ChatGPTop with a predictably timed message. At least it shows they are genuinely worried about the tide turning. This AI generated statement doesn't get released without the Project Reset protest.

How long have we been on a downward trajectory?
Iwebema replied to Haywood_6's topic in Leicester City Forum
There was already a thread on when people believed it went wrong. I think @moore_94 (sorry if it wasn't you) posted a long list of inexplicably stupid things that we've done in terms of purchases, contracts and sales. Which in isolation obviously happen, but collectively look appalling. I think when you mix that in with the worst relegation in history. The zero accountability for it. The owner telling the fans they have no right to complain. 3 managers in a row lied to about money. Breaching FFP twice but finding loopholes. The dodgy as hell sponsor thats now been called out. The owner putting his face on the programme when Shakey died. The club actively stopped the fans organising anything, didn't they block a mental health awareness display? Or something similar. There's probably more, that was just off the top of my head. Again in isolation sometimes things happen and clubs get it wrong, but there's just a huge ever growing list of "Did we really do that?" it's becoming really hard to argue we are well run and every year we get further away from 2016 and ever year using that as a stick to beat annoyed fans with loses its effectiveness -

Still out of his depth. Poor decisions in the 2nd half, too dogmatic in his approach, I get Ndidi needed to be protected, first game and all, but to just ask Winks to play the same role like it's a game of Football Manager was very niave. At the same time our inability to give him a team that have a chance of playing his system cant be forgotten. He's trying to play his brand of football with ancient wingers who offer very little, always looking to pass backwards instead of taking players on. This squad is painfully limited and I still deflect my anger to the morons above him, who are the most culpable for this shit show we have to watch every week. -
Reminds me of that Josh Cullen that plays for Burnley. Pretty decent in the championship, woefully out of his depth at this level in the role he plays.
-
Done by a lino. But in reality we were cooked. Poor subs, the moment Ndidi went off we were done, harry winks was their best player. I just don't get the obessesion with Ayew, he doesn't really help out defensively that much, doesn't move off the ball, kills counter attacks by passing is 10 yards backwards the moment he's got it. Just a nothing player and since palace looks like he's not arsed at all. What are we really learning by persisting with him anymore, get the kids on and see if they can do something. Honestly season can't end quick enough so I don't have to watch these mentally weak failures for a few months.

Jordan Ayew offering us less than nothing. Might aswell not of come out 2nd half
-
Captain Faes. Yikes.
-
Decent enough first half. Soumare started like he'd never played professional football before, but got less awful as the half wore on. Okolis mobility has made us better at the back....although man united look like they have less confidence than us! Ndidi has been massive, really missed him doing the dirty work. Bilal absolute quality again. Just need to raise the intensity and keep focused. Waiting for the faes clanger...ha
-
The game is there for us, crowd are silent, they fancy it less than we do. Just need to turn up the pace and intensity
-
One positive, Ndidi has added some much needed bite in the middle. We've missed him even though he's technically limited he gets stuck in. We've been way too passive for weeks.
-
Two terrible teams, low on confidence, giving the ball away relentlessly. Really poor game. Half the players on both teams don't look that bothered, concentration levels are extremely low.
-
Yeah I know this might be a bit controversial....and of course he's a legend...but I don't think Vardy is helping in this space.
-
The main reason was the players, they never took to him, actively complained about him and as we know some bigger players have a direct line to Top....
-
Its very easy to do, it's just the desire to do it that's lacking from Top, he's too far in with people like Rudkin and some others. I admit I don't know alot about Friend as a DOF, but I wouldn't say Bristol Rovers are exactly excelling, he doesn't seem to have a strong reputation, put it this way I don't think any club close to our stature would have him on a short list for a role like this. Which is where my cynicism kicks in because I'm very aware of how reluctant Rudkin is to losing any power or control he has. That said, if this were to happen you have to give him a chance to prove himself and at least it would start to signal that at least there's some recognition that something needs to be done, it's like step 1 in a very long slow process in removing Rudkin from on field decisions.
-
My immediate thought was exactly this, if we are too bring one in just for the optics, bring in someone young and cheap, someone who won't rock the boat and doesn't take away the power. I know it sounds cynical but it's hard not to be after the last few years.

I have such little faith in us to find the right manager, I just don't think I care either way. RVN has been poor, but he's had no help they've kind of hung him out to dry, it might of made no difference but at least we could say we tried. If I had some faith in the powers that be to actively go and find a good manager I would want a change and to be honest if we can't afford to buy players we can't afford to buy out a good manager from another team so we are back to unwanted cast offs. I think its probably best to just let him see it out go down regardless and then try and buy out Danny Rohl or someone similar in the summer. -
He was a key part of Norwich getting promoted a few years ago. We keep moaning there is no plan, here is the plan 👀
-
Yep, just the lack of even trying. Won 1 in 9, just got absolutely slapped by a terrible Everton team with key injuries and you are telling me there isn't a single player out there who could of come in and made some difference? Everyones just given up. Not sure I can bring myself to go down again.
-
I think this is what angers me and a lot of people the most. How dramatic the decline is and how avoidable it all was that's intensified the feelings and emotions around it. It's one thing for us to have been like a Crystal Palace stable, unspectacular premier league team who got relegated, it would be a bit of a shock, they wouldn't of been favourites, but also it happens you can only tread water for so long. But to have been challenging top 4, the wages we gave out, the signings we made and to just coast, so badly it's quite gauling, it's not a normal relegation or a normal trajectory that "Just happens" and then on top of that as a fan to just watch absolutely no one be held account for it and be told to just be happy you had some good years doesnt sit right with me at all.

Can't argue with Bournemouth. I can remember saying to my mates, proper teams, teams that genuinely want to consistently be up there don't lose games like that, or at least when they do, they don't accept it. We then followed that up with two limp losses to spurs and man united. We then had a net spend of £4m that summer sold chillwell, bought in Castagne and Fofana which at the time felt like rodgers really pushed hard for the Fofana. It screamed to me that we were coasting in the background.

Almost 25 years old. Odd career, my favourite thing I read on him Irving was sold to West Ham United on transfer deadline day in September 2023, but was immediately loaned back to Austria Klagenfurt.[17] Despite neither club confirming the transfer at the time, this was eventually done by Austria Klagenfurt managing director Günther Gorenzel in December 2023.

This is it, unfortunately caring isn't competence. The worst decision he made was surrounding himself and trusting those around him so deeply and wanting to be everyone's mates. You cannot run a successful business where all you want to do is be everyone's friend, you can never have real performance conversations. I do understand why after Vichai died he leant on people like Rudkin, but at some point he has to realise they have let him down. My hope has always been he sees this and sorts himself out, but if he can't grow up and stand up to them then I think the only way out of this is for him to sell. I honestly hope he sees sense but I think the charlatans have the claws in too deep.

Rudkin will need a fall guy 👀 -
And from what I've read/heard this was a key reason he rejected us twice, we wouldn't budge on it and lessen Rudkins role, and he wouldnt allow a DOF he didn't trust to essentially do what Chelsea did to him.
