Yeah agree. I actually wonder if Aluko is more suited to CB rather than RB longer term, especially in a Russell setup. Good at carrying the ball out from defence, but not sure he is technically good enough in tight areas for RB, as JJ is. Very useful player to have on the bench if he can cover all defensive positions. Especially with a 7 man bench.

The pre match presser on Fridays now? Wonder if Aluko is likely to be fit or not..? Hopefully we can get a couple of goals before BDCR & Cullen inevitably come on at 60mins. McCarthy Joseph - Kanga - Thomas - McFarlane Chaplin - Page - Braybrooke Burns - Bristrić - Alves Stolarczyk / Aluko / Neale / Howell / Cullen / Watson / BDCR
-
No Souttar when Aluko can barely walk feels like a statement we can’t risk him getting injured… because he’s off?

Wtf is Coulibaly doing there

Good timing

If we have to watch Hamza at cm on Saturday we burn the place to the ground. it is so so obvious Page - Braybrooke should be our midfield for the foreseeable
-
Can see why Howell needed a loan. Technically superb. Physically a bit suspect. And decision making needs work, often runs down blind alleys or takes a shot when there’s a better option. Basically everything you would expect from an 18yo. Think he will be a good impact option for us this season.

Braybrooke and Page are absolute levels above Skipp and Hamza
-
Braybrooke in the 6, Page & Chaplin as the 8’s is probably our strongest midfield on paper. Mcfarlane starting LB. Stolarczyk and Aluko starting. Bristrić up top again. What’s not to like?

Hahah 4 full backs. FOUR. Thats insane 😂

Can’t believe no one has started the plane tracking yet… 👀

Summer 26 Transfer rumours 'X' and other Weak Links

Surely not 😭 Big Dan would be even less suited to Russell ball than Okoli and that’s saying something -
Worst transfer windows in our history
Foxes96 replied to fleckneymike's topic in Leicester City Forum
The correct answer is any window which includes Oliver Skipp at £25m and Jorden Ayew for £5m. Abhorrent. The worst thing is we as fans could all see these were terrible deals, yet the highly paid professionals at the club thought these were good signings. Bonkers- 63 replies

Absolutely baffling signing this. Given Martins style of play, and the fact Martin had him at Southampton for a season, had seen him in action and didn’t fancy him. For him to then go ahead and sign him for Leicester is bonkers. Just cannot get my head around the logic on this one at all.

I actually thought he looked better technically than I was expecting. Some nice touches and made some decent runs. Shame he was feeding on scraps all game

My logic was I’d consider them first team starters at the minute, so would rather play rotation options in the cup game. Whereas 12 months ago they would’ve been seen as rotation options. Also Alves and Braybrooke have had fairly significant injuries already in their careers, so want to protect them a little bit for the more important league games. -

Sorry if not clear. This was more or less a full change XI for the league cup game. Not saying it’s what I would do… although yes I would play those three tomorrow 100% and then rest them in the week. -

Forgot we had a game on Tuesday as well against Ipswich… wonder if Chaplin will be held back for that one given he’s not played much recently. Can see Russell sticking with more or less the same XI as last week, with some of the newer lads getting a run out on Tuesday. Hopefully will have a new CB to bring in by then as well. Stolarczyk Aluko - Okoli - Souttar - McFarlane Hamza - Page Howell - Chaplin - Watson Bristrić -
What are we looking at then? Somewhere in the region of £300k - £500k? That’ll keep the lights on another couple weeks

Rangers now linked with winger Cozier Duberry from Brighton. £7m bid rejected. Just give us 5 and you can have Stephy tomorrow

Might have been mentioned already in another thread but that left footed cross field ball from Braybrooke to Burns that set up the chance Bobby should have scored was outrageous. Running the opposite direction and on his weaker foot. Looks like the player with the most individual quality in the squad, really hope he stays fit and can show it this season for us. Been a long time coming -
People will moan but don’t hate it. Leaving Mavididi and Faes out completely is a big statement by Russell. Bobby will be replaced up top shortly I’d imagine either by Bristric or Chaplin, with Cullen pushed up a bit. Think that was probably Russell’s plan before Chaplin got injured. Same imagine McFarlane will replace Thomas if he’s good enough. Pleased Alves has kept his place. Like the idea of him off the left as well

No Mavididi or Faes
