  1. For me, damage limitation interviews by him & McCarron. McCarron still backing the manager & process. We have already had the time he said it might take, the points tally is probably worse than he would have hoped for, so already out of “learnings” time, time to win games & probably 2/3 to 3/4 of the next 10. Rudkin just told where he hoped to get back to repeatedly. How? I have wished I would have won the lottery since Nov 1994, still waiting for even 5 numbers, dreaming. Questioners now need to ask, how do we do that with a manager with a career average of 1.5pts per game or less? McCarron talked about Martin being successful at Saints, play off win, not automatic. 5pts from 16 games before being sacked in Dec 24. NOT a success. It feels like Question Time or listening to politicians, it’s total damage limitation. As politicians do, they are treating the public/fans/listeners like fools. Firefighting, REACTIVE too late, not Proactive.
  2. Michael Golding sounds like value for money at £5m?
  3. With Ronaldo not far behind, who’s Infantino going to pin his individual focus on? Football is a team game BUT the powers that be make it so much about individuals now
  4. If he’s fit he’ll play Bobby, guys just a waster, school playground footballer since his signing. One half good game a season Doesnt make us better in ANY way. IF he had finished his chances in the 1st few games, we’d be in the top 6 AND have much less pressure on these 2 games.
  5. Thanks Russell: "“We hurt them a lot tonight with passes over the top. We mixed the game up really well, I thought. We went in behind a lot, then we just started playing into the pockets when they dropped off, because we were a threat in behind. “But we get beat in both boxes. We have to be more clinical, so it's the same message. And then we only have to defend a couple of moments, really. I sort of think, one of the main benefits or a manager is to instil organisation, and order, and so better defending. We're not creating or finishing much, whatever he thinks about millions of shots at the opposition BUT if we keep the ball out of our net, the worst result will be 0-0, he's just had 3 weeks to do that. Thats the back 4 and any defensive midfielders, he has to sort it out, SOON, being proactive and attacking will be irrelevant IF we keep shipping close to 2 goals a game, that means you need 3 to win, he loves the stats and numbers. Its a simple calculation. Surprisingly we didn't concede again Plymouth, though we tried very hard, and surprise surprise, won 2-0
  6. My lad went mental, as did Roy Cropper, who explained to them about being 2-0 up and not winning, in language you wouldn't see on Coro.
  7. Shows he’s not shifting in his principles. As somebody once said “I’m not for turning” I mean doesn’t he find losing a lot of games miserable & demotivating?? Glad to see he has such as positive view of his place of employment in such a short time too.
  8. Sounds like we reached another nadir last night. Another thread said ”Out of all of the hideous results and performances we've endured over the past few years, a 2-1 defeat in a pointless competition against Stevenage is what's sent you over the edge. Incredible” What was the last truly uplifting performance by the team, there has been so much continued apathy and negativity, I needed to look back to something positive. Was it Preston A? Was it Southampton A Has there been one in the last 2 years?
  9. A couple of home pastings & his position must be untenable? If we win both games we’ll be in the top 6
  10. The thing is WHY fear failure, you don’t have to work your full contract AND you add to the £12m you’ve already had. I suspect if we bin him, he will be toxic But he is butchering us
  11. Glad we just got acolyte Smallbone in on a 3 year contract too.
  12. 2 1/2 weeks to work on things😂😂😂
  13. Eze had a great last season at Palace, but he’s a bench warmer at Arsenal & for England & he just promises more than he delivers. Thought Arsenal would be the making of him, just looks like he goes through the motions
  14. Really enjoyed England, it was a decent game vs Spain, flip of a coin, stupid defensive mistakes & Kanes penalty slip or we would have won. The two wins since, yesterday was a truly brilliant performance. The return in Spain IF they can hit the ground running could be a very enjoyable game to watch.
  15. A great watch, not just a beating a great performance, territory in the 1st 30 mins, hard work, pressing, tackling back. Desire & drive against a fading but reasonable team. Imperious, shame it’s not Spain away Tuesday, that would have been interesting.
  16. Wonder what people think of Saka this year?? Wasn’t great in the World Cup aside from the France basketball hat trick & Gordon’s winger output and level has been well above his since he cemented his place during the World Cup.
  17. After watching England in the World Cup & appreciate we were beaten by Spain, think this team is getting better & better and getting very positive about it IF we can win all the games not against Spain, this is much better level than dead man qualifier’s
  18. Thats going to be dull then, thanks At least I found out today a Lad from Norwich has become World Speedway champion
