To people still do that? I go on Facebook occasionally to get rid of junk on marketplace and click on ‘on this day.’ It will usually be drunk pics of us as teenagers/early 20s, loads of f and c word usage, wouldn’t dream of doing that now, would be scared my employer or clients would see

Bloody hell! I would contact your Local MP, citizens advice, the mercury, all the other national media outlets, these well-networked football social media pages etc with a full email of the timeline of events and the response from LCFC. Send the template email to all parties. Surely some smoking bombs in there to cause a stir in your story. If you get a positive response, figure out a cost of damages and lodge a small claims court summons. Power to the people brother. Don't get pushed around like all the other 'games gone mate its gone' simps, fight!!!

Wow a weirdly strong reaction and name calling, are you a West Brom fan?!? The Onana assault on the wolves striker at old Trafford last season, that scandalous last min pen winner to sheff u and the one Newcastle got when their player kicked the grass are the ones I can remember off the top of my head

Possibly. Like you I only have my own anecdotes but when I moved there in 2011 central was exactly the same. Dumb and naive weekenders in those stupid rickshaws. Much like Amsterdam in those area near the main train station European culture is totally different, they can handle partying until the early hours. Our rounds-based pint of lager drinking pub culture isn’t built for that

Would never happen. How many people cry about 'the magic of the cup!!!' If Tamworth tried to cash in by playing at Villa Park, there'd be a justified tornado of 'games gone mate its really gone' comments. Of course ground swapping used to happen in the past but I assume that was before the games gone crowd came onto the scene.

Traditional nightlife is declining around the world, not just a London thing - article on FT about it today. Subscribe to read The best thing about London is it constantly evolves, like NYC. People are more concerned about health and aren't as rich and frivolous with their cash as the boomers were. I have no need to get trollied in MoS or fabric until 6am when there are so many other options for entertainment.

Ok fair enough, we are after different things lol. I like brigadiers as the menu changes a lot, it is isn't overly Punjabi and quite innovative. But only ever been work-related so never taken notice of prices. I tend to like zone 1 restaurants due to those reasons and the kitchen will be good enough for you to go off-menu. The Harrow fare such as regency, blue ginger and namaste lounge are too much for me. Too many Londoners supporting Man Utd driving BMWs on finance showing off to each other. Hate the crowd. I have never been to one of these Desi pubs but feel they will be so OTT Punjabi I won't be able to handle it without throwing up. Maybe one day. Indigo was the ultimate for me, shame it shut down.

I'm not a live laugh love type but having gone to Chernobyl a few months before covid lockdown and then Moscow for the city match a few months before the war started, does make we think maybe some of these LinkedIn memes about seizing the day are true. Both trips organised within 3 weeks of departure iirc and wasn't bothered about going at the time, just an excuse for an easy European trip during a dull time of the year.

Tbh with the meat dishes, I can’t tell the difference between these pubs. It’s all greasy, oily and nice. Veg dishes were better at little club though. You sound like you know what you’re doing, have you tried Tamil prince, Tamil crown and ambassadors clubhouse in London?

Maddison and Chilwell furiously searching for this bag.... Yuck though, that can only be a Hermes design and I bet they sell it for £1000+ The game really is gone

Haha I would agree, but I'm a football fan. The country was awash in 9-5 compliance drones in replica England shirts singing that atomic kitten song and drinking cans of G&T during tournaments. All of them thinking Pickford is a world class keeper. World cup 2018 the second best time of their lives after the crown season 3. Southgate built that. Put respect on his name.
-
I am far from a fan of Southgate, he wasted the ultimate resources at our disposal at a time when the premier league had the best coaches in their prime handing us players who are proven winners. He's proven himself to be an average football coach, which is no slight, but he is clearly far from elite. At the same time he did entirely change the culture of the national team, he took the whole country on the ride, built huge engagement and somehow handled the media too. He's an excellent leader. It's a deserved award I think, glad for him.

Really good place imo but I’ve been banned for life from there 3 times unfortunately. The last time about 10 years when we were all hammered and causing a ruck at 3pm. Kicked us out saying we’re ‘12 hours too early for this nonsense’

Tried little club on Anstey lane, standard fare but genuinely exceptional service.

Yeh that's a fair point and also a great post. They should have split pricing then, cheap tickets for the regulars then OTT prices for the daytrippers. The 'deep' part of your post is an unfortunate reality, there will be a 'pop' in society at some point/now.
-
Absolutely agree. We live in and have accepted a world where everything has a price. Tamworth will have loads of daytrippers who aren't bothered about the club interested in a ticket, skin them. Spurs fans won't be bothered about paying the price as it's such a unique opportunity. A bit of a shame for the loyal Tamworth fans, but it is what it is. It's a small club using the opportunity to create as much revenue as possible from a one-off opportunity. Good for them.

When I worked in Washington they used to have gigantic cream filled doughnuts with layers of icing, and then sprinkled bacon bits on top, at breakfast meetings. I'd initially feel very sick at the idea after just eating a typical American breakfast of heavily sugared cereal and fruit that has been grown in a lab, but over the months got to quite like them.

Fair enough. I keep a pile of hotel slippers at the front door for this instance and wash after every use. Especially if guest has no socks and takes that as a sign they can keep their shoes on. No way, get the slippers on mush

This is what I would say publicly. this is what I actually think

Sir Charles Napier? That used to be busy on football days when I was a teenager, I’m sure there was a huge scrap there one day. Assumed it was long shut down

Etihad is inferred similarly to the emirates in that it is quiet. So it’s a more original chant than ‘is this a library.’ That was my take on it anyway!
