Yep October - March is horrendous. You forget how bad those months are now it’s light until 10pm. Think our weather has a lot to do with our negative psyche. Feels like once brits reach early 30s they become fat, depressed, stuck to a job and a complainer. Compared to warmer nations where most events are a reason for a party

The market outside is good though. Get anything you want for about 5 euros.

Another two crazy fan bases. Hate to sound like a happy clapper but this ref cam is v annoying me.

Yeh, trying to see the South American teams in the sunshine states at the World Cup next year is a big aim.

Unfortunately the working week is 5 days so even if you compressed all your hours into 4 days or took a 20% pay cut, there will still going to be things to do/sign/review/send/log on/be available for on the 5th day.

Yeh course, markets are a zero sum game. There’s winners and losers from every global event. But the S&P 500 is not up today because of more war, that’s fake news
-
The complete opposite in reality, markets are back to risk on mode as chatter is Iran is willing to go back to negotiating with the US and de-escalation in the war.

Yeh Boca in the Miami sunshine today, that will be a very fun away day, imagine pre-match drinking at Nikki beach club. Could even compare to when we went to Randers in February.

Load of La chouffe in france for the day. Bland scenery and food but excellent Belgian beer

Glasgow is surprisingly fantastic, a city where I could see it's possible to live. Big business, high skilled jobs, cultural scene, easy to navigate city centre, lots of diverse young people. For pubs, I went to: All 5 wetherspoons in city centre The pot still The horse shoe Shilling Brewing Kelvingrove art gallery Food scene not that great, ate at the ivy and china town. There will be better options

We defo all have anecdotes of the lack of competence of recruiters and estate agents, but it's the lack value they add which is grating. Recruiters almost always mismatch candidates because they don't understand the technicalities of the job, when they place someone they charge £10k's. Estate agents create loads of buzz around properties with higher margins with viewings from non-serious people, and neglect other properties on their books. Literally competing with themselves. Both sets of people genuinely believe they 'earn' their money through their skills. There is no skill or acumen, proven by the fact any old sod could be an estate agent or recruiter. Obvs now totally redundant with tech advances. 'Here are my skills, match me with an open job.' And 'Here is what I desire in a property, match me with open properties.' is the future.

Estate agents full stop. And recruiters. Non-value add people.

Football clubs warned fixation on growth risks player burnout Even the advisors are warning against growth of the game, every investor understands you can't oversweat your assets even if those assets 'earn millions though mate I'll pay football 24/7 if I earned that money ticket office shambles.' The current model is about short term mark-to-market gains, not growth of the game.

You said, I quote - I've not come across one normal person... Putting that on social media is obvs gonna lead to character assassinations.

Like the G wagon. But car finance has done that and made driving any car accessible, allows the insecure and the under 6ft to drive super cars for less than 4 figures a month. And there's great money in finance, the margins are superb, so everyone is a winner.

They haven't entered, they qualified for it. There's so much money involved that these businesses have to take part in it and take it seriously.

Yep pretty much 4 years of non stop football, Euro 24, club world cup 25, World cup 26. More players getting injured and most playing at 60/70% of their full capability. There are still loads of tickets for this, had a glance yesterday out of interest and you can go to Chelsea's match v LA for $30 LOL. Even the final has 1000s on general sale.

Lol yeh, I never paid much attention to results in pre season until social media became popular. I remember the first 'Cooper OUT' thread started in pre-season last year LOL. Still hoping they announce Ibiza or a Belgrade/Sofia/Riga club away for the last weekend of July.

Yeh man, coming from me who hates needles and has had every vaccination under the sun due to travel, blood donation is a walk in the park, barely feel a thing. I'm on about 15 now. Loads of free snacks after, but most importantly I am secure in the knowledge that should I or my family ever need blood, I have done my part to earn it. The Leicester centre is brilliant - Leicester Blood Donor Centre - NHS Blood Donation

Jersey Bulls in step 4, will be cool to see some new teams. Before that there will be a pre-season friendly against a decent sized English/Scottish league club with a tax dodging owner which will be fun.

Very nice, sounds incredible. If the Istanbul thing doesn't work out I would recommend going to Baku first then getting a 1hr or so flight to Tbilisi. Although the black sea ferry or a 27 hr coach sound like an experience and a half. Hope it all works out for you.
