I had a similar conversation with him yesterday face to face and came away with the same impression that it will change nothing but asked him to feed back in particular that the way the matter has been handled by the club has been a PR disaster.

I would say the best form of protest here is to pay the £25 (for those who can afford it which I realise not everyone can) as that clearly goes against what the club are trying to achieve.

Well Jim told me yesterday afternoon that the number of e-mails was about 50 so if it's now at 150 that's quite an increase in less than 24 hours!
