Perfect, sounds like an upgrade, when can you start?
-
This thread was inevitable. The stadium will be toxic by game week 6 if we haven’t won by then, and I don’t think there will be a way back for him by then. At that point we’ll have played Fulham, palace and Everton. Arsenal we won’t get anything but then it’s Bournemouth, Southampton, Forest and Ipswich. If for whatever reason he gets to that point but fails to get at least 3 wins from those 4 games, his position becomes untenable.
-
There we go, fixed that for you.
-
I actually want Rodgers out at the point, though it started earlier than that. So he’s not on his own. 8th that season was nowhere near where we should have finished, we had already bottled the champions league twice which wasn’t good enough given the context and how we bottled it.
-
Because we moved from collecting goalkeepers to collecting defenders, then collecting defensive midfielders and now we are collecting wingers. Eventually we will get to collecting 10s and strikers, just unfortunately not this window.
-
Deadline day signing all over this. Hopefully we can get chilly too on a two for one fire sale deal.
-
There is an alternative to him being sacked. If he has a lightbulb moment and changes things around then I’d be up for giving him a bit longer. If we perform the way we did today in the next few games he needs to go. problem is, we will be even more unattractive then. Blown 50m on crap. No money left, window closed. Unbalanced squad with zero creativity. …we are down lads. The quicker we come to terms with that, the easier it will be and we can go back to having a laugh chanting things like “we’ve got the ball” again.

He’s going to be even more of a forest legend in May.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid joins permanently - Official

It’s clear that we felt we needed to replace one of the out of contract wage collectors with the another. Rudkin masterclass. I may get hammered here, but I though the defensive shift he put in against spurs was good - though he offered little else. Today he was awful. But nobody comes out of that today looking good. -
Bilal will be mustard mate😛
-
Third time this window I think? Soule, Hlozek and now this lad. Fingers crossed it’s third time lucky, I’m not hopeful though.

Jordan Ayew Signs 2 year deal - Official

Shocking business. -
All of those points valid, still probably our best signing this window. From what I can gather, he is viewed as a hot prospect with a high ceiling - something we can’t say about anyone else we have signed apart from the kid we have borrowed for a year and golding who is probably a way off first team ready.
-
The problem is that nobody is giving us cash in return. We can’t even give away our squad players😂
-
Would be even better if they let us give them cannon and souttar permanently for hamer.
-
Did we privately change our head of recruitment? Because I was under the impression we went through the ordeal we did in getting the one we wanted because he was the don when it came to bringing in top young talent at low prices. Or does he have dyscalculia? We have signed Bobby de Cordova Reid and now ayew. Last year we spent 10m on coady who can’t get in the side. We’ve also spent 25m on an overpriced spurs reject. They all need sacking, head of recruitment included.
-
And we’ve spent 25m on a skipp. Absolute rudkin masterclass.
-
He kept us in the game last night, it has to be said. We’d have been dead and buried by half time with ward in goal.
-
What’s quite interesting is that multiple managers have attempted to replace him/phase him out. Some of the time it was under a different guise, such as “he’s too old to play every week” etc. Vards has always made that difficult for them because his ability and quality when needed has shone through. cooper comes in and is very clear that vardy is the main man at 37. Absolutely love it! One of our big mistakes as a club has been trying to play in a way that doesn’t suit our best player and arguably the biggest icon our club has ever had. He turned down big moves to stay here. Yes we pay him handsomely, but hate besides the point. He could have gone on to play champions league football every year and been payed much more. someone said on here a while ago that they travel, and wherever they go, when people find out they are from Leicester, the first thing they bring up is Jamie vardy.
-
I’m with you on that. If we can play with that level of pashun and intensiteeeeee every week we won’t have the lowest points tally ever, and we have a good chance of staying up. Absolutely loved the flies on sh*t vibes from our highest players whilst being forced in to a low block. We haven’t seen that kind of hunger for a long time.

I share this opinion. Decent squad player, that I think we can trust and rely on when we need to. Steady Eddie with a great attitude and work ethic - we need some of those. -
This lad is stealing a living. The sooner we can get him off the books the better.

Pashun and intensiteeeeeeeeeee was there for all to see. Proper graft. Backs to the wall first half, tough watch at times, but we hung in there and stayed in the game. Second half we were brilliant. If we do that every week we will be ok lads. -
Absolutely buzzing for the lad. Proved a lot of people wrong last night. He isn’t Roberto Carlos, but nowhere near the terrible player people make him out to be. We could do a lot worse, and have done in the past, than have him at left back. As did most of the team, he did very well last night. Still would like us to bring in another left back though.
