I was gonna take my boy to watch just to see KDH and see what Enzo has up his sleeve for this season oh and the tickets are reasonably affordable unlike the copa America tickets. After this Enzo shitestorm I can’t be asked. The argies are a really weird bunch.

Being an ex-pat and lived here in the US for over 25+ years and see the game grow through MLS and other leagues while hosting various tournaments throughout the years (many teams visiting from Europe) I’m pretty confident it will be a well organized and entertaining event. Of course the Copa America event was meant to be a warm up albeit not by the WC organizers but by CONMEBOL. Yes it wasn’t perfect - ott ticket prices and the debacle at the final. I thought after the wembley final and champions league final in Paris we wouldn’t see that nonsense again but it happened. Certainly will be very high on the list of all future organizers so expect to see tighter security and a larger police presence. i have friends and cousins that are really looking forward to travelling over from Leicester, Leeds, London and other places to go see games with families based throughout the US and Canada. Of course it will be expensive with travelling involved that’s why we all are saving up from now! there is good public transport around depends in which city you go but it will be ready for the fans. There is tail gating that will happen in car parks which is fun and different if you don’t want to pay out for concessions in the stands. Is it over priced in stadiums? YES and it’s one of my gripes but I eat and drink before or after the game if I want to save money. There’s plenty of time and choices. It’s not going to be like the Euros it’s different period.(I like the euros) if you do decide to make the trip over you will have a uniquely different good time experiencing 3 different countries and cultures. People are very friendly. The food, music is so varied wherever you go. im just happy that the WC event is coming to me in my lifetime so will definately go see some games with my son. Maybe England will win it this time lol.

Watched every game at home with my son and his lucky hat. I’ve not messed around with various England shirts either just the same one from 2006. I’ve been conflicted about jinxing or missing out on enjoying the experience with all the lads at a pub. it will be mayhem if England win it. in our little seaside town in California most are oblivious to the event. Until we all spill out onto the pavement absolutely hammered lol. Cmon England it’s been 50 odd years ffs. Bring it home!

I really don’t know why but I just have a funny feeling England are going to win the final. It’s not based on anything other than a hunch but everything that’s has happened so far is leading to something big.

I’m based in NorCal and I’ve really enjoyed watching the euros during the day and copa in the evenings. Have to profess they are like two entirely different tournaments in every way. The referee officiating for copa is diabolical and just fuels the on field chaos. Most teams are playing at break neck speeds in a counter attack on steroids style of play. this has led to a demolition derby of players clattering into each other and rolling all over the place. There is zero control. As for the stadiums it’s very messy. I tried to get tickets for the Brazil vs Columbia game and cheapest tickets were $200+ each. That’s a whopping $700 outting for me and my son Inc travel. It’s daylight robbery. I heard the stadium tried to offload tickets for $140 an hour before the game in a last ditch effort to sell out. It makes me angry. Anyway, Columbia look bloody good so hope they make it to the final. I’d like to se Uruguay get knocked out by Brazil as I can’t stand them. Now that the US are out hope Canada can go further but they gotta start scoring goals asap! Argentina progressing all depends on Messi’s fitness

As far as I can remember I’ve only ever brought a pint once up to my seat with a hot pukka pie (pre kickoff). Can’t be asked to waste time during the game tbh. I’m happy to enjoy a quick pint before the game at s pub and/or have one afterwards. drinking at the game doesn’t appeal to me. Im too involved in watching. Here where I live now in Cali if I go see a game at San Jose earthquakes the bar (longest open sports bar in N.America) you can just stand & watch from there it’s pitch side. Just can’t imagine people throwing beer around! Like other expats have said it’s too damn expensive to waste and your asking for an ass kicking if you drench the wrong geezer.
