It’s frankly staggering that he is still here. Actually, it’s staggering he is still playing football. He will end up retired before 30, once his contract is here he will likely get a move, but get quickly found out, never play and end up in none league.

Use this as an experiment as @Ric Flair has posted, we need to try something else…….

Hence why I’m always flapping on about them. And Brentford too… all have looked impressive on opening weekend. Everything about Jose clubs is utterly professional and competent…. We’re as well organised as a Sunday league team scratching for players at 10am.

Hamza did look better than Skipp in all fairness. Thing is, Hamza is a twat for all the wrong reasons, his off the field antics have really let him down, badly. But he is a player who’s built for league 1 and 2…. He’s physical, robust and gets stuck in. Had glaring limitations but doesn’t every player at this level. But he’s likely not get bullied and will dish out his fair share of robust tackles…. I think it would be wise to just try him in that holding role, and see how we get on…..

We’re not hostile though are we? A smattering of Boo’s at full time is nothing in comparison to what other clubs have done to rid their club of its owners…. Was it Charlton, who carried a coffin to a game? Norwich has large protests outside of the ground at full time, Reading stormed the pitch….. there’s ben far worse than a smattering of boo’s and tutting elders.

We play with no conviction. There’s no meaning to the way we play, and no clear method or end goal. Martin has been employed to play in a certain way, but there’s multiple factors hindering this. 1. Culture - the culture within the club is still rotten… we’ve still got Skipp, Okoli and Souttar (I know he hasn’t really played but still)…. And not forgetting Thomas. This culture is leading to players not caring….. not putting in the effort, not wanting to fight for the shirt…. Skipp has been ****ing atrocious, just ambling around the pitch, as has Souttar who clearly doesn’t care and Okoli who saunters around with no substance to him at all… this culture needs exercising out of the club, and the only manager who can do this is a strong willed manager, who will go against the grain and won’t care about upsetting people, and will remove those from the group responsible of allowing this culture to continue. 2. Naturally the ownership, this is the major Achilles heel now, they’ve publicly displayed their desire to no longer be in charge, they’re “actively” selling the club…. So there’s no more future planning or desire to improve us…. We’re essentially floating into nothing, we’re drifting with no purpose or vision of where we want to go, the club is completely fractured from top to bottom, and if things remain as they are, we will go into administration, and we will end up folding. King Power have no desire to save the club, they won’t invest any money into it, and if they can’t sell it, we will simply drift into administration and end up in league two. Someone will buy us, but the whole club will essentially be reset, we will essentially be a different club, but I will take it if it means we get our club back, our identity back, and there’s a vision for genuine hope for the future. But this needs to happen. In the short term we need the right man for the job, this squad is not hat bad, if you remove those who clearly don’t want to be here, even if it means playing vastly inexperienced players and even out of position… but Martin isn’t this man, he never was, he was a lazy appointment because he was free, guaranteed to take the job at the right price, and they know home likes to play football…… but they were in denial, ignoring the fact he’s got lots of red flags, and has proven time and time again under pressure he isn’t any good…. He had an excellent team at Southampton and probably under achieved in all honesty at championship level, but never stood a chance at PL level. He a manager who’s essentially broken and desperate to prove himself but won’t deviate from his philosophy to do so…… Unfortunately this is all going one way, any optimism in my opinion is blind, my friends and I, who all gave up our season tickets after 29 years of having them, all think and feel the same, people might want to criticise saying we’re not “proper fans”…. But sticking through good times and bad, is contextual…. Where we are now is unacceptable, having the best part of half a billion quid come through the club in a decade (more than any club at this level has ever had come through their club in their existence), just makes it even worse…… the sheer negligence displayed is unacceptable, even in the face of a tragic family loss, the negligence displayed is unforgivable….. to be beaten by Burton Albion at home sets new lows, and is just the latest “wake up call” in a long line of wake up calls…… How many more “wake up calls”, do we need? The club is spiralling towards the ultimate disaster, and you’ve still got people like Graham Brock saying “we’ve been in administration before, so we will be fine again”…… I would have thought it’s time to properly rally, forget the Tifo’s and “back the lads” fight for the existence of your club, because as things stand, we won’t have one to follow if nothing changes. In short, bring Big Nige back….

He’s a clever lad, went to Repton and is very switched on by all accounts. I still think he is quality, he needs to play and he will get better……. He’s certainly worth persisting over Thomas.

The one after winning the PL. scandalously wasted a best opportunity we ever had to strengthen beyond our wildest dreams. Instead signed Ahmed ****ing Musa.

Is this a wind up? Utterly dreadful take on the situation. This group of players have repeatedly failed the fans, they frankly don’t deserve support…. And beating Burton Albion should be a formality, but such is the toxic culture that’s ben allowed to fester at the club (thanks to king power), and that has resulted in what we’re seeing, the players are a reflection of the ownership, not the fans….. clapping them is purely burying for head in the sand and refusing to accept the truth.

Sat in our lowest ever position, and yet, there’s still no uprising? Tifo’s, clapping and bling optimism, none of this will save the club when it’s on the brink of death. Plenty of long term loyal fans fave up their ST this year because presumably they had, had enough, and saw the writing on the wall….. at the end of the day, there’s no recovery under King Power, and our only hope is… 1. we get bought out, quickly before shit properly hits the fan. 2. when we enter administration someone decent buys us…… but we will be beyond rock bottom. Facts are, things are going to get worse, I’ve seen someone say recently “we will win the league and no one can convince me otherwise”…. Well, there’s zero evidence to back this up, however, there’s plenty of evidence to suggest we’re heading for bust. The commitment for the future has gone, Top and king power have interest in further investment, so we’re just going to drift into the darkness, and pray a miracle happens before we go under. We’re getting relegated at things stand, Martin is a disaster, he will continue to fail until he is eventually sacked far too late, we will be in exactly the same position as we were last season, pissing around with no manager further tumbling into disarray…. Either way, this is going to be the worst season in this clubs history, promotion isn’t something we need to worry about, what we need to worry about is even having a team to support……

I was at a gathering today, fans of various clubs, and you know things aren’t good when they’re not taking the piss, they were genuinely shocked when they heard the score, and empathetic…… things are as worse as they’ve ever been, and they’re going to get worse.

And this is it. Anyone who holds any hope, it’s blind and misguided…… This club is on the edge of a catastrophic disaster. We either need a quick sale or just hope administration can yield a good owner. Either way, this club is heading one way, the rot is now a terminal infection, and nothing will change until there’s a change of ownership. Tops lost interest, and the whole club is on its arse… they’ve just assumed we will go up if we appoint Martin. And it’s going to hideously backfire.. A complete lack of planning and forward thinking…

We are all well aware that there’s deeper problems, but you have to give yourself a chance by getting the manager right. Martin was never the right choice, he never will be. Eventually he will be sacked, but we can’t let it get worse than this….. get rid tonight.
