Mistaken identity on the failed medical and deal back on?

Wish he would of shot instead of going back to BDR. But hes class for this level, just want him to keep growing and getting better. I did think he was looking a bit leggy at the end which is understandable, ran his socks off in both games in a short turn around.

Mixed bag there I think. Some really nice passages of play, I thought page, alves and braybrooke in particular were great going forward. Souttar put himself about tonight, wasnt in self preservation mode like he started the season and Thomas is a much better centre back than left back, who knew! Disappointing parts for me were we seemed to slow the tempo down second half, a few times we were one pass away from getting in and we turned around and slowed the attack down unnecessarily imo and it almost cost us in the end. BDR involved alot at least but was really poor. Cullen invisible and a proper soft footballer, felt sorry for Bristric he was putting himself about. And fair play to Mccarthy good saves, but also stopped playing as many stupid passes and went long more often. Its a win to build on, loads of room for improvement. I also felt we needed another midfielder to come on, Braybrooke was looking leggy at the end there. Fingers crossed we get a couple of players over the line. Lets at least enjoy a win for once!

Going forward we look fine, thought Howell was really poor, hopefully the goal gets him going. Alves, page and braybrooke class as per usual. The only thing thats going to cost us this season is this dogmatic approach to playing out from the back with incapable players, honestly that pass from mccarthy to thomas when he was surrounded by 3 players was beyond parody of this brand of football. What on earth was mccarthy thinking....not sure ive got a year of him in goal in me.

Lucky bastard

Thats a season ender it looks it. Alex mccarthy time. Joy.

Yeah atm it just looks unlucky, but we have so much history with breaking players its hard to trust

Not at all, minor knee injury 2 years ago, missing a couple of months otherwise hes pretty much never injured 40 odd games a season for years

The last bit is the reality, just getting back to be a decent championship club like Bristol City is going to take 2-3 years at the earliest anyway.

Guess I'm asking an unanswerable question here, but you wonder if its the back up sale needed to bring in Riis and Ohora, should the mavididi/faes/woyo etc. moves collapse. It wouldn't make any sense to sell him otherwise.

Engagement farming.....I hope....

I said in theory! But send me your address just in case and I'll hook you up with these positive vibes haha

Every signing is a risk as we know all, I would say whilst hes not hugely prolific, he does score goals at least. Certainly more than players like BDR and Ayew. Over the last 5 years hes averaging a goal every 242 minutes of time played vs BDR at 396 and Ayew was at 568... If he settles well he should be in the high teens in league one...in theory....

Wait until we give him a 4 year deal next summer when hes a free agent...

Im as furious as most on here about the decline. But theres no way you could boo the young lads today, I feel like until King Power finally go and take rudkin with them we can never fully move on, theres just this horrible cloud we cant escape. We pretty much got what we've all been calling for, academy lads on the pitch, players running and fighting. Today imo wasnt possession for possession sake, we just lacked composure and got a bit unlucky.

If today had someone else in charge I think we would be more forgiving, we played well and were very unlucky in the end. That said it wasnt someone else and it is a bit of a hallmark of his football. Tuesday is huge for him and us, we have to turn a performance into a win and quickly or its going to snowball like it has the last couple of seasons.

Better team, lack of cutting edge in the box. Bring on Howell for burns and we should be fine enough.

Some good, some bad. Thomas at CB, if Okoli is off or injured then I guess its the best we can do, but how can we be this under prepared player wise in that position its crazy really. Pleased Chaplin is in and captain. Nice to see Page there. We have good options on the wings so its not desperate but appreciate Howell looked the better option mid week. No Cullen...decent Bobby Reid....no comment 😬

This was always going to be the reality of appointing him, which is why regardless of the football, it was such a silly appointment, he is a polarising figure in the football media, most fans cant relate to him and its a hard sell. I know this is an internet forum so people always feel the need to be extreme in their views, but we have to try and get behind him, like you say we are stuck with him and willing him to fail is counter intuitive, maybe he will turn out to be a bit like Puel, not well loved but a decent stepping stone to better things, or maybe he will turn out like a majority expect and be sacked before Christmas, but we need to take things as they come and not constantly look for the negative spin on everything he does.

This is making a point territory isnt it. I know we dont love Russell but hes not this stupid without it being a bit loaded.

I was amazed he took a job in the UK, it always felt like he needed to go abroad and rebuild.

Saintswitch FC! Id be surprised if he came down to league one, but you never know with the ipswich connection

Most of the vocal King Power out fans dont go anymore. There are quite a few I know that still go, agree its Tops fault but would never ever vocalise it other than in private. They just mock me and others for letting Top and Rudkin "rattle" us so much and laugh. I dont get it 🤷‍♂️
