Wrexham 1-1 LCFC, post-match thread
OntarioFox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Came to the realisation at Cov away that I'm pretty done with away days, for this season at least. Was supposed to be going tonight as it's close by me up here in Scouseland, but a night shift means I dodged the bullet. We really do have some vile people travel to "back the lads", if you can call it that. Apparently, slapping "stop the boats" stickers everywhere, calling people paedos and - as it turns out tonight - being openly racist is what support means. It's a pretty horrible environment, not worth the effort and money at this point. Derby was fun, but that's the only one I can pinpoint in the past three years that I've actually enjoyed. -
it would be the most Rudkin thing ever to sign him and have the news come out the day after that he's banned for the rest of the season gerrimin

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
OntarioFox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Him failing to slide Abdul through for an easy finish and going for glory in the first half summed the greedy bastard up. Well, WELL within his line of vision, he just didn't want to do the right thing for the sake of personal glory I actually laughed and cheered when Stephy did it back to him in the second half. When I'm at the point of such pettiness I think it's safe to say my patience with a player has run out. -
His puffer-jacket soaked up enough water tonight to keep Swithland Reservoir topped up through any drought this coming summer.

The ref calling time 15 seconds early, when two of the five minutes had been taken up resetting after Jannik's goal... very kind of him really. Stopped us getting a completely undeserved winner, stopped them getting a probably deserved one of their own. Pure Zen. -
I always thought Judy Dench looked a bit like Richie Wellens

yep called it - it's a hate watch at this point

This is another game where we're making crap decisions in the final third and looking toothless as a result. Everyone looks lazy - Wrexham lack quality but have more desire. I hope I'm wrong but it stinks of them nicking it 1-0.

Commentator's doing my tits calling him Caleb Ockerley. Sounds like a bloody choir boy from up on't Moor.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

I just realised we're six months from a dream scenario of Ayew and Daka both pissing off for good, and us being forced to find someone else or give Evans a chance. You just know the morons in the boardroom are going to offer one or both of them an extension rather than do some actual f***ing legwork to find a new player, though. -
I'm never going to get over Fulham getting Emile Smith Rowe for more or less the same money. Skipp's one of our better players now for the record, but that doesn't change the fact. Christ, we're such a basket case.

I'd actually scrubbed Bilal out of my memory, forgot he's even still on our books If we're being technical, he was also given a crock (Ramsey) and a pensioner (Begovic) to work with. And we tried REALLY, REALLY HARD to also give him a car crash survivor and wasted half of January trying to make that happen before we just got REALLY unlucky with him turning out to actually be beyond repair - some credit to Rudkin where it's due, eh?

I feel like we'd be in exactly the same middling, shitty position we are now under Cooper - the description you've given is literally where we find ourselves, we've been bailed out by individual moments and other sides being unable to finish their dinner. There hasn't been a single 90 minute performance - Derby and Swansea were the closest and they were 60 minute performances at best. We're completely humbled the rest of the time by teams that are "on-paper" of lower ability but outfight us and do the simple things way better. As hideously out of his depth as he was tactically, Ruud gets the one sliver of credit in that he didn't get an ounce of backing in the transfer market (Coulibaly aside? lol). He wasn't the one responsible for bringing Ayew, BDCR, Skipp to the club. Nor was he the one to welcome Soumare and Thomas back into the spine of the team after a year away, actively making us worse in the process. I guess we'll never know how we'd have done this season if we'd just said "screw it" and let him have his say on who we bring in and cast out. We certainly might have seen the back of Winks sooner, but hindsight's a beeyatch. I guess you can apply the same logic to Marti, mind you - a few loans isn't exactly backing the guy. But he's at least got a few new bodies to work with and a bunch of academy players chomping at the bit, which makes the half-season wasted persisting with want-away players like Bouba and Wout, and documented failures like Daka, all the more infuriating.

He wasn't the problem today - contributed to a pretty damn good first half performance and actually put himself about a bit, which made a change. He's extremely limited and it's embarrassing that anyone at LCFC thought he was the answer to anything, but there are about 7 or 8 players on that pitch today - including the waste of space who came on for him - who I'd lay the blame on for throwing the game away before him. -
Swear I heard some rumours about Callum Wilson in the past week, must have been some Mandela Effect bs. He's turned out to be West Ham's saviour anyway, so way out of our league now.

Out on his arse by 60-65 mins and by god it showed. We're like a different team when he's not got the legs, so easy to play through and toothless in attack without his link up. It's not his fault, he's running himself into the ground to compensate for shite performances and reading of the game around him. Others should be stepping up and with the sole exception of Skipp today (who was also knackered by the end), he was let down. Again. -
Special shout-out to both sets of fans today, quiet 90% of the game and too busy throwing child-botherer accusations at one another to watch the game. Absolutely dreadful atmosphere apart from them making a bit of racket after their late winner. Proper weirdo two rows back from us who looked like Curly from Coronation Street and fell for the bait all game, to the point we had to tell him to shut up or f off home. Cov have some proper wronguns in their weird fanbase, but today was a penny drop moment for me that we're honestly not much better. Also still sat at the ground as there are fights out in the road we're supposed to be leaving via. It's like watching the changing of the guard, just with extra fingers. As for the football? Meh. I was raging when we lost this one under Maresca, but I've honestly had the life beaten out of me so much over the past two years that it's... whatever. Same shit, different week.
