I tend to organise myself to watch city games wherever in the world I am, and make plans dedicated around our KO times. I have only missed Villa away and Fulham home of all our games this season. Tonight I am simply going out and hope wherever we are will have the game on, no problem if not. Unheard of for me. Maybe this is the first signs of me becoming one of those miserable internet people who have had all the life and soul sucked out of them, and are left as a human wreckage of unfulfilled promise and malaise, someone who once had some energy and hope. If you see me posting about how much of a shambles everything is, send HELP.

Yeh defo, nice to have an illogical passtime and it's an anchor reason to fly back to the UK for me. Hopefully a lot of people who have been moaning on here for years do give theirs up and give younguns a chance for an ST. However methinks they won't.

I understand these threads are a place for people to shout about how much they're 'done with the club non league mate' but the club brings in a lot of cash to the city, so we should all be bothered if that reduces via relegations. The impact on the city is more important than your online image and making people believe that you don't care about the club whilst very actively following every tiny thing the club does.

I used to work in DC and you'd very very often hear people say 'I'm going on holiday to Europe.' Wtf does that mean bro. In my anecdotal evidence they tended to equate 'Europe' with the plastic tourist destinations like a random village or two in Italy, onto Athens and finally an old person cruise to a few Greek Islands. Paris and London were always separately defined.

Had an enforced 20 day break between sat 11 - Fri 31, longest period since I was 15 I think. Couple of Guinness over the weekend watching that contrived rugby tournament listening to rugby people really making an effort to congratulate the winning team and reiterate to anyone in earshot how different rugby is to football. I have shifted to only having more than 3 or 4 pints when in London or Leicester.

I cannot believe in 25 years it's not worked for you, you are surely a complete anomaly. Physical tickets have not worked for me loads, lost the card tonnes of times and had to go to the ticket office to get a paper replacement, pay the fee for a new card etc...

That's my point, it's much easier to share an NFC ticket. Now I'm back on physical ticket it's much harder to swap. Have to co-ordinate physical picking up and returning a piece of plastic for entry into a stadium. Totally pointless waste of time in 2025.
