I think you have to score it based on the context of the mess we have created for ourselves. Obviously its unbelievable that we are in this position and pretty much unforgivable. But when you add the context of where we are right now, I think its been decent and is heading in the right direction.

I think a solid 7. We made food strides to remove the bad eggs. Weve kept the core of a good squad together and added the right kind of profile on minimal risk deals. We just really need Carranza to hit the ground running. Its been the biggest gap all season and I think James is a very good signing at this level, was very impressed with him in the games against Birmingham. All in all weve given ourselves a shot at promotion

If its cheap say £2m and hes in addition to a CM & a Striker. Then fine, I dont think its completely necessary, but no harm in adding depth. If its £5m+ and our only signing. Its insane

Just doesn't look ready, thought he was very poor in both games and got bullied. But hes only just turned 17 so theres plenty of time for him to learn and grow, cant be hammering the lad, its a big ask and a difficult position to play at such a young age.

Absolutely terrible until we went 2 up and then he did what hes good at...seeing out a win. Shouldn't be starting up front, absolutely kills our entire attack and game plan. Please buy Marti a striker, I cant watch 40 odd games of Ayew haha

Those taking shots given the terrible situation he inherited looking a bit silly tonight. We are still blunt in attack, but that is definitely down to lack of options. Hes got us well organised, probably the best weve been off the ball for a long time. Whilst its still not perfect, having this defensive foundation is certainly the start we build from. Just please let him bring in a couple of attacking options

Marti has really got us playing well without the ball. Good structure, good work rate and defending. Granted Birmingham were surpringly quite poor... The gap is so obvious, get a striker and a creative central midfielder. It really is the gap between trying to break into the play offs vs automatic for me

Ayews been involved, had some nice touches, but his general style of play is killing us going forward. When you have a defensive striker and 2 holding midfielders with no attacking qualities its tough to break teams down. Its been the same every game, it really is just a personel issue. Can't argue we look organised and more solid, but he cant work miracles with these attacking options.

Getting a better glimpse of how Marti wants us to play here, issue is still the quality of player trying to execute it, we havent done anything around the box minus a Birmingham mistake. Team is crying out for a striker and a 10 if BEK does go.

It would be negligence of the highest order to not find some attacking reinforcements. Which is Rudkins speciality to be fair.

Something must be going on, the squad is so obviously light in a few key areas and theres barely even a whisper of a rumour and Marti has pretty much shut all talk of signing people down. Like most have said, it cant be an official one as it would need to be announced and on the EFL website and is perhaps self imposed or an attempt to lessen the punishment from last year's breach? If true I would argue that dismantling squad to the point of relying on Ayew/Daka and the kids the fire us up the league quite simply wont happen and you would be better off just spending the money and taking the punishment. But as ever with the club thr fans are always the last to know.

The guys trying to pull together 16/17 year olds, mixed in with a group of aging mercenaries who for the most part are trying to get out. A squad that spent the most part of a year getting absolutely pumped every week, with a non existent leadership structure in the background, managed by 2 utter clowns. Hes not been allowed to spend a penny on any players for his system. People keep saying why is he playing X failing to realise Y isn't much better and hed probably get the same pelters. And to be honest who the hell would want this gig after him? A club in PSR mess, a board that has failed to back and lied to multiple managers. Honestly think getting top 6 would be an absolute miracle unless we see a complete 180 on spending in the next 10 days. For me I accept he wont be perfect, but hes playing the youth which most of us want and hes been dealt an awful hand. I think we are all going to have to dig deep and back him harder than we did with Cooper and RVN when it goes wrong.
