Those are early bird offers. They're not "dynamic pricing" as ticketmaster do. Early bird offers are clear and state "buy before X date for X price. Anything after is Y price". The customer is aware of everything in place. Dynamic pricing, as used by ticketmaster, is about manipulation and changing the price you signed up for at the checkout.

I suppose the problem with limits and the nasty psychology of "dynamic pricing" is if you took two people. Person A is told 2 days ahead of sale date that tickets will be £300. They have a clear head with which to make a decision to buy or walk away. Person B is told 2 days ahead of sale date that tickets will be £120. They queue for hours, building up excitement but also fear that the longer they wait, the fewer tickets there are. After 4 hours of waiting, they are told the tickets left are £300. They are not in the same mindset and can feel pressured to just pay. I used to know a psychologist who worked for a betting company and all these big firms will absolutely have done testing to work out what is the maximum they can extract. This includes manipulation, which is what dynamic pricing is.

No. The veil of false dislike between them has long since gone, so just crack on with the show. Alex's character is quite annoying these days.

I did the maths and I could get about 10 games of my local non league for the cost of ticket+travel+membership of 1 City game this year. Or 4 games of my local League One side.

Considering Copenhagen for a few days in October half term, as you can also get a direct train over to Malmo. Anyone been?
-
Had missed that. Good news.

So they're gonna twiddle their thumbs for a season? Absolute worst they can do is use them together in the cups. Even if it's only 3 games then give them a couple of league fixtures.

Cooper won't get dropped. They've stumped up for the contract. The other thing that slightly bothers me is the board have now had a relegation and bounce back. That may actually make them more arrogant that when we go down again we come straight back up and I really don't think they appreciate last season.

This one gets me. I was at the game last season where he appeared and he had the same type of cancer that unexpectedly took my dad this time last year. What thoroughly unpleasant news to wake up to.

Posted my PB park run today - 25:37. The weather was so glorious out that I went and did a slow 10k in the sun. Eyeing up 2-4 halfs before Feb and then a marathon next year. -
On what planet does Chelsea getting Sancho make sense?

Have we done any odds-on to score goals jokes yet? -
I'm in a tricky position. I have solar panels on my current house and my DD is down to £55 pcm. But I'm buying a new place and moving probably October. I'll have around £400 credit and don't know whether to just stick with that through winter, stay with Octopus and ride it out or try and lock in for a year?

No, it's the fans who are wrong

I do parkrun Heaton Park sometimes. I can't even imagine that will go ahead during the Oasis gigs. I remember my early stint as a music journo coincided with the very tail end of their first run. They put out a best of album around 2008/09 and it's amazing how little people under the age of 22 cared. There was one lad at uni who loved all that Britpop stuff, even had the haircut and everyone just thought he was weird. I saw Blur about a decade ago for their reunion in Barcelona and it was a fantastic set but the crowd was definitely older. As others have pointed out, this won't be full of Oasis fans but rather idiots just trying to be there. I think I'll stick to gigs where you can stage dive and elbow people in the face. You don't tend to get people with phones out at those.

Gutted but a life well lived and seeing what he did with the time he knew he had, defo made the most of it. Forever a hero in England.

Jordan Ayew (interest confirmed by Percy)
fox_up_north replied to iancognito's topic in Transfer Talk
This one is genuinely baffling. Ayew had Saudi league written all over him and yet here we are. I had a look at his total stats in the Prem and they're not absolutely horrific but it averages out to 6.5 goals per season and around 4 assists. On paper, it's not the worst we could do but it's such an unnecessary transfer and poor value for money. -
Excellent. Now get rid of the rest. Read he was on £100k a year just for MOTD. Obscene. Just show highlights of the fuching games and let me work out my own analysis.

So, that does give options to immediately recycle the ball backwards? I'm no fan of constant Brendan sideways passing but if it opens up space, I don't mind having Faes/ Vesty collect it if 1-2 other players are making forward runs.

There's a race that's 8 hours and see how many 5k loops you can do in that time. I figure keeping it steady 30 mins each for the first few hours, then allowing for fatigue it drops down to 36, I could probably do about 16. Really, I don't need to do it now as I know how much I'd achieve and I trust my own judgement. -
Is it fair to assume the press comes from the direction Ndidi faces, most of the time? If so, a safe back pass to a defender, then to a Ricardo/ Justin/ Kristiansen to stretch play and provide breathing room? In my head, I'm trying to just create safe spaces to move oppo players around and allow some channels for off ball movement.
-
Is it possible that- personnel permitting - Ndidi can be used as a lure to draw players in. Spurs were pressing him more than others. If (big if) there are 1-2 players around he can release to, early, could that be a way to mitigate it?
