Saints (H) Pre-match - The El Shatico
The boy Linacre replied to iancognito's topic in Leicester City Forum
TBH RVN has tried so many permutations. IF he thinks he's not getting the effort, he has nothing to lose now, they will have already all decided whether he is staying or going, so the last 4 games results are irrelevant. Don't play those he's getting no effort from or he thinks are rubbish, who cares. I suspect even the fans don't, they just want effort 90 mins, I suspect there are NO other expectations this season. Sod the playing passengers. Shame there are now so many injuries or loans. -

Totally agree That is the one thing I would say to everybody I know that goes down, if they have no desire to do the best for the club and laughing after we are going down etc. and financial stupidity for a number of years. Then go to the game, socialise with your friends, expend a bit of emotional energy, support your club to the hilt but NOTHING ELSE. As they treat us like criminals and control something WE PAY for, the ST, i.e. on a phone (when not needed yet), restrict the number of times you can share something you have paid for. A totally broken playing side in terms of managerial ability (repeatedly now) and a totally unhappy/disengaged dressing room & playing staff. -
Who do you want to be our main striker next season?

I like the guys effort BUT the quality or football nous just isn't there, he is a comedy footballer and will kill people in the stands with his shooting. BUT he did actually score 7 goals in 20 Championship appearances last time out, IF by the end of the window he knows he's got half a season as first choice at least, that goal rate across the season would be close to 20. AND he did score 54 goals in 82 Austrian Bundesliga games. But yes generally he is pants. We'll struggle to sell unless we can get him out on loan It also just reiterates the contractual stupidity we brought on ourselves, we can't get rid because we pay him too much. Rudders.............. -

Will this sell out now that it's Vardy's last game......if there was any doubt it wouldn't -
I think in the absence of ANY communication from the club and with the current unhappiness level of most on here (probably rightly so) and various speculative sources, many look to fill that communication void, totally understandable. Our current reality means we are looking for hope, and based on the last 3 years and no current communication from a longstanding ownership and leadership group with recent embarrassing failure and a group of unmotivated players AND what looks to be an incapable manager. It just amplifies our disappointment and anger. King Power did an amazing job for 8-10 years, beyond all expectations, but have done a truly terrible job since the Forest FA Cup exit. We have visibility of some of it, our 2 relegations, BUT we don't have visibility of how they walked into PSR issues, which is causing so much of the problems now. Pretty much their strategical/managerial decision making since the start of the 22/23 if not before has been in my view (and probably many of you an unmitigated disaster) Do I want them out, NO, do I want change, YES. They can no longer manage this club to even a low degree of success with this leadership team. But we have to be careful what we wish for IF they go, look at others, its probably 50/50 success/failure. Either Rudkin has to go OR they find another "Football Expert", younger probably who they give real responsibility and accountability to alongside or over him, to make us more agile, to make better buying/selling/contractual/managerial appointing decisions, with a drive by all of them to 1) get us back to the top flight end of next season ideally 2) do everything we can to stay there 3) get a top flight platform to kick on in the next 3-5 seasons. Everybody on FT knows this, sadly we want it NOW and now that we have been relegated it is a multi year project & maybe slower to achieve with the problems in place and the quality vs 2 years ago. That will make none of us happy in the absence of any sound from the ownership or suggestion of what they want to achieve & acceptance at any level of mistakes made.

IF Top & Rudders have a brain & we know they haven't, he will be gone UNLESS its too costly to get rid. He really doesn't have a clue, sorry the results since West Ham & Brighton, aside from Spurs have been historical AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY They have to try and bounce back 1st season in one way, there is to much damage there now, the players need a new voice. The field isn't great but they should be looking now and for gods sake like last time (Enzo) go for something new and exciting, not some failure from elsewhere e.g. Martin -
Ramsey was in the pubs and clubs of Lestah loads in the 80's, saw him many a time. And Mr O'Neill was at one point Leicester's most capped international player, took over from a certain Gordon Banks, might still be so. Vital members of Gordon Milne's promoted side. Ramsey was a member of the PM's midfield along with Ian Wilson & Kevin Mcdonald behind that 50 goal strike force of: Super Stevie Lynex, Alan "Smudger" (I read from an autocue/bingo tick list on Sky commentary) Smith & a certain Gary Lineker.

Anyway onto the Cricket, at the moment we're top of the League!!! This club and EVERYTHING that comes from it currently is TOXIC, All of us need some time away from it as fans. We know the score at all levels, they patently don't or are just taking the fans for mugs. Sad indeed. -

We went 14, 1, 12, 9, 9, 5, 5, 8, 18 our second longest spell in the top flight I believe in our history. So aside from the last season, most top half, plus 4-5 seasons in Europe & an FA Cup win & League Cup Semi. No IF we were setting a bar or expectations, take the cup and Europe away (thats is being entitled, but nice to have). Somewhere between 8th & 17th for at least another 5-10 seasons would have been a fair bar. WITH the benefit of - a well off owner, initially very invested in the club, an amazing training facility, a recent history of success, a 30k+ ground. If we compare ourselves to others: Palace have been in the top flight since 14/15, TOP 10 TWICE (and that was 10)!!!!, 11th to 15th the rest, they aren't leaving anytime soon, anybody been to Selhurst Park!!! Hammers have been in the top flight since 12/13, top 10 5 times, best 6th - 1 Trophy I don't see any reason that we can't be in that group based on those 9 years. That is the level we should be basing ourselves if it has gone somewhat badly. As for Brighton, Bournemouth, Wolves and Brentford, C'mon. It was all set up and they fell asleep on the job and sleptwalked into relegation in 23, and now are clueless and repeatedly reactive NOT proactive, now we're yoyo and its rock hard to get back and stay as this year proved. -

If they can get rid on the cheaper I think they will. I have no idea how much they are constrained by PSR now BUT it must be getting better AND the deadwood is starting to go, bye Danny. If they seriously retool, then they are bothered, if they say nothing & don’t then they don’t care. -
TBF We've all got the mugs.... Keep calm & carry on

And I genuinely commend and thank you for that. And thanks for pushing for more, how sad there is such a "barrier" between the fans (who only want to spend their hard earned, look to an alternate route to the rest of their life for an personal/emotional/mental outlet) and the "club". Supporting is generally a shared experience, I'm sure that hasn't been as happy of late. Failure (over the last 3 years & the attitude on the pitch/in the dugout/in the posh seats, just magnify the disappointment. But again, great effort, thanks, keep going, there are LOADS behind & with you.

Just get rid, actually I say that, he'd be ok in the champs, just never let him near the Prem in our team again, same with Vestergaard, proven Championship the pair.

I think fans believe as an STH THEY'VE paid for their ticket and as a result they want to do with that what they want, so if they go on holiday for 2 weeks or are long term sick from nowhere etc. or whatever they can decide who has the ticket, its just flexibility. The club we all suspect, want to reduce that flexibility, because if they didn't they would probably be more flexible themselves NOW that we are about to be outside the diktats of the FPL and they could take the fans "on the journey" more. All their current approach has done, along with no visibility or communication about an abysmal season, much of which they are totally responsible for with bad decision followed by bad decision over 3-4 years now, is alienate a very unhappy fanbase further. £25 last year didn't help either. I want the card because I want the flexibility, I haven't missed more than about 1-2 games in the last 10 years, this year I AM going to miss probably more than 5 due to a big family event in the middle of the winter. I've also seen the repeated fiasco with digital tickets at the turnstiles. But I don't fit any exclusion criteria so down for Digital, probably frustratingly.

We could have given ourselves a much better chance if we hadn't been toxic to incoming managers by having PSR sit over us, that was always a turn off. But as any promoted team will find, you almost have to get ALL your expenditure right. We got Khannouss, as for BDCR, Ayew, Skipp & Edouard, well we might be relegated this weekend. That was helped by giving Jannik & Hamza 3 year contracts last year when they had failed repeatedly in the top flight. Money well invested indeed. The manager, team spirit and the players kept us up in 2015, the owners & the Club infrastructure sent us down in 23 (thought we'd never go down) & 25 (damage done by PSR WASTE) and NOW we are a yo yo club IF lucky. They haven't clue and no drive or ambition to do EVERYTHING possible to get us back up AND survive. Marinakis (though a nutter), did whatever was required to keep them up, (don't care what happened this season, BUT they will be mid table next) and can kick on (like we did for 8 years). Teams can stay up, but its VERY HARD
