  1. So according to my maths there is 3 days to go, 1 of the 5 alleged transfers is in. Is this the most disappointing transfer window we have EVER had?? Our league survival is almost certainly dependent on new blood, and it doesn't look like its arriving and even if it does, it missed winnable games against Palace, Fulham, & Everton tomorrow. And even if something does happen now, will we miss the fax machine again????? Just REALLY depressing and disappointing AND they couldn't even get rid of Edouard
  2. Borderline to go as Friday night, B team, live terrestrial TV & we’ll lose. But when it’s borderline and the pricing is a wind up, well that swings non attendance
  3. Totally right keeping it in the pocket, Chuffing Skipp, the point??? BDCR??? Edouard????? They didn't make any difference to the points we have now.
  4. If Ruud does walk, they will start to struggle to attract quality managers, look we had 3 goes at Potter, and maybe a few at Moyes? Looking like they are starting to get a bad reputation, not just from the fans. Sure Enzo isn't totally positive.
  5. If he walks won't be bothered, he's not the man for this particular half season, that was Moyes and we missed that boat, though would settle for Dyche in till the end of the season, that side needs some backside kicking big time. But most importantly it will bring to the wider audience what a farce, mess and comedy show it is at the KP, and Top will be exposed along with the muppet Rudkin, and just out of interest what is Martin Glover doing/does??? That might be outed too.
  6. I’ve been on both sides of the fence here as I became an STH in 15/16. And a member the season before. So it took me a number of seasons to bridge the 50pt Home ST benefit & I missed the Cup final as a result, where I’d been to 20-30 away games BUT still had less than somebody who had ONLY been to home games & the 1st Community Shield. So it shows how it skewed to Home STH renewer. These are priority for AWAY games, so if you do actually get to an Away game make it more valuable, than home, more cost, more effort etc. So each A game should be worth let’s say 3pts each or even 4, so they are more valuable than home points, or reduce the home points, that aren’t even an away reward. But it is a very contentious topic. But you have to do the hard yards, Millwall & Everton, Bournemouth, Preston, Liverpool, midweek, BristolC, Plymouth, Rome, Eindhoven etc. As @The Doctor says above. Ditch the home benefit or even them up or reduce its benefit, I’ve now been to about 60 Aways now and am into the 3rd category, but I have still never been to Brentford and would have to go to almost more than every away this season to move up an A group & I can’t. @FOXSE has some good suggestions too.
  7. Only put this on here coz some of the posters might be going: Really hoping to go to the Ashes in Dec/Jan. Have some apartments booked on cancellation, booking flights in the next couple of weeks, thing I am after is how to get tickets. Family Trip, the lad has somehow blagged 6 weeks off work, I'm stuck with 4-5 weeks so Adelaide onwards, he's going to Brisbane. Any nuggets, advice, insight, past experience greatly appreciated. I did go in 98 but was already in Asia backpacking & came from India, and guessing tickets were way way easier to get..... Yep any help much appreciated, this is also on the travel/holidays booked thread

  9. https://www.leicestercity.news/opinion/seven-figure-deal-sanctioned-by-leicester-city-owner-now-looks-like-a-complete-disaster/ QED, every fan knew it, but hey Top's not a fan If he had kept that in his pocket in Aug, that £20m could have kept us up now
  10. Won't affect us, we won't be in the PL
  11. That again shows poor planning, we look to have a Championship level striker, if the Board think we are going down, why sell, when we need him in 7 months and he will cost £15/20m to replace as Vardy will be gone if not Daka.
  12. If they buy nobody or very little OR very little quality between now and 3rd Feb, they given up on the team and club this year. WHY should we continue to financially support them For many of us LCFC is an important part of our life, we want it to be a subject of joy and happiness not something of negativity and disappointment, for many a release from many other things in their life. They won't listen to Rudkin out, or Sack the Board, they are impervious to that and I don't want a scripted apology in May, I want a TRUE mea culpa AND and open explanation as how in the next 1-3 years we are going to climb back to some level of competency and success (repeated top flight football), RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted (accept we won't get that) and Informed. So hit them in the pocket, IF all the above comes to pass for God's sake NO REPLICA shirts in the summer, I know peer pressure for the kids, grandkids, god knows what, BUT the larger the numbers the more the impact. Mid table championship mediocrity will make much of it a joyless experience for kids anyway. And YES your 1 pie Balti pie does make a difference if you have the choice, coz if 5,000 do that at a match, its not 1 but 5000. They do truly have the money to invest in this club to manage it better, they have just made bad decision after bad decision the last 3-4 years, and wasted that, legacy, goodwill and money. The players look unhappy, the fans and unhappy, its a mess. That is our way to at least make them think, as many are doing on a number of threads, it needs to be unanimous within the fan base and backed by numbers. Its our only method of somehow affecting change.
  13. So we look utter utter dross, there is nothing and no quality there now, BUT we are 1 win Yes 1 win away from being out of the bottom 3, with on paper almost as good a run in as we could hope for. Its a 4 horse probably 3 horse race for that 17th spot, come on Top help your club and manager out. Can't he just help us find something...........Or is he really as high up in our estimation as we are starting to think he is????? Harry Redknapp and others would have been out there wheeling and dealing now to do SOMETHING to help us find a few extra points.......SOMEWHERE
  14. Thanks, sadly I was there, unlike Wout who didn't turn up, in our spell where we couldn't defend corners
  15. Last new starter to make his first app at the Tottenham Stadium was Wout in Sept 22, we scored two that day. Forgot the final score???? Anybody help me...... Hope this isn't a repeat for Woyo, bless him. Wout never recovered.
  16. Tell you what if there isn't more than 1 purchase, Top and Rudkin have decided AND sent us down, telling RVN to play with THAT squad/team for the last 16-18 games, I think BEK will be pushed by him mum/agent to stay in the PL with another club and we might even get offered more, he has definitely shone on occasion. He didn't join us to play in Championship. He'll leave along with Mads, probably Winks, and everybody we will try and get shot off, who are expensive.
  17. In May 2005 Malcolm Glazer took ownership of 75% Manure. 5 titles till 2013, 1 European Cup, 1 Europa League, 2 FA & League Cups since Alex went. Owners still mess it up and its upsetting
  18. I hoped we would finish 17th, nothing more. Because its about being in there, and then you TRY and kick on like Forest have, like Brentford have, like Bournemouth have. What I would say is the fans have plenty of mixed opinions, but they probably know 8-9 of the best 11, who should be at the club and who should be let go, again not 100% but maybe 80/85% Why would you make lengthy contractual decisions at a lower quality level (big gap), with players that have failed or found it a struggle at the higher level i.e. Hamza, Vestergaard, even McAteer. That the effects scope for recruitment going forward. Why spend £20m+ on Skipp when he looks to be a direct Winks replacement, so we had a better version for half the price, why bring Edouard in at such a restrictive cost and loan approach, again last minute (panic-keep the money). WHEN it will be 50/50 if you stay up or not, you probably have to get the majority of those decisions right, we haven't, and now we are stuck with those players most likely. Those 5 aren't making us better. Bilal and maybe Ayew to some small extent, are the only transfer successes last summer, thats not helping the manager and the team. Class Abdul as prior to that. Again 2 years ago if Brendan was going in March he goes in the international window at ve latest, not AFTER the 1st game after. When they had 2 winnable games against Bournemouth and Villa @ home, we had the two backroom staff coaches, who butchered it, and we lost both games, that along with the Brentford game day 1, Southampton game next H game and Maddison's penalty miss is what sent us down. Might not even have been Rudkin, Top probably would have made the Rogers decision. But there was an article on DOF's in the Sunday Times yesterday, and it was really good article, he falls into the "Culture and Leadership" DOF. Other 2 were Transfer wheeler dealer & Data guru. It said a DOF is likely to be recruitment centred, ours has been poor for 4-5 seasons now. And safe to say the culture doesn't look great down there if they are on the lash sending Cooper off and we have no leadership, RVN was scattergun after Cooper, it had to be a dog of manager like Moyes or Dyche, not somebody who hasn't been in the cauldron before, we're not building, we're trying to survive this season. The results have dictated that the belief and confidence has gone, and any quality and we have been hit by 2 big lengthy injuries, that we couldn't afford. Your absolutely right we have no divine right to be in the top 8, BUT as EFL Champions and and comfortable title winners and a number of PL level players, I believed/hoped we might finish 17th, and that would have done. We look likely to fail, I said it was 5 years from 23, not it'll be 5 years from 25 to get anywhere close to where we were, and thats mismanagement and bad decision making.
  19. If there are less than 3 signings in Jan, and within a month, they don't get a lot of minutes and we get results like Palace & Fulham. The last 3 months are going to be toxic down the KP
  20. 3yrs 9months ago I went to Italy in the European semi final AND we finished 8th that season after already winning an English Football Trophy the Aug before. We have managed to get relegated, get promoted AND be back in the bottom 3 in that time, STUNNING CONTINUAL INEPTITUDE. Only the running of the country has been worst over the last 3-4 years. Maybe Boris or Liz can take over from Rudders???? If Top has given up?
  21. Elon Musk instead of Top
  22. They actually just don’t want us to be there luckily after this week we don’t want to be anywhere where the team steps over the white line
  23. Put that on the Euphemism thread
  24. So he is happy on occasion?? Hanger on, left with the kids and bog roll, and if he continues with his current successful record, thats how many fans will be at the games.
