Went to look at a job a few weeks ago who had issues with some radiators not working. I remembered this recommendation so passed it on to the customer. They came out a couple of days ago and got a 40 year old system with a pre-historic floor standing boiler back up and running. One very happy and relieved customer who is so glad he got this company in. Certainly one to remember for anybody with similar problems.

Whoever's idea it was to put traffic lights on that 'roundabout' wants shooting. It worked much better before they were there. All it does now is cause mayhem by people blocking it because its not big enough to avoid blocking an exit if the lights change

No he was in tune!!!

Why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone? Go and see the fireworks in London and book a hotel in Edinburgh.

90mm thick!!!!! Im not suprised the adhesive is taking a long time to hold it up 🤣🤣🤣
-
Mmm does seem strange. Perhaps the easiest option is to put up a curtain pole with a bracket in the middle so at least then you are screwing the tile to the wall 🤣
-
If it aint set after 3 weeks it aint gonna set. Personally i would take it off and refit it. Have you 'roughed up' the walls first? Scratching grooves into the plaster with a large flat headed screwdriver for instance allows the adhesive to make a better contact. Also have you primed the walls first? And as they are such large tiles what type of adhesive are you using? A lot of the ready mixed adhesives are only recommended for upto 300mm x 300mm tiles. I would imagine as its not been grouted yet the steam and moisture is getting behind the tiles hence why its not drying.

Best way really is to use a grouting float pushing it down as best you can and cleaning away as much as possible off the tiles as you go. Then leave it to dry for possibly 5-10 minutes and then go over it with a damp, but not to wet, sponge. Then leave it to dry again until you can only just rub it off the tiles and then go over it with a dry cloth going 45 degrees to the joints so as not to rub this out. The drying times all depends on obviously how warm the room is. Regarding the siliconing you can spend a bit of time putting masking tape along both sides of where you want to seal and then after you have gone along it pull the tape off straight away. Either that or you can buy tools to create a better finish but you have to clean the excess silicone of the tool as you go along.

Got to be the stat. Each thermostat controls a zone valve so if you have found out the valves are working by swapping the stats it can only be that. It is quite common for a thermostat to develop a fault

Lionesses vs Belgium - King Power Stadium 27/10/23
NAKC20 replied to HybridFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Nice to see the King Power with a lot of women watching a game of football but why do they consider it ok to go in the mens toilets because they cant be bothered to queue for the ladies? Imagine the uproar should a male go into the ladies. -
Apparantly she has found that and tried what it suggested but nothing worked so she contacted the Apple support at the bottom of the page and all they have done is sent the exact link that she had contacted them from!!!

Does anybody know anything about Apple Laptops? Daughter has one and it wont switch on. I have asked and 'of course its charged' She has googled it and tried a few things but still no luck.

We were away near Lowestoft last week and we often walked past a bungalow near our caravan. On the Tuesday night we could see a christmas tree being put up in the conservatory. On the Saturday we walked past a group fully kitted out in christmas jumpers and carrying all things wrapped heading for the bungalow. Im sure, or rather hoping, there was a reasonable explanation for all of this!!

Totally agree. We sit in G1 and could clearly see the the situation escalating. It became very clear very quickly that something was happening as more and more of supporters around the area were trying to get the attention of the stewards on the concourse. It was at least a minute before one of them acknowledged they had been spotted and then a further 2-3 minutes before they started to try to get to the area. They even started to come up the steps but turned round to go back down to come up a different set of steps to get to the patient. Im sure the medics know what they are doing but like you say it seems like an age im sure for himself and people with him. Fingers crossed it all turned out ok with him

Travel disruption - trains, planes, automobiles and parking

Stay until the final whistle and miss the traffic -
You often see stewards from the away clubs outside the King Power near the away turnstyles

Perhaps there will be an empty seat on one of the coaches leaving the ground after the match? 😁

Been to a few womens games and im pretty sure the car parks are open straight after the game. Suppose its just easier to leave it on the website as it is when you book them for a mens game

Is it the same week Middlesborough play Exeter in the Carabao cup? Perhaps the team and fans could make a week of it.

Leicester City and County honours
NAKC20 replied to worth_the_wait's topic in General Football and Sport
Does this list just account for sports teams based in the City? Loughborough Lightning are currently the Vitality Netball Superleague Champions and also won it in 2021. Understand if it just City based teams as im sure there are a lot of other teams county based that are current champions of their own national league. -
Had to laugh at the amount of people going round collecting the paper cups and returning them for 10 pence a cup. Fully understand kids doing it but to see grown up adults head first in wheelie bins grabbing as many as they can was embarassing.

Going on Sunday. Not normally my thing but got tickets as a birthday present (who wouldnt want to see Kylie on their birthday) just looking forward to sampling the atmosphere and hopefully having a good day out and then getting home and moaning about the price of the food and drink there
