  1. To be fair I can see him getting 20+ in that league no problem
  2. Agreed but if this place has taught me anything it's our fans are very rarely right about any new manager or new signing. Every single legend we've had in the last 30 years wasn't fancied when they come here. Managers and players.
  3. The massive difference between Rafa and Cooper is Cooper's determination to win over fans and be loved. Martin O'Neill was synonymous with Forest. Wes Morgan was. There's a few that have had to win us over and weren't liked initially. O'Neill got pure hatred and Morgan was labelled a competition winning donkey for months. He can absolutely win us over but he's not been given the best chance by those above.
  4. His injuries stopped him going to a really top team. But they've allowed us to keep a player that was absolutely miles ahead of the Championship because no one would touch him. I just worry about how he looks now. Hopefully we can't read anything into this pre season at all
  5. I really wanted the only positive of relegation to be that they had a huge wake up called and sorted all their problems from the top down. They have done anything but. There were also things I didn't like under Vichai. I think they were probably overlooked too much because everything else was a success. Which is fair enough. But those issues have amplified under Top. You only have to look at charging £25 for season cards, £10 to watch friendlies on Foxeshub and having Thai influencers parade a ****ing bus compared to a club that a few years ago was the only one to say no to charging fans to watch COVID games to see this is not the same club it was. I don't know who's left in that time but it feels like whoever had a bit of empathy for fans,or even just common sense, has gone. Or maybe it's always been like this under Vichai too but we were just lucky to have had Pearson and his staff do all they did to make the owners look far more impressive than they actually ever were. Who knows.
  6. This transfer probably made him think there was a lot to spend. Who spends that much on a centre back if you have 5 and not much to spend?
  7. I am a big fan of Cooper but I do worry about being so open about this in public. It doesn't exactly inspire the players that are here now.
  8. Couple of signings this week and we will look back and laugh about this pre season
  9. I think for the past 4 years my first thought when opening Foxestalk is just praying no fans from Forest or any other club are looking on here. The amount of ammunition some of you give everyone else. Just reign it in a bit
  10. Please delete this
  11. I honestly think he's caught with a dilemma of the club wanting to continue EnZo ball and him being very conscious he's going to be quickly labelled as a negative coach from his Forest days so he's trying to play a style that isn't suiting him or the players. I'm not going to overreact at a friendly but you certainly don't want this the week before we start.
  12. Ayy tell you what that Fulgini looks a player doesn't he? If he doesn't win Man of the Match there's no justice. Three cheers for Fulgini
  13. I'm really sad I can't get to Coventry now Said no one ever
  14. I think the biggest revisionism has come after he got away with one big time because of others bottling it. He was genuinely clueless many times towards the end of the season and we absolutely did not play Enzo ball against Southampton so I'm unsure why you're so annoyed at people saying we didn't. Even Enzo moaned after the match we didn't play how he likes. You'll die on your hill and I will on mine. Our team absolutely should have won the league and I think playing better and with more points. Leeds failing doesn't make us doing exactly as expected any better. I am thankful we got out that league but we are just very lucky so many didn't try and play against us. Especially at home. As soon as he got worked out the form was relegation worthy and he wouldn't have got any better. Good luck Chelsea. You're gonna ****ing need it.
  15. I think it's unfair to say struggled to win titles when they amassed the points tally they did over those 3 seasons. They were a better team than most the teams who have won the Premier League. Just in an era where Man City have been allowed to have basically 2 elite XIs
  16. He also achieved a hell of a lot more. He was also very disliked by sections too because of his antics. He's from from liked by some on here.
  17. “As a football fan, nothing should be off limits with your coach" Damn, wish I'd married Steve Cooper instead of the Wife.
  18. *Because Pearson made a much less in depth squad unbelievably more exciting to watch, then went on to build the foundations for every success we have. Also got more points than Maresca managed.
  19. I like the balance that Klopp found with it where they have an engine on midfield that dictates the play and relentless pressing with high tempo. It's just a much better watch than Pep's teams. I hate how it's become either you want to play like Man City or you're an out of touch dinosaur who wants kick and rush. No one wants to be bored going to watch their team play. I think it's a bit of a common misconception that football fans ask for a lot. I think in the main we don't. We are quite patient. But anyone who thinks winning the league with that Leicester team in the championship is a complete vindication of those tactics are absolutely deluded.
  20. You're absolutely right but you can keep the ball a lot more without the ultra safe style we seen on play too often last season. We were easy to play against for most the teams towards the end. Not even good teams. Theres 15 home games last season where the opposition barely even attempted to beat us. Quicker tempo, better ideas and pragmatism were needed at so many times and we didn't get that. I won't go into a debate about Maresca again because anyone who's seen my posts know what I think of that "style". I just hate to think we are accepting football should be that boring now.
  21. Hope we view this through a different lens If you'll pardon the pun
  22. It was just really impressive now he made that what he wanted to talk about first I thought. Wasn't a question pushed on him at the end. It's massive to supporters to have a manager that gets the club. Really hope he hits the ground running because he can be great here.
  23. I wouldn't take Rodgers word completely. It was really eye opening how the ownership at Liverpool spoke about he'd blatantly lie to the press about deals or reason for lack of deals. I don't know how he could think he could max out the wage budget like he did and it have no consequences when we didn't get into Europe. Which was his own failing. He's one of the biggest reasons we are where we are now. As much as he's done a great job of spinning otherwise.
