  1. It's actually really poor that it's gone from an hour phone in to about 35 minutes with talk of women's football shoehorned for the last 20. I defend the BBC a bit more than most because I know there won't be local radio like it is if the license fee goes, and a lot of us still use Radio Leicester a lot for football. Reducing the biggest discussion they have on it like they have is very poor. It's why podcasts like this one have become more popular because the content certainly isn't any worse and you get so much more.
  2. It was quite a listen on his show once the news broke. First they had KSI ready to come on, who conveniently pulled out at last minute so they laughed it off as "he's a busy man". Clearly his agent said stay away from that. Then instead of usually having callers we were left with poor Jermaine Pennant having to articulate his way through an hour, including having to answer all the quizzes meant for phone-ins himself. I don't see how there can be 2 sides to the story really. It's either unsolicited or it's mutual and he's been sacked. Sure it'll all come out.
  3. I know! What was the point agreeing to sit and do an interview? 😂 You don't just get outright sacked unless there's absolutely conclusive evidence. If there's even some evidence presented by him that it was mutual then he'd be suspended pending an investigation at the minute.
  4. I watched this for about 23 minutes then thought what the **** am I doing
  5. If he did play how he did against Spurs consistently then he would absolutely suit teams like Barcelona that we laughed at him being suggested for in the summer. Ball playing defender who can tackle well and be the focal point for attacks. We all obviously know that the issue is it's finding that consistency, and at times he is capable of sublime to the ridiculous. Kind of why he suits being at Leicester.
  6. More like there's fans who have dived into their pockets to give you something so what more do you want Marc? It's just who the club really are now.
  7. Why the **** don't our stands have names?
  8. Fickle would be praising how great he is and then slagging him off when he left. I consistently said the same about Enzo the fraud.
  9. Jesus I hope he doesn't read Foxestalk. Not only was it possibly in his character to throw a game and commit a crime but he was also too shit at football to manage it. Don't forget the club released retro shirts with his name on not long back 😂
  10. We won the games we should have and had a very suspect record against top 8 teams in the Championship. So the theory of it dragging players out of position and outdoing them that way never really washed with me. We were flat track bullies last season. We won promotion because of the sheer amount of games where teams just sat in and let us attack really. On the point of what British fans want - I think you are going down the dinosaur route again that a lot of people who didn't like to watch that kind of football were. I don't think we needed to be so safe last season. And I also don't think we'd have seen us unlocking teams playing that way this season. It just didn't work like that during games. We kept being told they'd be another gear. But that was the gear. End of the day it worked out well for us and Enzo in the end in terms of the end result was promotion. I just don't see why some think that completely vindicates the tactics. I see today his brilliant man management is already freezing out Sterling. I give him a month there.
  11. None of the Enzo purists can tell me how we played in that 2nd half doesn't get the whole crowd going more than any of his football ever did. I much prefer us playing like this. Shoot me.
  12. This comment reminds me of when my Dad said I think the Turkey is so nice because it's from M&S and not because of how Mum cooked it. She left him months later.
  13. This fixture will always bring back memories of that final nail in the coffin last time. I don't think you can witness such a polar opposite as a fan as that team we put out that day to the teams we had for years before it. It was the absolute confirmation we had lost the Leicester we knew. For that reason I'd love a performance like 2nd half last night and to see us give it a right go. Even if we don't come out on top.
  14. Either that or his farts stink
  15. You always become a better player when you aren't playing. Likewise when you play 46 championship games and have the odd bad one you suddenly can't cut it in the Prem. Some of our players disproved that last night and I think we just have to trust the managers opinion that Cannon isn't ready. I think this is another one on the awful hierarchy again. Signings should be aligned with a vision and have a clear plan. When we signed him there were mentions of the African Cup of nations and Daka/Nacho being away. You don't sign a striker, who doesn't fit your pressing style, just for one month then never play him again. It's another completely avoidable waste of money from the club.
  16. As bad as some of the shit they think is adding to the atmosphere is, I do get the feeling some of you would prefer piss and beer stinking turnstiles, and having coins lobbed at you by away fans for 90 minutes.
  17. It's great to be able to see pragmatism from a manager. We've waited a long time for it. Cooper is perfect for a dogfight. Okay we had to have a lot of luck first half but we absolutely could have won it in the second half and not one person watching the game thought that could happen. We can only take positives from that. You have to think the difference between that first half where we could be 2 or 3 down with an extremely toxic atmosphere on and off the pitch compared to the scenes second half could make all the difference to new players and the season as a whole. This is exactly why the friendly choices were another in a long list of absolute cock ups from the club. I try and be as positive as possible for Leicester so the one and only negative for me is the likes of Rudkin just about doing enough to get away with things again. Every time others like Cooper do their jobs, I feel like it vindicates Rudkin to Top.
  18. They could have scored more first half but there's also something about the great teams where when that doesn't happen, they don't just relentlessly try the same thing. In Spurs case that means they are often quite tired in phases and still playing a high line with not very capable passers at the back. They could absolutely do with a phase where they sit in and counter. I think bringing Brennan Johnson on when teams are nackered is a better option. No way he's getting enough goal contributions to warrant starting. He won't create enough for them when they need it.
  19. Which I think was planned. Just not to that degree. I tell you what Spurs are going to be in trouble this season with Ange's style. I admire that he loves his team to play but their backline in possession is absolute suicide. We easily could have scored 3 last night and only really pressed properly for that 25 minute window.
  20. Puel never spoke about intensity He spoke about intensiteeeeeeeeeee
  21. Another one where we need to accept his faults but I love his work ethic. Something that was unbelievably lacking last time we were at this level. The way he wouldn't let Johnson get away with taking the ball off him was refreshing to see after the casual jogs of Youri still haunting me. The only worry I have is him being asked to push forward where he seems weaker than just being a traditional full back. I can see us being exposed down that side.
  22. I don't want to say I told you so but yet again there was some ridiculously over the top shit about players last season and Faes was one of them despite being great for the first 30 odd games. There's this very basic and uneducated viewpoint that having bad games in the Championship must mean you can't possibly be good enough for the Premier League. You play 46 games plus cup matches. Maresca barely rotated that position too. You're bound to have bad games. He's a Belgian international. He has glaringly obvious faults but for where we are at we should accept those because performances last night are as good as we will get for the price he cost.
  23. I don't think you can quite underestimate how huge that second half could be in the trajectory of our football club. We have a new hope.
  24. Superb tonight. Him and Vestegaard.
  25. Superb second half. This has given me belief no matter what happens now.
