He seems more of a ball playing CB to me, which I would have thought suits Puel. I don't think Morgan can keep up this level of intensity though, even if he's just rotated for one game, it gives him a week to recover.

He'll listen to his sports science team, and if they say the players aren't able to perform optimally, he won't play them - and rightly so. However, we should have a deep enough squad to rotate a position in every part of the pitch, and right now we don't. We've not even seen Dragović play in the league yet, when Morgan and Maguire will likely be playing a game every 2 or 3 days. Fatigue will catch up to them if we don't rotate properly.
