Mark Morrison every time.

Ricardo and woyo need to be the right backs next season.

Makes no difference. Does it really matter how close we are to appointing Russell Martin?

How much did Chelsea ruin us this season?
dooflip replied to An Away Move's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agreed. Chelsea didn’t help. But we handled it all very badly. even last season we paid good money for players we shouldn’t have - coady winks etc. enzo leaving meant we had to scrabble around for a manager when we didn’t expect to. That led to a poor choice that then influenced our transfer strategy. I still cannot believe the money we spent and what we got in return. Bek was the only sensible buy. Bdcr, ayew, edouard, skip. Ffs. Coulibaly I have actually really liked when I’ve seen him, and feel he could actually be our best option, especially if we are playing wing backs. We are going to have largely the same squad next year. Mads goes, for a lot less than he would have done next season. Bek probably, at us breaking even. Who the hell is buying anyone else? We are terrible. Those players on show tonight were championship players at best. -
I’ve always stuck up for KP, and im honestly starting to struggle. I think im warming to change of ownership, not just a new board, dof, head of recruitment etc. as mentioned by many others, we need a manager in the red bull/heavy metal pressing style. what was the German fella who managed in the lower leagues here called? Uwe rosler? I’d even take him now if he’s still about!
-
If we are paying to get Rosenior back from France, who we could have had for free in the summer, how the fck did we not pay 2m for corberan? The mind boggles. The board is not fit for purpose.

Loads of us remember the day we battered Man City at their place playing the exact opposite of the football we seem to be obsessed with, a style made popular by Man City. Madness. I was there that day, sat on my hands in the Man City end😂
-
I think even Jesse Marsch would be better than Martin for this very reason, and that says a lot. We need to move away from the style we have been obsessed with.
-
We’d be fine though because we would actually perform better and with more passion and effort than we have all season, which is the obvious counter argument.
-
Why are our board incapable of reading the room? Or is it that they do but just don’t care? The state the club is in, the fans need to be on board. Appointing Martin would have a similar effect that appointing cooper had ffs.

Too right. I actually experienced this first hand. Parents were still together but my dad was never around. Served at every conflict, disaster etc from falklands to the last Iraq war, which obviously included Afghanistan. The nights I spent awake wondering if I’d ever see him again… Early one Sunday morning when my siblings were toddlers, my mum took a call from Whitehall informing her that her husband had been taken ill in Sierra Leone with a suspected heart attack, and that the un hospital he was in had come under attack. Harry Winks can stay at seagrave one night a week, or move his family closer. If Vesty is allowed to bring his dog, the baby is probably welcome!
-
Yep one week full pay one week statutory was what I got. Some jobs you can add annual leave on, but not jobs where annual leave is specified to certain dates. Speaking from experience.
-
There is obviously a difference. I have two kids myself. But there are also lots of similarities. He can hardly claim that being a 100% committed family man is the reason he can’t stay at seagrave one night a week when he has such a high profile job on a ridiculous wage when he sees it fine to go to Europe to get drunk with his mates whilst his mrs who is 6months pregnant is on her own.
-
But it was fine for him to fly out to Copenhagen on the piss when she was 6ish months pregnant?
-
I just want to clarify that paternity leave in any job iirc is 2 weeks, unless it has changed in the last 2 years. A proper manager would have come in and addressed the players on whether they were 100% committed to the cause. Those who weren’t could have trained away from the first team. Those who committed could have also had conditions like living together at sea grave until the end of the season etc. all things that create a siege mentality. Yes many would have opted out and we’d have had to make up the numbers with kids, that would have been fine, and I can guarantee we’d have not only seen more passionate displays, but a higher points total too.
-
Marco Rose would certainly be one of the more attractive names. 0 chance we get him though.
-
The young lads couldn’t look more lost than the players we’ve had to watch all season.
-
Or Iraola. There are others too. Absolute madness. There was an array of decent managers available that season including de zerbi too. All were attainable.

What’s the best plan for our squad next season?
dooflip replied to Haywood_6's topic in Leicester City Forum
Been told this morning that Rudkin has been telling all the scouts there is not going to be any money to buy players and we will only be signing free agents. If true, that significantly limits our options. It also raises questions about the direction of the club given we will be selling the likes of Mads and bilal and bringing in decent money. -
That middlesborough game in the snow is memorable. Though the coldness was largely due to being soaked wet through.
-
Never in a million years. And I don’t want anyone in the pep mould either. We never mastered this style of playing, and it’s stopped being as effective as it was when it first came about. We need a manager who will have us playing with pashun and intensiteeeeeee. sit when we need to, pressing and harassing the opposition, and play a quick ball forward to a player who’s actually been bothered to move to find space when it’s on. Simples. Bonus points for us going back to leaving two players up when defending a corner.
-
Anyone with a decent set of knee pads and no gag reflex would be an adequate replacement going by what the man currently in post brings to/ under the table.
-
He’s not as good without Adi Viveash though mate. The two of them parting ways after their issues was the point where he started to struggle at cov.
-
Was he not our biggest threat against Brentford? are you an ostrich?

Never said he was, but if it gets rvn out the door and helps to create a siege mentality and an opportunity to try something different, most would take it at this stage.
