  1. GTF is a good lad! Good listen as always lads!
  2. Speaks volumes about the type of partnerships they’re cutting deals with. Top really is a clueless, out of touch ****ing idiot.
  3. Jake raised a good point on the BSLB pod. We’ve seen a lot of people say “back the lads support the team” to then precede to sit in a placid atmosphere, and **** off at 0-2? Why is that?
  4. And people still can’t grasp why this situation could spell the end of the club? There’s your answer.
  5. You need to put this on the BSLB pod 😂 @Ric Flair
  6. Problem for me is, I don’t see enough fight or enough effort. There’s been an increase from some, but not everyone. I just feel the general mood and atmosphere around the club is that we’re finished but no one dare say it. I felt very much like that was the towel going in on Saturday……
  7. It’s okay, we promote best season.
  8. It will be a blood bath…. The weekend was the team throwing the towel in, expect exactly the same but against a better side. Easily be 5 or 6-0.
  9. The same players we’ve been struggling to sell off for the best part of 4 years? All of sudden we will? And if we do, it will be on the cheap, so we will be getting reduced fees for them. We can’t just release players under contract, unless they mutually agree to terminate their contracts without receiving a payout…… Selling off land again won’t really help, selling Belvoir Drive will be small fry…. We would likely have to sell off assets anyway just to function, but it’s also highly likely we will enter a transfer embargo, where all we can do is sell and not sign, until they’ve reduced the wage bill significantly, and then that will leave us with a Squad of academy players. It was said recently the club loses £40m as a standard before a season starts on just the every day running of the club… the sheer financial drop would be like nothing ever seen before in English football….. if clubs like Derby nearly went bust, what chance do we have? When our natural wastage likely surpasses the value of their club?
  10. Sunderland’s situation isn’t a fraction of we have going on here. No club has ever entered league one with the obscene overheads we have. The amount of work we would need to do to reduce those overheads isn’t possible…. We’re still financially operating like a top half premier league club…. Our situation financially is completely unique, we’ve likely breached FFP again, and we will automatically breach next season on league one. There’s no recovery from relegation, we will end up in administration.
  11. Another league one thread, yay.
  12. Absolutely, and once you’ve used up all of your dumb luck, and you’re left to your own devices, is when things start to go horribly wrong.
  13. 100% spot on!
  14. I think our biggest issue, is we’re losing £40m a year without even doing anything….. we’re literally pissing money away.
  15. We need to really stop fantasising of a resurgence at league one level…. The sooner some fans come to realise that nothing good will come of relegation…… apart from potential new owners……
  16. This is bollocks…… Fatawu has been awful, we will be lucky to get £20m for him, and Monga? Seriously? You think those two will generate £50m? We do not have £50m worth of players to sell. A relegation will mean we won’t be allowed to negotiate and we will have to accept bids regardless. It’s likely we will be placed under a transfer embargo, so we will have little choice but to just sell players for whatever to get them off the wage bill and out of the club. Again, another example of not quite grasping the situation…..
  17. In terms of, I don’t think the EFL like you said would want up to cease to exist. Perhaps the remedy is to drop to league 2 and start again, completely fresh. The only issue is, we’re falling from a much greater height than any club before us….. Derby nearly went bust, and they’ve not got anywhere near the financial output we have…. I’d say we lose more in natural wastage yearly than Derby are worth as a club. So, I just can’t see a scenario where we survive this…… our only hope is administration, new ownership, potential relegation to league 2 and a complete overhaul. Stripping the club right back to basics.
  18. Which is why we are ****ed.
  19. I agree. From what I’ve heard the EFL are now genuinely concerned about us, so I don’t think they would accept a “phoenix” club scenario…. So I imagine it could be a similar scenario to Rangers, where we go into the none league pyramid and have to work our way back up. The situation is so dire, that as you say, if someone said to me, that we would go down, go into administration, and end up in nine league but with new ownership and our Leicester city, I’d take it….. because I think that’s the scenario we’re in.
  20. And this is it. We will have to sell any saleable assets players and facilities to just keep the club functioning. At the end of the season the EFL will likely put us into an embargo, because I think it’s likely we’ve breached again, and when it looks like we’re gone, we will be heading to breach league 1’s FFP regulations, so will likely enter next season with an embargo, potentially points deductions, and the clubs outgoings will end up being worth more than the club itself. So we will have to start selling assets just to make ends meet, we probably won’t have much of a squad to put out, made up of whatever is left of this squad and academy players….. then comes the redundancies, failing to pay staff and bills and ultimately administrators coming in. Make no bones about it, relegation will spell the end of this club. The only potential hope is that administration leads to new ownership, which I think we will have plenty of suitors as we would be a bargain, and potentially good story for a “turn around”….. but that’s literally the only glamour of hope we have.
  21. Mate, we’re relegated, with got a bunch of players on loan, a bunch of players out of contract, who don’t give a shit (bar James probably), and the ones who do try are shit. So unfortunately it’s all over. Yesterday was like when Wimbledon came to the old walkers back in 2003 I think it was…. They were just done as a team and as a club…. Yesterday felt like that. We looked done, in every sense of the word.
  22. We will go bust before we’re back. If we come back at all.
  23. It doesn’t matter if a new consortium was worse…. The facts remain this mess is, an always will be king powers fault. Top is amongst Europe’s worst owners…. So how can it get worse? It probably could, he could sell the club to an unfit owner, but ultimately it will always be his fault, even if we folded under new ownership, because it was under his watch that it went wrong. So anyone has a free pass. Like Gary Rowett, when we’ve go down it won’t be his fault, he’s in an impossible situation, it will be Top and Rudkins fault. You can’t go through like trading on egg shells, just because it might not be better…. It might not be, but the clubs ****ed, if King Power remain, within a year we will cease operating. The situation is quite simply that.
  24. We won’t win anther game. This team is done. In the words of Tom Petty, “Free Fallin”.
