  1. It’s why I’m taking it so hard….. wouldn’t mind of we hadn’t had a shred of the success we’ve had over the last ten years, because where would the evidence be to warrant such expectations? Because of everything we did achieve it gave us an opportunity no club has ever had before to build, and we’ve screwed it up, through incompetence. Which is why I’m so pissed off with everything at the moment.
  2. I’m still boycotting regardless. One win against a shit Derby doesn’t change anything…… Still the same shit show it was before that game.
  3. Ah I see, I wasn’t livid no….. because we were competing and we were playing some exceptional football. That was a case of the £100m spent by those “big teams” paid off when it needed too, Chelsea for example could throw on someone who probably wasn’t living up to their value, but could produce one or two moments when it mattered to get them over the line, whereas we have 13/14 very strong players, and then the rest were good squad fillers, so there would naturally be an opportunity to slip, plus injuries made it difficult for us. So I was quite happy with where we were. I’d take finishing 17th in the premier league constantly over this….. the PL maybe corrupt and somewhat overhyped….. but by god it’s a damn site better than this…. Theres nothing remotely nice or pleasurable watching your team struggle against the likes of Preston…. But for me I will maintain until the cows come home, we shouldn’t even be here… we’ve been out here thanks to our useless and incompetent leadership.
  4. It’s a good thought, my only question would be why is our build up play so slow? Either the players just aren’t hitting the levels Marti wants, or they’re not getting it / buying into it? It’s the biggest conundrum for me, and it’s likely we’re going to lose Abdul for a reduced value in January because of it…. But it’s one of my biggest pet hates in football, I used to get frustrated with Barnes sometimes, but when you see him at Newcastle you can see how devastating he can be when the momentum of the game is in his favour. Wingers are a special breed, and we’ve got two opposites, Mavididi is more of a Mahrez I would say as in he quite likes the pace of the game slower as he will try a trick to beat a man, and Abdul if more of a Barnes, fast twitch explosive player…. So I can imagine that it’s a conundrum for any manager to balance that, but, we have done previously under Enzo. This is what makes me think Martin just isn’t deploying them properly. Both have been devastating at this level, but currently Mavididi is a million miles away from where he needs to be….. Potentially Marti is actually a good tactician, but is he a good ma manager? Probably not….. Thats a good point RE QPR, and we see it here, he favours some odd players, I mean Hamza at right back? When you’ve Aluko who’s an actual right back, he won’t trust him, yet he will trust Silko Thomas? It just doesn’t make any sense…. And this is where the lacking in on field leaders really hurts us, no one takes the game by the scruff of the neck and dominates it…… we have a lot of shrinking violets on this team…. If we can make any moves in January, besides a striker I think we need to bring in a senior pro, someone who understands this league and is a proper captain.
  5. Don’t be stupid. What kind of question is this? 5th In the PL or mid table in this god awful league? What would you rather do? A kick in the nuts or winning the lottery?
  6. Couldn’t agree more, spot on!
  7. I completely agree with you. Rather than placing emphasis on the wingers, like you say he relies on them. There’s an uncertainty to what he wants them to do. Like you say this then places all the pressure on them to produce, and you get performances like we’ve been getting from Mav and Fatawu…. James seems to be able to deal with this pressure though but he’s very good at generating his own momentum. The other problem is that we don’t play with any pace, so that really limits how impactful your wingers are. You’re not wrong about how open we are, and it’s largely down to this “style” he is deploying, you move up the pitch as slowly as we do, and then rely on a central box to box player to be your main threat through the middle of he pitch, it leaves gaping holes…. And that is why it’s frustrating Marti won’t at least try something a bit different. He limits himself because of his philosophy. I agree with you when you say we lack leaders, we do, but where you lack leaders this is when your manager/coach has to step up, he has to inspire them. As Enzo did when he was here, the right character can make the most average player play out of their skin, we’ve see it time and time again throughout the history of the game but I appreciate that requires actually finding this manager! A lot of what I believe anyway is fruitless, I think it’s been agreed for us to succeed now we would need an exceptional manager to come in. Which isn’t going to happen in this current situation.
  8. I don’t disagree with you, and I do think you sum it up well. I’d just caveat this by saying I do think he ignores the limited strengths we do have in the team. It would take a very minor adjustment to the tactics, you’re still going to rely on James to do what he is doing, and you’re going to look to lean on breaking in the transition with Mavididi and Abdul, and potentially Page or whomever takes up that ten role. It’s this particular tactic that I personally believe Marti is choosing not to deploy
  9. I do disagree to some extent. Now the likes of Winks and Faes have been removed, the effort levels and commitment within the side has improved, somewhat. What Marti is getting wrong, is the deployment of his tactics. It’s clear his desire is to play a possession based brand of football. But, he doesn’t have the personnel to do that. We see this especially in the goal kicks and when we have possession with the defence. We don’t have a player or at least don’t use a player to dropping the DM pocket and recycle the ball, well we do, it’s Winks but he’s a tosser, but that’s what he did perfectly, drop into the hole, collect the ball move it on quickly, get out of the hole and open up the pitch for an attack….. however, the rest of the team don’t support this, when Winks first came back in after his first hissy fit, he looked good for the first few games, however, we saw how the rest of the team don’t support this style….. he was often receiving the ball in these deep pockets and fighting to retain possession because the movement around him wasn’t there. So, it was evident that this particular style wasn’t working…… and you can’t play possession based football without that player, otherwise it becomes walking football, and you’ll either have to focus of defending, or attacking, rarely both. You can see we lose control of games in the last half an hour, yesterday Derby saw pretty much the entire football in the last half an hour, we were struggling to even slow the pace of the game down, and if it wasn’t for Derby being shite they could have got an equaliser. You don’t need the best players to do well at this level, naturally it helps, but you can achieve with average players. What you need is a clear structured plan, be solid and play to your strengths…. I’d argue we do none of those things….. we’ve got plenty of pace with James, Mavididi and Fatawu, yet when do we see it? Other than when James decides to break the press with a run. Instead Marti tries to play on his way, which is garbage, and it’s strangling us…. How many times have we seen Mavididi and Fatawu receive the ball at walking pace? If we because more of a transitional team, is argue we would see some better results and better performances. Yes I agree there are lots of variables that make a successful team, and we’re definitely lacking some of those variables, but, there’s enough ability in this team to play in a more direct attacking way, not fixing about with goal kicks and inevitably giving the ball away heaping pressure on ourselves. And this is where I believe Marti falls down, he’s relentlessly focused on his ideology, even if it doesn’t suit the team.
  10. I’d still argue no, purely because regardless of this squads shortcomings it shouldn’t be where it is, we’ve seen no improvement during his time here, but we've seen regression, there’s no real evidence of a plan, and there’s no elements of an obvious style. We either get battered, or cling on to games for dear life, often against extremely poor opponents. I personally think the team is being mismanaged, being asked to play in a way it isn’t currently comfortable with, and the strengths within the team aren’t being focused on. I think even with this group, Marti is underachieving. My expectation is at the very least this group secured a play off spot, even in the current condition it finds itself in, because, as many managers have proven down the years, even in the most adverse situations you can get a tune out of their squad. So, even with a points deduction “provided it was so stupid it would put us into negative points) I would expect us to survive.
  11. This is a terrible excuse….. Basic coaching skills and team management…… Theres players on this team regardless of how “paper thin” it is that have operated at a higher level than this…. They should never be 4-0 down to QPR at HT, never. As fragile as this group is, they’re individually not this bad. Marti isn’t a good coach, he isn’t a good manager….. it’s why we keep getting smashed on the fist halves of football against any team with good press….. it’s not a personnel issue, it’s a coaching and tactical problem.
  12. Anything other than promotion for us is a massive failure, regardless of our current state. So yes, he would have failed, but he in term would have been failed by the board. So in essence the whole operation would have failed!
  13. I would if there was something to cling onto, but there’s not. Unfortunately I’m not comfortable with the unnecessary demise of my football club…. It’s something I’ll hold against Top for the rest of his days, and I won’t start to enjoy my football club again until he is long gone. I do enjoy us beating Derby, but unfortunately the way I view it, is we shouldn’t even be playing Derby unless it’s friendly or a cup. We shouldn’t below Coventry in the league……. Everything that we’re witnessing on the pitch, in the stands behind the scenes is unnecessary, and it’s self inflicted of the careless people we have running sorry ruining this football club. So all of that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, and I just can’t enjoy days like yesterday knowing another unnecessary disappointment is around the corner.
  14. It was another one we got away with. Mainly because Derby are shit. But we’ve got to be realistic now, those choosing to praise him, but it’s the final days of 2025, and there’s been zero improvement over the second part of the year. There’s no evidence of a style of play, there’s zero flexibility in his plan, there seems not to be a plan. His subs are generally poorly times and not thought out properly. We’re so susceptible to being pressed and turns over that it’s becoming a real blueprint for teams to beat us (as we will see on NYD)…. I just don’t like him, don’t rate him as a manager, we’re poorly coached and poorly set up. His tenure here won’t be remembered fondly after he’s finally booted…. Which I now think won’t be until the summer depending on if we manage to stay up…. But he’s not he man to take us forward.
  15. Comfortable defeat. 4-0 or something. The KPFC lot will be creaming themselves after yesterday, but let’s be about right, Derby are ****ing garbage, and it’s normal business for us to get hammered after a decent win.
  16. I’ll admit, he was okay when he came on. Looked okay through the middle.
  17. Page was the most composed player on the pitch when he came on. He looked like he did in pre season again.
  18. He was really, really poor last night…. There was a moment late on where Monga was completely free on the left, and the pass was on to play him in, yet mav decided to fumble his way through the Derby defenders and then shoot…. Completely waste. This team is so badly coached it’s painful.
  19. Anyone see that idiot Phil “editor of Leicester fan TV” or whatever the **** that means? “Sorry but I personally do not agree with this, I do not want king power out, I DO want to see some improvements at board level but I hope top and king power stick around to sort it. These fans do not speak for me… This right here is the utter delusion that is allowing Top to get away with it, your free filbert and mince pie brigade. ****wit, is the word the describe him.
  20. Derby are REALLY shit.
  21. Just makes me laugh, we can be as shit as possible, and Derby still can’t ****ing beat us……..
  22. Horrible performance, feels like a defeat and we’ve won, that’s how bad it was. We’re dull as ****, and if it’s not for James and Bobby, we wouldn’t be scoring goals either. Won the game because Derby are even shitter than we are.
  23. If I was Top or Rudkin I’d be demanding and answer for shunning Monga and using Thomas…… what the actual ****, this is getting beyond a sick joke now.
  24. Silko ****ing Thomas again……
