s gone but we’re not paying him off for 3 months” would have been questioned.
  23. He’s an idiot if he goes. If he stayed with us for another season and played well, he’d be back in the PL after that, because someone would buy him. He’s only 20. And he’s not THAT good. A season in the championship is just what he needs.
  24. True - although I imagine airports have costs that are partially covered by the rent from shops. A bit like cinemas, who apparently don't make any money from showing films, and rely on sales of expensive popcorn to make any profit.
  25. So it's a bit like when local councils have their budget cut, so to recoup their losses they charge more rent to the high street shops. But the high street shops aren't making as much money due to cost-of-living, and they want to negotiate with the councils to pay less rent. Both shops and councils are getting less money in, so they want to spend less money, and it's a bit of a stale-mate. But it's in the council's best interest to come to an agreement, because otherwise the shops will close and then they'll get no rent at all.
