I wrote on here a few weeks ago about putting a pic of vardy on our communal organised fun Xmas tree, and it being a huge bone of contention with the fun police. The winning floor was chosen, with the below message sent to all… Goes without saying I’m enemy no.1 with the approved fun committee. Can overhear people gossiping about me. Never known this feeling, it’s strangely so satisfying!

I highly doubt they’ll be allowed to rest players. There’s so much money involved that fifa and the club boards won’t have it

Yep pure corruption re getting Miami and Messi in, shows how much of a farce this tournament is. Not too bothered about Miami, I didn't find it that great when I went, partying and food is good but prices are insane. With the F1 being there long-term and matches at the 2026 world cup, plenty of opportunities to see the ground.

Yes yes I know it's a complete farce and modern football is dead. I hope clubs take weakened teams and treat the tournament with the little respect it deserves. Although the money involved will mean that will not happen. Anyway, tickets go on sale tomorrow and flight prices are cheap, quite a good opportunity to do a few grounds in short distance. NYC - Philly - Washington is an easy route with the match schedule. Tickets - FIFA Club World Cup 2025™

Do what the hell you want. Personally I cannot drink anything above 12 years with a mixer, and my years drinking anything below 12 years/sour mash type with mixer in grotty clubs is long gone. I like two rocks, or the block ice you get in decent bars. Good thread this, I've got some tips for duty free visits. Been meaning to properly try Japanese whiskies for a while, any tips?? My tip would be Canadian club 12 year, smooth and refreshing entry level bottle.

Ah ok. So what’s your other son going to do, wait outside?

Why bother with the emails. Just take both (you said both would be with you anyway) and get them in the pic. No point asking for permission in the modern world, you know what computer says no salaried employees are gonna say

Thanks for the invite, will let you know

Hahahaha, you surely cannot be regularly buying from Amazon!!! You do know they're owned by a billionaire, exploit workers through a complex value chain and are an environmental disaster??

Good shout re old coffee house, decent boozer. Alongside jam pot as a London pub you have to tick off for historical reasons

Bloor is Measham, not Hinckley. Good story though, left school at 15 and now worth over a billion

Cofresh. Think the sale price was £50-75m when they went a few years back??

If you're walking that way, try Lyceum tavern and savoy tap

Royal Mail IPO'd 11 years ago. The Czech you are talking about already owned c.30% of IDSL (which is Royal Mail). You're over a decade late with the Robin Hood comment.

A better idea for me would be sticking to the theory. Stop meddling in other cultures to produce more westernisation and further markets, and actually invest in the countries and their customs to allow them to prosper. But ofc that means less profit, so I agree it is a weigh up

True in theory not sure about practice. If that is the theory, it’s been a horrendous trade of late. Investing in countries to spread division and fear and create profitable opportunities and geopolitical power is a uniquely British trade, how the empire was created from a country that can only offer potatoes and steel after all. Chinese executing this trade v well in the last 15 years with their ‘investment in peace’ across Africa

Yeh blaming it on the ‘players attitude’ is just an easy modern football excuse. They aren’t good enough, that’s it.

Leicester City and VfL Bochum - Blue and White Friendship
grobyfox1990 replied to AndWhat?'s topic in Leicester City Forum
Mostly watched the end of the Bochum match whilst waiting for ft at newcastle away. The keeper got whacked by a lighter from the crowd. Everyone left the pitch, game suspended. Players eventually came back out, but the keeper is injured so an outfield player goes in goal. The players just passed it around for 5 mins until ft. Surreal -
Yeh agree. Not everything has to fit into a pre-packaged and labelled condition. She's got emotional issues that she hasn't dealt with.

That being said there's obviously the money angle to it which is huge. You get loads of dumb 20 somethings in jersey spending £100+ every Friday night in the worst pubs drinking the worst beer known to man, then complaining they haven't got any money to do a Ryanair weekend away. So I guess if you do a month off the blob and you spend like these people you could save a fair whack

Same, think dry jan is a dumb idea. Having a bit of time off before going back to normal is only good for the ego. I only drink fri and sat and less than 14 units 3 weeks out of 4.
