That’s normal isn’t it. Everything in life changes, people move on, nothing stays static

Thought it was funny when the man city fans sang ‘is this the etihad’

Shoes in the house is proper disgusting behaviour. Apart from the few occasions I’ve gone into real tip houses and don’t even want my socks touching any exposed area.

Hastings is cool. Huge deprivation which I presume is now normalised across uk coastlines. But it’s cheap and has all the above amenities you mention, and a lot of good restaurants. Pelican diner is the best cafe in the world imo. Had various cask ales across fitzrovia last night, still think it’s the most underrated area of central London

Went to everards meadows for the first time. Sampled five different cask and keg varieties, really good. Will be going back when in Leicester

Avoid santorini and Mykonos like the plague. Places like dubai and cancun are cultural havens compared to those cesspits

I have a season ticket at jersey bulls (step 5) and go here and there. It’s pretty boring and dull. It’s cool because I know one of the players, you see the opposition and ref out in town afterwards and you can have a pint of watered down lager out of a plastic cup during the match. But it’s only about 700 people, the football is shocking and it feels small time. Much prefer the bigger sense of occasion, crowds, athletic ability and pace of going to Leicester. Rightly or wrongly I don’t take Leicester too seriously, it’s a fun pastime for me, once it stops being fun, I’ll stop all engagement and forget they exist

I had the Himalayan prawn curry, which I guess is what you were referring to, and yeh it’s good. Methi chicken was good too. Whilst I’m in Leicester over Xmas will get Durham ox done. It’s the same bloke who runs both kitchens

Tried the Wyvern/Gurkha curry yday. Pretty decent

Wolves 0-3 H Post Match Thread

What were the wolves fans singing all game? Couldn’t mark out a word of it -
That’s crazy, never had that. In which case ignore my whole post!

Tom ford ombre leather. Tend to stock up on any oud fragrances when in the Middle East.

Sounds like you’re making a mountain out of a molehill. Tickets are on general sale, put in any random name and just buy a pair of tickets. Seymour butts on my account has got 5 home games under his belt
-
Defo an unpopular view so not gonna argue lol. But his personality and popularity has clearly transformed his sport in 2024. First year in ages I couldn’t get anywhere near a ticket for ally pally. For that reason I’d say he’s a good bet for sports personality of the year

Yeh that’s what I mean, it’s similarly priced to things like a single gin, a random craft beer, peroni or madri which are other drinks that have gone through the fashion cycle. It used to be nonces drinking ‘a small brew ipa darling’ out of colourful cans, now they’ve moved into Guinness, next it’ll be a random drink from some cesspit in France or Italy. I’d say every stout I’ve had is nicer than Guinness but Guinness isn’t really a stout to me. It’s average and easy drinking, had 4 yday at lunch because it’s so inoffensive
-
Yeh agreed. I get it’s fashionable to go against trends, hence it’s now v fashionable to insult Guinness. But as the poster above says, it’s an average and reliable draught. That’s it
-
It’s an average draught pint at an average price point. That sounds about right. Average isn’t an insult. If you’re switching from a spirit/mixer or another average draught to a Guinness, I can’t see how you’re having your pants down.
-
Yeh I agree, but ofc I would as a millennial who’s not benefitted from the commoditisation of everything. The western capitalist world has created a post war generation of people who live unbelievably luxurious lives off the back of average skills and work ethic. The down side is the raging inequality and ravaged world we’re now seeing
-
That’s human nature. We split into camps. Also when you have a homogenous product at a stable price point, I’d be interested to hear any other way to do business other than with people you like

An Evening With Leicester City Legends
grobyfox1990 replied to pkonline's topic in Leicester City Forum
Turned up for a charity cash grab football match in Jersey the day after Mahrez's wedding stinking of booze with just a backpack and no boots. Said he could play in trainers before a runner went and got him a new pair from sports direct. Got with a decent looking female that evening too. Legend in my book. -
Musk is great at making big bets. No one would have the balls to go in with so much leverage on DJT, if cackling kamala won, he'd have been stuffed, but orangeman won and he now owns a country, with the UK coming next. Also great at marketing, a very tough skills, cannot be understated. In my industry at a certain level the service and price is pretty much the same. So winning new business purely comes down to making people like you, hence we are tasked with going out drinking regularly.

It would take extinction first though, before settling back down to the normality you describe. E.g. you, I and everyone else on this message board is maddeningly richer than the wildest dreams of 99% of people that have ever lived. However we've somehow got ourselves caught up in a world where we spend £100/£1000s on pointless tat for a religious festival for a religion we don't even follow. People literally get in debt and die for this sh1t. Think what a huge drop like 75% in income would do first before that adaptation

Liam Lawson is far more of a commercial and media proposition than 5'3 Yuki, right decision all things considered.

Yeh that's what I mean, club Board/shareholders won't allow it. Players and managers are paid many millions and in return for that you get flogged to death and are expected to earn your money. With the amount of cash involved in this tin pot, I can imagine full strength teams will be sent.
