  1. This happened last season with all sorts on here celebrating putting their ticket up for resale 'in protest' , unable to see beyond a bonus 20 quid for a takeaway.
  2. The usual feeble excuses will pour out from the usual feeble suspects.
  3. The vast majority of posters here gleefully cheered the departures of Mike Stowell and Adam Sandler - real, decent LCFC people who understood the culture and had served us so well.. The fanbase don't do itself any favours.
  4. It's guesswork based on the evidence. Each big deal - or secured PL status - we've closed since Maguire and Mahrez we've raced to Macquirie for an advanced payment. Like a junkie to a dealer, who's just flogged a stolen Aldi toaster for a tenner. It just evidences to me that we have had problems with cold hard cash to pay bills for a long time. It pre dates Top.
  5. It's not a traditional loan. It's invoice finance. When the PL.pay 'us' next season's parachute money, they instead pay Macquirie direct..That's the deal. Same as KDH's next instalment from Chelsea. We've already been advanced it from Macquirie..So Chelsea pay it to Macquarie instead. Thats why the staff delayed wages and why we can't sack.Marti evidence that we haven't got any money left. At all. And we can't go to Macquarie and ask for an advance on 2027 money, as there isn't anything to advance.. Which means, the only logical remaining option is a fire sale this summer to raise (I'd guess) around 45m to keep us afloat and we'll quickly go to Macquarie with each transfer deal and get an injection of cash. If we fail to raise that money through transfers, then we are no longer able to function. The business is insolvent.
  6. Don't forget the 15000 or so bozo fans too
  7. We were always brilliant at Wembley. But league games, even then in the 90s, we were very changeable and largely pretty bland. Give us a bank holiday in Southend or Blackpool (Blackburn away) and the away ends were mental. Not singing, though, ever. Just boisterous. But an ordinary Saturday against Middlesbrough or Charlton, nah. We were much the same as we are now. A mixed bag of supporters club nerds, proper troublemakers and young lads on the beer.
  8. Insolvency by lack of cashflow. Unless we raise 50m or so in transfer fees this summer, we're cooked. We are no longer a going concern
  9. I tried - and failed - to flag our executive guests / boardroom guests and (lack of) sponsors a couple of weeks ago. We (Top) dont have any. Look at the contingent in the Watford section compared to ours. KP don't mingle, don't network, all the pitch side sponsors are syndicated EFL deals,.weird Thai/Shell betting or Forex stuff. They don't want anyone near their seedy money operation. He's a very strange, insular,.little man with appalling english language skills and - I'd hazard a guess - even worse social skills.
  10. Now is very similar to the Pleat years in that we had a few capable players - Newell, Gary Mac, Gary Mills, Steve Walsh, Tommy Wright, Ali Mauchlen - but regressed quickly and horribly to fielding clapped out old pros Martin Hodge, Terry Fenwick, Robbie James, Ricky Hill. We had no backbone then whatsoever, just like now. An opponent only had to show a modicum of aggression and we'd crumble. Yet, we could also be an unpredictable pain to teams at the top and bother to turn in a performance randomly. Those four years or so pre league one years were grotesque. I thought they'd never end. It seemed a lifetime. But as many have said, it's going to get much worse very quickly with KP. The well is dry. We'll be in adminstration and playing home games at the Ricoh inside 18 months. If not sooner.
  11. Mate. That's City fans all over. Win were good. Lose were rubbish. Score he's good. Miss he's rubbish. Football is more nuanced than that. Reid is a nice fella but almost entirely anonymous. Feeble. Wishy washy.
  12. Luke Thomas. Bob Reid. Ramsey left doing nothing on bench. Soul destroying.
  13. Not moaning about the individual staff. It's the club. As an entity.. The post lacked warmth, lacked familiarity. 'John' instead of 'Robbo,' for example. Unless it's some creepy crawling message 'his worshipfullness oh wise one, blessings be upon him' , the club lacks any empathy,. any understanding to its own culture.
  14. Because they aren't real football fans. In theatre terms, they like pantomime (or at best a West end show) - but can't understand Alan Bennett or Arthur Miller They know only you need more goals, that the opposition are all 'baddies' and the ref is always the villain.
  15. A man's man. A player's player. RIP Robbo.
  16. Yeah, this place is an echo chamber at times. Boxing Day was always an event where occasional supporters and/or extended family went as a bit of a holiday tradition. Regardless of league position. The PL years obvs narrowed that tradition down as only the weekly regulars could get a ticket. It'll be nigh on full. Boxing Day isn't a day for protest.
  17. One of my pet subjects this is. The city has gone. The third world has won that for themselves. The only saviour for what was once Leicester is for an alternative cultural and dining scene to emerge in the county. Not dissimilar to what happened in Cov years ago, whose 'scene' is in Leamington.
  18. Mate, I've shouted as loud as anyone on here since his debut that he's not up to it. And have had a couple of pleasant/respectful exchanges with his uncle who used to post here. But it's never personal. These comments about him enjoying a beer in Syston aren't any concern of this messageboard. If anything, I think that's quite healthy. And the fact he seems to live a modest life as if he were a young electrician doing well for himself is quite endearing He's just no good. And it seems from what you say, he knows it. The imposter syndrome must be crushing. Too many on here confuse the footballer with the person. Same goes for all these weird theories about Wout Faes' attitude and/or arrogance.
  19. I think if you took any reasonably fit 23 year old lad from senior league or even Sunday parks football and invested 7 years of elite coaching, conditioning plus just general exposure to other pros in training each day for those 7 years, then they'd be at least Luke Thomas level.
  20. Absolutely 100% my feelings too. Every time his name is on the team sheet, the energy, anticipation of the game is sucked out of me. And for me too, I won't go so long as he's in a matchday squad. I ain't paying to watch a player who's realistically no better at football than I was at his age. And I agree. He's the worst player to ever consistently play for us. Certainly 1981. I think he's possibly comparatively worse in his position than Ward. Ward at least had some professional qualities - cross collection and the ball at his feet. Whereas Thomas doesn't have anything apparent that's professional level - strength,.speed, skill, game intelligence,. positional play, touch.
  21. The tragedy for Wolves is they are nowhere near as bad as Derby were. But there's a real chance they could get close to the record. For those not old enough to remember, Derby man for man back then were pretty much like Derby man for man now. But in the premier.
  22. The fanbase is absolutely teeming with cucks - easily 13 thousand. The comment is not that much of a surprise
  23. It really wasn't. I enjoyed the mini run we just had, but this result was coming. We hadn't the shape or the work ethic or tactics to give us any hope. Playing the two slowest and weakest players in the league in Luke Thomas and Bob Reid, you will always be on a hiding to nothing. The cucks were all out in force about Reid - who i accept had taken his goals well of late - but apart from those little blips of light, had otherwise been his usual efeminite non existent self.
  24. In this day and age, you gotta use some tactics. It's a bold move from Ciufentes to go against the orthodoxy and not bother with any, but we have admit the experiment has failed
