Is it possible just to walk along all the stands? Or is there a point at which it’s blocked? If I were you I’d try going in with him on his Dad’s season ticket, and bring your own anyway, so if you get stopped you can just go to your own seat. When we went to the Ipswich away game, they messed up our ages. I had to pretend to be a pensioner (I’m 56), one teenager was an adult, other teenager was a young child. No one stopped us. Mind you, the journey had aged me 10 years so I looked the part!

I’m no authority on this whatsoever, but my assumption is that games mainly get moved for TV. So if they were at 3pm on a Saturday originally (which can’t be televised), but turned out to be potentially more interesting (relegation scrap, title challenge etc) , then they get moved so the TV companies can have them. Maybe I’m totally wrong. But if I’m right, I doubt that match would be moved, as presumably being on a bank holiday it’s already been booked for TV. No idea what impact the FA cup would have though, although I doubt we’ll still be in it by then.

True, he wasn’t given a chance. But I’m pretty sure I recall him making some mistakes when he did play. There must have been a reason everyone’s heart sank when he walked on the pitch. But then again, if he was having to play with Amartey….. It’s his lack of pace that worries me.

Agree. Vestergard just isn't good enough for the PL. He wasn't last year and he won't be next year. Ndidi definitely. Vardy still has moments of brilliance so I'd love to keep him on a one year extension, but it would be madness for his salary to stay high.

I see that McAteer was taken off because of the yellow card. Anyone know if Mavididi and Ricardo are OK? Presume Mavididi was subbed off for the yellow, and Ricardo just to rest him as we were winning? Hopefully not injured.

Pep has been moaning and grumbling ever since he arrived but he’s still there nearly 8 years later. I don’t understand this worry about Enzo quitting. He’s never managed in the premier league before, so I wouldn’t imagine he’d be a big target for Prem clubs. So far his main achievement is to be top of the championship with a team that has a significant number of PL standard players. I’m not saying he shouldn’t take credit for our position - of course he should - but I don’t think it necessarily makes him a massively desirable manager in the PL. If we get promoted and he leaves, then he’s clearly not strong enough for football management. (Unless he wants to return to Europe, which is obviously a different situation).

Is Mavadidi injured?

Benrahma to Lyon... off According to French website L'Equipe, Said Benrahma's loan move from West Ham to Lyon has collapsed. They say everything had been agreed but West Ham forgot to enter information in Fifa's transfer software Not just us who mess up!!

I suspect clubs have always sailed close to the wind, and got away with it. The message has now been sent loud and clear, that unless you’re a Big 6 club, you’re not getting away with it any more. So yes, I reckon we probably would have breached it slightly, as would many clubs.

I think the Everton points deduction has scared clubs. It’s been a quiet transfer window across the board I think.
-
I’m no fan of Rudkin and his cronies, but really, we don’t know what happened. As others have said, it could be that Inter moved the goalposts at the last minute, thinking that having got as far as a medical etc, we’d agree to new terms.
-
Yeah - I’d hope he can see that he got a load of money in the summer and bought the players he wanted, and that having watched Everton be well and truly battered by FFP rules, we can’t take any risks. Don’t get me wrong, I’m disappointed this transfer didn’t happen, but it’s not the end of the world. Some people are talking as if we’ve lost out on prime Ronaldo because we were 20p short.
-
Well for weeks he’s been saying “I’ve been told we have to sell before we can buy”, and it would be strange for him to say that if he’d been promised money.
-
I’m just trying to think sensibly rather than freaking out!
-
Apart from Ndidi being injured, as far as I can see the only change from the start of the season is that Casadei has gone. And I think he was pretty inconsistent - scored a couple of goals but was a liability at times. This transfer window has been very quiet for a lot teams, due to the whole FFP thing becoming very real. And if Enzo quits because he didn’t get a player he wanted, then he really shouldn’t be a football manager!
-
Agree. Bringing him over for a medical despite the deal not being confirmed was sensible. It would have been pointless to have everything signed and sealed today, only to find he wasn’t fit. My guess is that there were some problems that hadn’t been ironed out, and both sides thought they could get their way, but at the last minute they couldn’t.
-
That’s exactly what I just said to my distraught teenager! It’s not as if we just missed out on prime Messi.
-
And where would he go? Because he’s not going to get a better job than managing at team that may be in the PL next year. And if he flounced now, he’d look an absolute fool.
-
It’s a pity we couldn’t do this deal, but if Inter wanted too much money, there’s nothing we could do about it. It would have been a nightmare if we’d spent too much, and ended up breaching FFP rules and having points deducted. Especially if Sensi hadn’t been that good, or had got injured! Remember how miserable everyone was when Silva’s signing was missed by 14 minutes, and then when he finally played he was pretty average. Having seen the trouble Everton and Forest are in with FFP, I’d rather not take any risks. And Enzo might be privately disappointed, but he’s been saying all along that we had to sell in order to buy. We haven’t sold anyone, so he can’t very well complain that he’s shocked we haven’t bought anyone.
-
Do you actually seriously believe that a manager in his biggest ever job, on a no doubt massive salary, with a team at the top of the championship, looking at promotion to the premier league - would quit because the purchase of an average player with a history of injuries fell through at the last minute? Or are you being ironic?!
-
I agree, he sounded really defensive and patronising, explaining to us all that if a player is very good, then other teams will want to buy him, and that we're desperate because we're close to breaking FFP rules. It feels like his reputation is on the line now, which is another reason I really don't want us to sell KDH. I'd hate for him to be smug!
-
I think if we sold KDH now there's a strong chance we wouldn't get promoted.
-
How would it help us when there's no time to spend the money? Sure we'd have an extra £40m in the bank in the summer, but it won't have been worth it if we're still in the championship (which we easily could be if we lose KDH).
-
Can the people who think £30 million (or even £50 million) would be good business explain to me how that works? With 5 days left of the transfer window, surely it’s irrelevant how much we get for him, because there’s no time to replace him.
