https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/evans-ferguson-pulis-man-united-26179465 Evans has history as the OP said. Not saying he 'fakes' injury but previous managers, and some pretty decent ones, comments on how they managed his mentality around injuries. I wonder how BR managed this?

Was great again tonight. Excellent passing, driving forward with the ball and combative. Couple of moments caught wanting too much time again but showed massive desire to win it back which we didn't see before. I like this Bouba!

Point gained today in spite of him! Bailed out today by Soutter who was mostly excellent and 1 passage of good play in 90 mins. Changed the GK situation at last, about 20 games too late. Omitted Mendy and Kelechi who IMO deserved to start. Left Tete stranded on the right with Ricky P playing a weird inverted role, then subbed Tete as soon as he came to life (again) Substitutions negatively affected our game again; 1) timing was odd, just as we started to apply some pressure 2) personnel was odd Soumare was never going to impact the game positively. Horrible little manager.

Daniel Iversen - Unlucky for the goal, distribution shocking. Better than DW. - 5 Ricardo Pereira - Not much of an attacking threat playing weird inverted role, but defended well - 6 Daniel Amartey - Didn't notice him which is a good thing. - 6 Harry Souttar - Organised well apart from the goal, and colossal in the air MOTM - 7 Timothy Castagne - Meh - 5 Wilfred Ndidi - Made some good intercepts and broke up play but his passing is diabolical - 5 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall - Did well for the goal and improved second half. Gives it away too easily 90% of the time. - 5 Tetê - Woeful first half. Subbed as soon as he did anything positive. - 4 James Maddison - Got his assist with a great through ball, but not at his brilliant best. - 6 Harvey Barnes - Nice finish. Overall to predictable and wasteful when in wide areas. - 6 Patson Daka - Looks like he doesn't want to shoot, which is understandable when you shoot like he does. - 4 Dennis Praet (sub) - Meh - 4 Jamie Vardy (sub) - His second touch would be a tackle if he could be arsed or had the pace. Shadow of his former self - 4 Boubakary Soumaré (sub) - Gave away fouls and put us under unnecessary pressure. Waste of space. - 3 Kelechi Iheanacho (sub) - 5 Brendan - Got the GK selection right but that was about it. Mendy and Kelechi should be more involved and subs ruined our momentum - Nout -
Agree - another masterclass! Nice to see him winning duels and sprints despite the odd position!

Tete, KDH and Daka completely anonymous. Barnes not much better. Wilf cant pass. You simply can't perform with half your outfield players performing like that. Ricky P looks good!!

This! All of the negativity I see here towards the singing section, UFS and even the song choices is infuriating. Support in the form of creating an atmosphere in the stadium that 1) Encourages our team 2) Makes the opposition feel less comfortable 3) Puts pressure on officials to make decisions favourable to us is precisely our role as fans. It's about generating a home advantage. I fully support UFS in their efforts to create this, it's bizarre that anyone going to the KP or commenting on here would think differently. I take the point that the football is dull at the moment and not conducive to an electric atmosphere but FFS lets all get behind the team and shout, sing, cheer them on to a few more wins this season so we can enjoy Premier League football for years to come. It really could make the difference IMO.

The arrogant little man, who has spent almost a whole season moaning about lack of investment and the need for a refresh of players starts with just 1 of his new signings. Under-estimating and disrespecting the Blackburn side we saw today. Starts Amartey and Thomas, after whinging for months that his squad lacks quality and having recently signed replacements for these players. No Mendy ....... clearly been our best DM over last few weeks/months. No Kelechi ........ Mr FA cup and our only likely looking scorer in recent weeks. What was he thinking with that starting 11? Changes needed to be made at half time. Thomas was struggling and on a yellow yet remained on the pitch. Should have been dragged, Mendy and Kelechi could of and probably should of been introduced too. Yet he makes no changes. Waits till we're 2 down to make any changes! Too late. Drags Tete just as he starts to have an impact on the game, for Daka, so we're playing with 3 strikers. Yes, Tete had been poor but he had started to gain some confidence and played his part in the goal and made some nice passes just moments before his substitution. Groundhog day! Please grow a set Top. Times well and truly up for Brendon.

He has now had the chance to resurrect his career playing at the highest level in England and Germany. At decent clubs, in brilliant cities. It's not about finance either, he would earn the same money out on loan as we would have to cover any shortfall. It's not like we are trying to farm him off to the Middle East or China. Yeah we have to honour his contract, and that is our big mistake, but those of you defending a footballer that doesn't want to go and play football need to give your head a wobble.

Same old, same old. Slow in possession, no clever movement off the ball. Been the same for over a year. Half the outfield players (Daka, Barnes, Amartey, Thomas and KDH) not at the level required. Hard to imagine anything will change with Rogers in charge, even with a couple of transfers in.

Walt is a better man! And a superb player.

Faes, Madders, Tielemans were excellent all 8+. Soumare, Justin, Ward, Amartey played well. 7's. Daka, KDH, Castagne, Barnes pretty poor really. 4/5's -
After the subs (60min) we actually looked like a decent side again. Before that shambolic and lucky to be leading. Would like to see us start with Mendy / Vards and Praet. Madders in the 10. So much better. Youri and Wout superb again.

Hate to say it but our own Leicester lads. Barnes and KDH were absolutely abysmal today. As bad as our centre backs and GK. Castagne / Soumare / Daka didn't disgrace themselves. The rest should be ashamed. -
How many points in next 5 games to keep Rodgers?

40pts -
The notion we can't afford to sack him is interesting, I'd argue we can't afford to have him anywhere near the club any longer even if it costs 25 mill to get rid. At best he stays and we continue to lose value from the assets we have invested in (the players), we all know how important this is to our model. It only takes Madders to have a poor season and Castagne to continue to be benched and we've lost millions in potential resale value, that's just 2 players. He has already had a hand in wiping off 30-40 mill from Cags value in the last year or so. At worse we get relegated, estimates put this at a 50 mill + loss.(deloitte) Let's get the poison dwarf paid off and go again! Hanging on is a total false economy.

0-1 nobody else wanna start the post match thread v Manure ?
BACKO replied to justfoxes's topic in Leicester City Forum
Easy 3 pts for an extremely average Man Utd side! We offered absolutely nothing. Wake me up when he has gone. -
Of all the teams in the Premier League this season Bournemouth and Leicester have looked the worst. We have just sold our best defender and its looking likely we will sell our best midfielder too. Anyone that thinks relegation is not a possibility needs a quick reality check. If Brendan goes before/during the International break I'd back us to stay up and be mid table, if he stays I think we are in a relegation fight.
-
He was comfortably outpaced in a footrace by (I think) Saliba last weekend over 20-30m. Having been subbed on vs Saliba's 60 mins in 35 deg heat. He ain't quick.
-
Brendan is baiting Top to get rid. He doesn't want to be here. Ridiculous as it sounds, is there is another logical explanation for his team selections / substitutions / pre + post match comments this season? Hopefully today the real boss saw enough to pull the plug even if it means a significant payout! Maybe thats another reason the chequebook has remained closed to date. Fingers crossed. Bye Brendan.

Simply not good enough physically or mentally. Nacho offers much more.
-
Midfield changes required. We really miss N'didi in this type of game.
-
haha I'm 41, 5,7 and cant jump and I'll bet mine I can win a header against him.
-
Gets bullied and bundled over by players half his size. Cant jump. And one of the slowest players i've seen live. If I was ANY premier league striker I'd be licking my lips at the prospect of him lining up against me. What was he doing allowing a cross to come in yesterday for Burnley's 2nd? And the disallowed goal at the end was an absolute embarrassing attempt from him to win an easy header to clear danger. Stating the obvious here, but this was a panic buy and a rare piece of extremely bad business from us. We need Evans and Fofana fit badly, Jannick at the back for any length of time will see us leaking comical goals. Big Dan must be fuming!

Claude please take Wes off now before the ref does!
