  1. Between the (wo)man marking, pace to the goal-line and ball control, I am convinced that this parrot would be an upgrade on any of our centre-backs
  2. love this man in both a platonic and religious way
  3. I saw an AI slop article today saying he's already walked and we're getting a 'perfect fit' for a replacement... Gary O' Neil. 😂
  4. You don't need to hope. We always phone in an absolute abortion of a performance at Bournemouth.
  5. Bit cathartic, this 😌
  6. Seriously though, next season for me will not be about an immediate return. If anything, coming straight up just meant the clear-out which Enzo started was incomplete, and we're still stuck with journeymen and charlatans. Including some that we've mindlessly decided to add under Cooper. I want to see the spine of this squad completely refreshed and a focus on youth, preferably with academy players like Alves, Nelson, and (if they're ready) Monga and Evans playing prominent roles. I hope that, as a fanbase, we would accept that a young squad may need time to learn and gel. I still think it was a really stupid decision to let Cannon go - regardless of whether he's not 'Prem Quality' he scores goals in the second tier and is proving a good foil for Brereton-Diaz at Sheff Utd. We are potentially going to go into next year with Daka as our first choice striker, supported by a youth player and nobody else. That will be our Achilles Heel - a lack of goals from our strikers and an over reliance on them from other parts of the pitch. Much is said of the need for a leader. We have none right now. I'd hope that one of Nelson or Souttar would be able to grow into such a role, assuming the latter would be willing to stay after being cast out in favour of wastemen like Faes. One thing's for sure - if the playing squad doesn't change dramatically, we're in for a world of pain next season, because if this lot can't motivate themselves to fight for Premier League status they sure as hell aren't going to suddenly find the graft needed to storm the second tier.
  7. It should be shouted from the rooftops that Fulham paid about as much for Emile Smith Rowe as we did for Oliver Skipp. The mask is at least off now - the media are acutely aware of the incompetent way our club is run. The mouth-breather narrative has weirdly shifted to the 'yOu dESErvE iT fOR hOUnDIng OUt coOpEr' argument now, because they can't feasibly claim we're lucky to have the ownership we do anymore. It's public knowledge that they couldn't run a bath at this point.
  8. What I'd give to see Faes forced to run up the gravel pits in Wanlip for hours.
  9. Nice of the ex-Forest pair to decide to finally show up and do us a favour. Shame it's all irrelevant while Wolves have Cunha. We have something that's spent similarly but which I couldn't possibly repeat here.
  10. I look forward to the chants next season as we labour to a mid-table bore-draw at St. Mary's "Who came last in a one horse race? Leicester F***ing City"
  11. Wolves have a game changer. We don't. Simple as that really. Cunha burying the hatchet with the management is ironically what will bury us.
  12. Scenes when we pip Bristol City to 12th on the final day
  13. I'm pretty ready for a long spell in the lower leagues. Let it rot for a bit, yo-yo seasons will only encourage King Power to keep chasing the dragon of the exposure being in the PL gives them. They'll surely give up when they can't sell a second season of us playing Stevenage away to global audiences, right?
  14. Can we just get enough sent off to forfeit? Then we'll have to play some of the academy by default next time out
  15. boo-urns!
  16. Standard procedure, ain't it.
  17. Genuinely the best news of the season. Tactically and ability-wise, I think most of this lot are beyond redemption as far as our PL survival goes. But if Kingy can at least convince a few of them that the badge is worth fighting for - this season and beyond - that's enough for me.
  18. canada owns celtic
  19. AC Milan deserved to lose. Not for football reasons, just because a club of their stature having goal music is tinpot as hell. And to make matters worse, it's the same shite we had!
  20. About the closest we've had has been some vague claims that 'Top likes possession football', which I'd question the truth behind given we were willing to A) appoint Cooper and B) shortlist Jesse Marsch. You're right of course. There's absolutely zero direction on a philosophical level, and even if those claims are true it just proves it's being done in the most surface level way possible. Our DOF's depth of long term thinking, it would seem, has only ever extended to the 'sell an asset for massive profit' model, which as we all know goes tits-up when your shoddy recruitment, poor contract management or external factors (be they Covid or relegation) prevent it from happening. There's never been an ounce or resilience in how we operate, just some dumb luck that it kept paying off with the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea overpaying for Maguire and Fofana respectively. By all rights the plan was to continue that with Maddison in 22-23, but we spaffed our load on the negotiating table by going down and Tottenham got him for £20-30 million less than he was worth, at a minimum. The same will happen with Hermansen this summer.
  21. If that is the case and we're sooooo confident in our watertight legal standing, we should have been fine with throwing a bit of money at staying in the league, rather than using PSR as an excuse not to. The basic balance of risk and reward says that staying up even one extra year in the PL, even with a points deduction and guaranteed ticket back to the Championship, would do more for our long term finances than going down while being 'good' but still haemorrhaging money. There's no way those in charge of the club's financial decisions come out of this looking like anything other than incompetent liars. Promising managers reinforcements, only to blame PSR for not funding them. Despite being publicly confident that they can be slippery and avoid consequences and actually quite bullish in doing so. It doesn't add up, and it should be shouted about more by the fanbase. They're taking us - and Ruud, as they did Enzo - for mugs.
  22. "WHY IS THE TRANSFER WINDOW CLOSED?" "How are we supposed to know, we're not supposed to spend, right?" "WHY?!" "We're just sitting here. We're supposed to." "... Who's handling these signings?" "I think PSR had an impact" "It just... closed, sir". "WHO?" *awkward squeaking noises* "We don't talk, sir." "Give us a statement". "I don't have one". "You want me to hire a van and plaster your face all over it?" "I don't have one, deals fall through all the time, the King Power's an imperfect place" "GIVE IT TO ME, RUDKIN." "Excuse me Sir, why would anyone want to sign for LCFC?" "WATCH IT, WHELAN." "The financial situation's way too heavy, sir". and so on and so forth DON'T YOU, FORGET ABOUT ME
