Exactly, they are on now which is great, but even just an extra 10-15 minutes of game time is huge for prospects coming through, both in their development but also in showing that there is a route for progression. Right now I don't see why any youngster would be motivated to join/stay with us. We are terrible at loaning them out and getting them game time, we never seem to give opportunities in the first team, and the club socials can't even be arsed to acknowledge the existence of the u21/u18 sides most weeks

It's Tranmere at home, acting like it is an exciting and positive result shows how far expectations have fallen. There is absolutely no excuse to not have 2-3 youngsters in the lineup for a game like this. There will not be a better opportunity all season than our opening League Cup game against a League 2 side.

2-0 up at home against a League 2 side with 30 minutes left, literally the perfect situation to bring on Alves and Popov, instead we bring on another defensive midfielder, this is going to be such a depressing season that I would just love any opportunity to have something positive and exciting to enjoy

I wasn't quite as negative as most about Cooper coming in, big part of that was that I had the idea he would incorporate youth more with his background in the England youth setup Turns out that was complete fiction and I was way off

Is anyone that thinks we will stay up in the market for a bridge? Have one I can sell you

We are absolutely finishing bottom even without a points deduction

I feel like this with so many Championship/League 1 players that we just don't seem to go for Watkins, Eze, Olise, Bowen Then this season Ronnie Edwards, Jacob Greaves I will be astonished if Okoli ends up a better signing than either of those

I don't think Griezemann is world class but to say he has never had a good tournament for France is wild At the 2018 World Cup he had 4 goals 4 assists in 7 games, he scored in the RO16, Quarter Final and Final, assisted in the Quarter Final, Semi Final and Final. He was second behind Kane for the golden boot and had the most assists in the tournament.

I just don't understand how 3 years even makes it into the discussion, the second his agent suggested anything longer than 1 year security should have been called to remove him from the premises

I think we need to be lowering our expectations a bit, he's absolutely not going to walk away from Champions League football to be part of a relegation dogfight

Romano tweeted this morning that it has been officially triggered, so hopefully that's accurate

One of my absolute sporting heroes, my first game was in the 03/04 season so too young to catch the success at the tail end of the 90s. Andy King was my favourite ever player and even with the club legends of recent years it is hard for me to elevate anyone higher than King in terms of my love for them. Such a technically gifted player, scored so many incredible goals in a variety of ways and someone who was always destined to make it to the Premier League, even in my dreams I wasn't completely convinced it would be with us. If I ever have kids then they will hear plenty about the likes of Vardy, Schmeichel and Morgan anyway, but I will make sure to tell them all about Andy King too.

He could shit on my face and it would be less disgusting than this drivel we are being subjected to on a weekly basis at the moment

Enzo Out? Time for an official thread/poll

He can **** off, his management style is basically me on football manager when I'm not paying attention and just keep hitting spacebar to advance, then it gets to game time, I start the second half and then go to the bathroom whilst forgetting to pause and come back to find we lost He literally does nothing to try and increase our chances of winning, we either take the lead or we are ****ed because the useless incompetent clown sure as shit isn't going to do anything to change a game in our favour -
If Maresca had even the slightest shred of competency then Daka would not spend another second on the pitch this season So I can't wait for him to be starting next game
-
Send the clown packing back to the Italian 3rd division or something, clearly not cut out to be a manager at this level

Going to be the first team to finish on minus points if we do go up -
To be fair it went nowhere before this either
-
And it's barely "new" faces, it's just the exact same changes every time, and whoever he changes he just subs them back on later in the game anyway He is absolutely terrified to try anything even remotely creative to try and change games
-
Honestly at this point, even if we do go up I would be happy to see the back of Maresca I was completely on board with him building a side that plays his style and drilling them in it, but teams figured it out and he doesn't even attempt to find a plan B, it's just the exact same every game, his in game management is absolutely dreadful too
