Inspired by the Chippies thread.... Large battered sausage & chips from a chippy in Syston.

Looks like an F15, probably a USAF one. Frequent vistors to Wales and the Mach loop. They often fly over Leicestershire to get there from their bases in Suffolk.

Which album do you revisit the most often?

I saw Echobelly at the DMU SU also. Still got the ticket as well. Shame the place got knocked down, saw a few decent bands there back in the 90s... Orbital, Spiritualized, Dodgy, plus a few others I can't remember. -

So who's old enough to have used Windows 95? The video for Buddy Holly came with it so show how computers could play video. Great video as well -

Easier said than done sourcing a load of buses and drivers on a Sunday night with little notice

The problem was caused by a lightning strike near Nottingham. Let's hope it can get fixed quickly

He joined the Foos on stage a while back when they covered Never Gonna Give You Up. Must be a mutual appreciation.

The midland mainline electrification project is missing out Leicester as well. Will stop at Wigston and restart again north from Syston with the Leicester section done at a later date. Whole section is a bottleneck through Leicester and needs a new layout, plus they can't fit wires under the London Road bridge into the station easily. Any link from the Burton line to Leicester that doesn't need a reversing move will be massively expensive, plus can't see them wanting a terminating service near the KP. You might as well just invest in the bus routes into Leicester, have express services to compliment the ones that stop at every village (bit like the Skylink service between Derby / EMA and Leicester). I guess this is why they're talking about running a train service to Derby before Leicester.

Always preferred Cheers to Frasier but let's hope for some cameos from both shows. Always good to see Nickolas Lyndhurst on the telly. Trailer wasn't great though

Yep, quite funny back in the day. Decent theme tune as I recall as well. One minute starring in Bread, the next you're brown bread. RIP

Either the knitting banksy of Syston has ran out of ideas, or the fella in the black t-shirt at the back of the OPs photo is @VardyCoyleScarf

Colin Murray probably the best Countdown host since Whiteley tbf, brings a relaxed and fun feel to the show. Anyway, big fan of Countdown so good luck... Do we have an octo-champ in our midst?

Is the Crows Nest on Glenfield Rd still a pub or a kids theme park these days? Went past it for the first time in years recently, looked rather different from when it was my local in the 90s. Bouncy castles and fake palm trees everywhere.

Spent a few months working at one of the DPD hubs at Hinckley earlier this year. Bit of a shambles tbh, can see why stuff goes missing with them.

Who can forget the great Parky Vs Rod Hull & Emu interview. RIP
