This is a dreadful situation. The lads an absolute belter, it’s like watching the woman you’ve lusted after for years on the arm of a chap who’s got the lot, and you know that you will never have a chance, you had a fling back on you teen years, but an inability to stay grounded meant the situation passed you buy. His problem is his attitude. He thinks he is better than the club and he plays like it. If that’s how you view yourself then you are destined to be shite. He has the ability, but lacks the mentality. I’d drop him for players who actually want to play. He seems to play every hame at a casual pace and ends up getting caught out.

Agree with most of this post, apart from I actually don’t think Villa were better. We looked far better with our best attacking players on the pitch, and I think had we started like this we would have got something out of the game. We were a bit too passive in the first half and mistakes led to goals. I think we ultimately lost the game ourselves, however this is kind of a good sign, it means we’re competing against very good teams and holding our own, whilst being slightly disappointed. It’s clearly a good sign that there hope we can get this to click and have a good season!

I agree. This is actually a decent team, and I properly realised this when we stood up and matched a champions league side even with all of the attacking talent on the bench. Cooper needs to like you say believe in this and take hand brake off. The blokes worked with some of the best talent this country has served up in recent years during his England tenure, so surely he’s got some ounce of tactical ability……. I can stand to watch another manager mismanage a group of decent players and we needlessly end up being relegated again…. Cooper needs to quickly realise this over the break, stop pussy footing around and trust the squad.

There’s potential for this team to be exciting. You can see this, but Cooper is just getting his balance wrong. His ideas are good, but his execution poor. There’s a week to sort it, but I really think if we lose to palace he’s got to go, and be replaced with Moyes (if he wants it). The teams capable of staying up, we can’t waste the opportunity to do so, otherwise we will go down, and it will be ****ing hell on earth because the EFL will fetch our pants down like never before.

I had to sit elsewhere yesterday due to taking a mate, was sat near the away fans. And I honestly couldn’t hear the kop at all, not a peep all game. As we weren’t far from the Villa fans that’s all I could hear for the 90 minutes. I’m normally sat in SK2 which can be lively when it wants, where I was yesterday everyone was just miserable, and started leaving after Villa’s second goal. There’s a horrible malaise which has set through the whole club, there were plenty of people who appeared just not to give a shit at all, say in silence all day and then cleared off early. Club seems to be properly in the pits.

How dreadful…… very sad. What an utterly terrible month or so it has been.

This team on paper is decent. I’d say with proper management a comfortable 15th to 12th. But I just fear Cooper is suffering the same problems he had at Forest. He is incapable of getting the balance right between attack and defence. I just don’t want us to sit on a mistake for too long, and then it cost us. Cooper has a big break coming up. The talent is there for him to tap into, he just needs to get his tactics right.

I think we need to play a back three in all honesty with Coady in there with Vesty and Okoli. **** Faes off.

I actually think Palace are in trouble. They’ve sold their best players, and signed Nketiah who’s Bob. They will be down there definitely in my opinion.

Starting to get to the stage where I can’t stand to mention his name. Problem I have, is I’m convinced he won’t last the season, so we’re going to prolong the inevitable… whereas there were some steady improvements today, his decisions in my opinions have cost us the chance to get two points on the board. He has the international break to sort his formation out, lose to Palace and I’m calling for his head.
