  1. Again, as stated, speak to any West Ham or Leicester fan now and absolutely none of them will be saying ‘it’s all ok because we won a trophy.’ I have only heard city fans being shot down for suggesting they are ok with our current situation because we won some trophies. Of course we’ll all never forget the day out but I bet the average net happiness of Fulham, Brighton, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace fans is higher than West Ham’s over the last 10 years.
  2. Talk to us and West Ham fans now tho, and Newcastle fans in 3 years time if nothing else is won. Will all be forgotten.
  3. Just under an hour delay to ko at the home match v Frankfurt as away fans refused to move banners blocking emergency exits. Schoolyard scenes scenes as various authorities tried to get the ULTRAS to move their banners before they eventually did
  4. I’m there every 2-3 weeks. Average 30 mins from the train station to the lounge. Unless you’re getting hammered there’s no need to get there 2.5 hours before takeoff.
  5. That's incredible. Going to Glasgow in a few weekends, anyone have any connects for Celtic home tickets?
  6. This is a legit mental post. Its like those crazed threads in general chat forum where posters coalesce about how evil the tories/trump/insert popular culture item here is without any backing. The bloke won the premier league, he at the very least had a clue about how to run a premier league football club. Ofc the KP ownership will eventually be remembered for its glorious failure but wow this is almost demented.
  7. Loads of info online, get into anything fun and this thread will be deleted
  8. Qatar, Etihad, Turkish, Singapore. Raised the bar to another level. Had 17 hours on a BA plane to Buenos Aires in November, once you've flown with a proper customer-focused airline you cannot set foot on the tired, cheap and naff concept BA push out. Dreadful airline. Anything under 5/6 hours doesn't bother me. Pretty much a bus at that time length.
  9. Another unpopular opinion incoming..... I quite like them..... Cheap as chips and plenty of loopholes. And if they do charge you anything extra at the gate, keep all the receipts and claim it back on credit card
  10. Milan for one, flight out for Inter's final home game of the season was £14.54 outbound and £19.69 inbound when I had a look last week. Don't wanna trigger anyone but return flights, basic 3* hotel and match tickets were costing about as much as a London away day.... DM for extreme 1-nighter.
  11. LOL dude calm down…. The fact you’ve stated a ‘las rambles bar’ and ‘what the city has to offer’ in the same sentence says it all about what tourists like you do in major cities
  12. I guess that’s the point, these places aren’t far away/one-off places to visit anymore. Few hours or so flight and a £20 Ryanair means you can go as many times as you like to explore. You’re not gonna experience the true Catalan vibe with 5 days in Barcelona speaking English and following a trip advisor tour itinerary anyway
  13. I guess this is triggered from the cool Leicester story. What triggers you. The concept or the wording. The concept is great, we live on a tiny and interconnected continent, it’s a perk of living here to go on a day trip. The wording is stupid, it’s not extreme, Barcelona is a very short flight away. In my first job I went to work in Barcelona multiple times. I woke up at 430am in London worked a full day in Barca and was back in bed for 1030pm. That’s not extreme.
  14. I went on that train during the euros. Over 6 hour journey! 🍻🍻
  15. Bochum win at the Allianz after being 2 down. Late first half red for Bayern helped
  16. What do you mean by ESG investments? Full article 9 compliant? Wouldn't be surprised if you're losing money on article 9 given volume of redemptions, but article 8 funds are broadly up 3 YoY.
  17. Don’t know what you’re invested in but I guess Elons poodle would’ve gained you a lot more when he first came in during the trump bump. Typical human fallacy, losses hit us harder than gains
  18. Going somewhere on holiday as a British tourist with £ in your pocket is very different to living there though
  19. Have been to Newlands and also Dharamsala last year for the 5th test. Both well above the Aus trip for me, amazing one-off experiences. When there is another NZ tour I will seriously look at that.
  20. LOL, somewhere cheap in the middle of the school holidays?!?!! And also not hot?! Obvious joking aside, this site is good for deals - Best Online Holidays
  21. There were no riots but when I went to MCG they had restricted fans to bringing in one ‘slab’ per person, ie 24 cans. There was a lot of public outrage about this
  22. That's the best part of cricket. You get proper holidays in summer time like India, Australia, NZ, Sri Lanka, SA etc etc. Way better sell than 'fancy an industrial town in Denmark on a Thursday night in February?'
  23. Yes I have heard this too. A Caribbean holiday seems to be fine if you are: A) Over 65 B) Any age but very boring and lack a sense of adventure
  24. How come? I have heard the Caribbean is basically a day out in Reading. Loads of overweight middle-class English people getting hammered and acting colonially. I have done Boxing Day MCG and that was great, there is a distinct anti-English atmosphere which is incredible. Was actually in Sydney when the test was being played but didn't bother trying for tickets. Wouldn't bother with any other stadiums in Aus.
  25. Just shows how US-heavy any world fund is. If you have a world tracker you're prob 60+% exposed to the US and in turn AI/tech. On the plus side cable is working in our favour today.
