I fear we're going to struggle to come to terms with their plastic pitch and will go down 3-0 with Clive Allen scoring a hat-trick.

Actually an incredible save by their keeper.

Faes back to his bombscare worst from last season. Hopefully he's got that 45 minutes out of his system.

He was (probably) moving on regardless of whether we stayed up or went down, what with him entering the final year of his contract. Going down just meant we got a lower fee. He's a superb talent and is currently playing brilliantly. However, we've seen this story before. It still remains to be seen whether he can show up in March/April/May. -

He certainly didn't "thrive" under the "pressure and responsibility" of our relegation battle. He choked if anything. -

Calvin Bassey in particular seems to drop a bollock or two in every match I see him play in. -
What's a 'duva'?

Fulham's squad contained 4 former/future Foxes - Barry Hayles (who scored 18 league goals for them that campaign), Simon Morgan (who made just one sub appearance, the last of his long Fulham career), Elvis Hammond (one sub appearance, his Fulham league debut) and Rufus Brevett (39 appearances).

Nobody was asking England to throw it about under their own posts like they were playing an exhibition test against the Barbarians. But they could at least open it up a bit when they've got their opponent pinned inside their own 22. They couldn't and/or wouldn't, and are deservedly going home.

I've always liked Vestergaard and never understood the vitriol aimed towards him . But I also realise that he only works well in this league because we are dominating possession and the amount of defending he has to do is kept to a minimum. I have absolutely no doubt that he will get consistently rinsed in the PL (as he has before).

But they had the flair of Jason Robinson who had the ability to unlock any defense at any moment. I don't see anyone like that in this England squad.

He was way below par and dreadful in our relegated side, a flukey clean sheet at Newcastle notwithstanding. He was miles behind Faes, Soyuncu, Souttar and even Amartey in any statistical metric you care to mention. -
England really struggled to score tries against anyone with a semblance of defensive organisation. Their luck was going to run out sooner or later. You're not going to beat the big nations 3 points at a time. You've got to score tries.

Hope he at least got to see Jude Bellingham's performance against Italy the other night. It took 50 odd years but we've finally produced another attacking midfielder in his mould worthy of taking on his legacy. -
Have you put your heating on yet?

I live in a relatively small 2 bedroom house which has electric storage heaters. Today I turned on the one that's in the downstairs hallway as that tends to do a reasonable job of warming up most of the house. I'm resisting turning the others on until it gets unbearable.
