  1. Sick of seeing that thread for our leader to be removed every time I come on here. Some positivity wouldn't go amiss. 3 cheers for Cooper! Hip hip!
  2. Could let us know the school could you? Just so I don't take my kids there. Cheers.
  3. You were a boy in 2020?
  4. I don't think Emery would come here if he had chance to take over the Newcastle project and said no. He has done so well by being a great coach but also doing his due diligence on clubs beforehand. One Google of John Rudkin would put off Mike Bassett from coming here.
  5. I'd like to see exactly this tbh. I think it'll be winks and skipp with Ndidi as a 10 though.
  6. I liked Winks against Everton. Started a lot of attacks in second half and a lot comes through him in general. Skipp is absolutely our best player though. Has potential to be an unreal signing.
  7. It's that word consistency again though isn't it. We had the initial agenda of setting 12 or 13 minutes to try and make up for every second of lost time. Now they still do that but seemingly for whoever they feel it necessary. That Hull game last season still sticks in my memory as one of the most bizarre when he added just 3 minutes when we had all the subs and a shit load of time wasting from Hull. Like VAR and refereeing decisions, it's just make it up as you go along from these clowns.
  8. I am firmly Cooper in, but please stop playing Vardy so long. We need to have much more of a focal point in the latter stages of games. We need options. It just leads to a constant onslaught. Give the opposition something to think about. Vardy hopeless jogging into channels and barely pressing is just inviting pressure. He doesn't defend that high up, he offers nothing later in games. I have no issues starting him because of his awareness and experience but stop playing him so ****ing long.
  9. No but this narrative is getting boring. Ricardo wasnt any good against Walsall. Our fanbase just go down a rabbit hole with certain agendas and they are rarely right.
  10. We might as well just let Foxestalk blame Justin for everything and believe Ricardo is the best right back of all time at this stage.
  11. Lovely of Roy Keane to comment about it in his book. "Surprised they found a heart, you wouldn't think he had one the way he played" Very different character for the cameras now though our Roy.
  12. Hermansen and Skipp I don't think anyone can doubt. Mavididi is showing the class we hoped he would. The rest you can make a case for all not being good enough for the Premier League. Or at least they're here because no other Premier League team wanted them when we were in the Championship.
  13. Love how if we had 5 or 6 games on everyone would be going mad about the times and we haven't got hardly any and it's still a reason to moan. Maybe we just like moaning?
  14. We're on 3 points
  15. Don't worry, this thread will have 58 pages on how absurd it is Cooper isn't playing him by next summer.
  16. I think every manager I can remember being successful here, or anywhere, stuck to their principles and don't give in to what fans wanted. As it always should be. You get a lot of fan myths that get created. We have a couple now. Alves is the next Ronaldo, and let's completely ignore Ricardo's last Premier League season because he clearly is the answer for right back. (Ignore his performance Tuesday too).
  17. I thought against Everton he looked like one of our better players. Admittedly not saying much. But he keeps the ball very well and gets us further up field. Usually to win a free kick. I can see why Cooper rates him so much. I think he's perfect for a scrap, which I couldn't say about the more glamorous names we had last time we were in the Premier League.
  18. First balanced and reasonable take I've seen on here in months. I don't agree that it's delusions of grandeur from the likes of TALKSHITE because we have always had that condescending view of our club to keep us in our place since the title win. But there definitely needs to be more balance and a realisation that this hasn't been the worst start in the world. I got told the Walsall game didn't matter in the Alves thread when everyone said to lump him and all the other youngsters in even if we lose, so I'm not judging a 0-0 with ****ing Soumare playing either. All that said, if we don't win in that run of games after Arsenal even I won't be able to defend him and it will be quite clearly time to go. I think he will win 2 of them though. Just hope one is the scum.
  19. Can I stop and yours after? I have a 6 pack of Carling. Thanks in advance
  20. As much as I do want us to stick with Cooper, I find it incredibly patronising to have pundits base opinions on us as a fanbase from their extremely limited knowledge of the situation. Simon Jordan, to be fair to him, was probably the only person outside our club that I seen speak well about Rodgers and judge the situation exactly from our view that he should take way more accountability. But even then, Simon Jordan is only doing his usual stance of criticising the manager because of his Chairman background. As intelligent as he is, he's extremely biased towards owners when any scenario about managers and players is discussed. On this, I am a fan of Cooper but couldn't give a shit what people like Jim White want to say. It's their kind of uniformed nonsense that enabled Rodgers to stay in a job as long as he did.
  21. ****in hell this got a bit deep for a football forum
  22. I'm not sure. Im not old enough to remember. I just know that it took 210 minutes to beat a Conference team as a Premier League team under one of our best ever managers who was quite negative in style. Was just saying it happens.
  23. The biggest worry for me is how we start games. Bit similar to what we had with Southgate at the Euros where he's having to come out reassuring everyone that he's telling them to press. Stuff like that should be getting across as a bare minimum. Then we seem to get a response. There is fight in them and I do think if we see a positive result we could see a corner turned. I certainly don't think this is long enough to write his obituary but there is a big worry when players get the arse. I do think that's happened with Ricardo and a few others.
  24. There's a lot of bullshit to what he says. He doesn't seem normal if I'm gonna be polite. It's pretty obvious Milan thought by employing a lower league manager it would make doing all of his money laundering transfers a lot easier. It's a ****ing miracle him and Harry beat the tax man in court.
  25. I'm still a fan of Cooper and this might sound like an excuse for him but isn't meant to be - how much do you think being a team that sets up to stop the other team affects going into games like last night? I think back to Martin O'Neil's games against Hereford where I think it was 0-0 and the replay took extra time. It's like when you suddenly have to switch the mindset from being defensive to suddenly being on front foot they find it a lot more difficult. Despite opposition being a lot weaker.
