  1. He's already at a bigger club than Brighton!
  2. The greatest day of my footballing life. By some distance. The league win had a slow build and tbh, felt inevitable from about Palace, Watford onwards. It also had the consolation of CL football if we blew it. FA Cup was all or nothing. It was magical.
  3. I like the logic, but the club ain't that clever. As for Dorsett, I don't think he has an inside track however he reads the club, the noises and the balance of probability like we do. His assessment is, percentage wise, the most likely outcome
  4. His presser had absolutely no indication there was "trouble at 'mill'
  5. Brentford haven't got a hope in hell
  6. If we are that desperate for money, why and how did we spuff tens of millions in the summer? Biggest spending spree ever at this level It's a non story. Brighton made enquiry. And now trying to unsettle the player.
  7. We are miles and miles ahead of Burnley. They haven't got a player who'd make our team. This story has Wilf to forest story all over it. If it don't make sense it don't make sense..This deal would be lunacy of the highest order. If we really needed the cash, we'd be better offer touting Wout Faes out
  8. I know. So annoying these weird labels stick on our players. We did the same for Madders.
  9. He won't be sold. Not a chance. At the worst we have an agreement in principle with Brighton for the summer. Would be almost amusing tbh. Last year KP gambled losing 100m in TV monies so as not to pay Rodgers 10m. In the end we did both! Now we could cash out on 30m when 100m is almost guaranteed 😂😂
  10. It does explain a slightly odd story post of him yesterday. It was a picture of himself with some kind of raging hothead emoji.
  11. Mate, if Luke goes on to carve out a career at a famous old club like Middlesbrough (or similar) it's a level of standard and achievement very very few of us would ever reach in any of our chosen careers. My lad - in his late teens - plays senior league level and works hard at it and I'm as proud af of that, let alone achieving Luke's level.
  12. As another poster says, how do you know he's not pounding the gym? Maybe he just hasn't got the physiology to gain muscle mass. Maybe he's just slow, no matter how many sprinting drills he does. I don't think he's a top level player. But the suggestion he's not put effort in is almost offensive.
  13. Wow. I expected to see lots of good luck messages. Leicester lad and I suspect this might be far nearer to his level and start to thrive. What I'd have given just to be an average championship / league one footballer!
  14. Added; despite the stick I've got on here as being part of a baying mob who doesn't understand mental illness, im afraid the naivety is on them, not my comments. The CPS could've gamed the system as the defence team did, but chose not to. He could've easily been charged with murder, put it to a jury and if found guilty, the prison services could have subjected him to a mental health order to wash their hands of him after sentencing. Worst case scenario, the jury find him not guilty of murder and agreed with a plea of manslaughter by diminished responsibility and we are where we are today.... and in that way, the families would feel less robbed of justice CPS are underfunded and lazy. They go for the lowest common denominator time and time again.
  15. It's a technical point but this fella is under the jurisdiction of the health service now, not the judicial system. If we use Peter Sutcliffe as an example, he was a prisoner who was referred to Broadmoor. He was eventually deemed no longer to be mentally ill and referred back to the prison service. This fella has evaded that.
  16. I get ya, but couldn't almost all murders be attributed to diminished responsibility? A jealous rage? Panic? Psychopathy? Narcissism?
  17. Doesn't wash for me. He knew what he was doing was wrong, no matter how many voices were in his head. Schizophrenia may have caused it, but doesn't excuse it.
  18. I think mine was three. He was absolutely fine. Wouldn't want it to be regular - it's a bit of a pain - but as a one off, it was a proud moment.
  19. Gotta feel for the families here. The system has shafted them. Deliberately befuddled by the CPS legal process into tolerating a.manslaughter charge, he effectively gets let off under the grounds of insanity. Yet was pretty.much proved in court he recognised the gravity if what he was doing and aware of the consequences. I'd suggest pretty much anyone who commits murder is under some cloud of temporary insanity - crimes of passion etc. So how comes he gets a free ride? No parole board, no minimum term. No longer under the judicial system, but health.
  20. I really don't take any moral high ground with these lads. They are under their own pressures and have their own upbringings, moral codes and values (or lack of). Danny Simpson. Wes. Vardy Jap incident. Palestine flags. And others elsewhere...Kyle Walker, Jack Grealish, Harry Maguire greece punch up, Madders copping off with random birds in Ibiza. I wasn't even bothered with Wayne Brown voting BNP - his business, his right etc. I think it's largely how we as individuals view players. As heroes or as humans
  21. I'm not condoning it pal. But I live in the real world...I can assure you many people drive after having had a couple of drinks and/or when they think they are borderline. Few drive when pissed, I grant you that. But pushing your luck is a basic human trait. But it's silly as in black (looking) lad driving a flash car at 1.15am is far more likely to get you pulled over. He was asking for trouble.
  22. I'm more concerned that the players all.live in Nottingham now. An unintended consequence of moving to seagrave!
  23. Unemotional about it. These lads are kids to me. Difficult to get too atsey about silly behaviour. Lots of high horse riding on here. Were those of you keen to slaughter Hamza so harsh on Wes, who did the same?
  24. I agree. I am totally comfortable - more than any other player we have - that the move / pass / feint / foot in he selects is the right one and one he'll execute. He's extraordinarily reliable
  25. It's a shocking stat. Even games where we've been cruising, Huddersfield / Rotherham / Millwall x 2 / Brum let alone the Ipswich, west Brom and Sheffield Wednesday debacles....we've looked nervous at the end. To me it's been obvious since very early on that opponents are happy to be losing by 1 or even 2 goals against us up until the last 15 and then they go for it. I'd do the same if I was them. I've banged on for a while that being better isn't good enough. You have to beat them too. Man City rarely have this problem, they keep going right until the end and almost always finish teams off.
