Don't see how both ended up being booked for this. Almost 2 yellow worthy for the Leeds player. On another note, am in shock at how Winks didn't get booked in that game.

Probably didn't help our striker in both halves was dropping so deep. They seemed very static in the final third again.

KDH progresses the ball into the final third well, but it's that last progressive pass we're missing from our 8's and Wingers. Our wingers spent most of the time passing between themselves rather than many incisive passes into the box. This could be due to us having no one in there.

Thought for big sections, a good amount of noise was produced. As many have said, stadium projects the noise forwards rather than to the stand so we'll always seem quieter. I should've corrected that as last 2 home games, so my bad there. Whilst they're great in possession, most of Vestergaards cross field passes were (again) brilliant. I've noted in two of our toughest games (Sunderland/Leeds) that the opposition will drag either of them out of position and open up huge spaces during the attack.

Livened things up a bit when he came on, released Ricardo into the 8 role and continued to provide nice structure for defence. We needed his pace to help us win transitional play

I felt him and Faes were pulled around the pitch a lot, amount of times I'd see one or the other sprinting back to position half lost the first ball or so on. I felt similar against Sunderland, teams try and move the pair of the away from our structure. But you're correct with the passing and biggest issues being first up the field rather than anything huge at the back.

Poor today, have watched him and Faes be bullied and dragged around the pitch these last two games.

Both seem to either always have time on the ball, or even when pressed have the ability to nip it between the lines. The way Winks covers the pitch is outstanding, very rarely see him stand still.

Said pretty much identical to this in the tactics thread. We've lacked creativity from the central 8's and even our wingers tbf. And we seem to have no focal striker. We got lucky Vs Sunderland and QPR, but we were always bound to be caught out when playing like this. Intrigued how he resolves this.

It's a mixture for us. Those we want rested generally do get a break - Ricardo, Winks, JJ to name 3. Mavididi and Fatawu both getting a breather too will be good.
