I think for the future of the club it’s best we get good money for him and look to invest in someone else. I however don’t trust the club to invest wisely. if the release clause is comically low then there’s no real point

Goal should be to get him back to fitness, hopefully have an injury free season next year (which is difficult after these injuries typically) hope he has a good season and sell him hopefully for a profit. only have to look at ricardo, fofana and Justin to see it’s gonna be a problem

I didn’t even really think about this till now, but with vardy maybe retiring / we really should be looking for someone else, cannon should be sold this window, edouard obviously being on loan, we would only have daka next season potentially (again someone we need to sell) we don’t just need to sign one striker but probably two, or we better pray the championship don’t give us an embargo or we’re well and truly ****ed

We don’t 100% know that. never safe to assume either way but surely you’d think the club would be more proactive with signings this January if they thought we can’t sign anyone next season + would get a points deduction. we would have one senior striker potentially in Daka (assuming vardy retires/ goes elsewhere) amongst other potentially problems, so I hope we are wrong about what could be potentially waiting for us in the championship

moyes and dyche wouldn’t get the best out of this squad either. We don’t have a defensive back bone

I actually hope he stays for next season, regardless of what league we’re in. Think he could build something and would have some pulling power most managers don’t.

Mahrez for me, I can see the arguments for huth; but he wouldn’t be able to sort out the rest of the defence who aren’t proper defenders imo. just a thought but a prime vardy would’ve scored a lot more this season, and arguably would be much higher up the table. He still gets lots of chances but isn’t scoring them.

Not sure how accurate transfermarkt is but says Jake Evan’s is 17. So could be offered and sign a professional deal?
