In my opinion Brighton could win an FA cup in the coming years. Weiffer and Minteh are excellent signings, Weiffer especially is one of the biggest talents in Europe, I am surprised a bigger club didnt get him.

This might make sense if Buonannotte was actually PL ready but he isn't. He offers very little goal threat. This is more of a Sheffield United loaning Luke Thomas type deal than us bringing in a PL quality player.

Skipp is PL proven in the same way Luke Thomas is PL proven. He has quite a few PL apps under his belt but this is not his level, the championship is.

I thought he was good? 12 goals 4 assists in the Eredivisie last season but Ajax fans seem happy that he's leaving.

My point is exactly what you are saying, that the values of a player fluctuates and is based on the performance on the pitch. Coolhandfox's point is that a club has to pay that amount for a player for that player's value to be defined. With CoolHandFox's definition how do you define a player's value if they have not transferred to a club recently? You don't, it is still defined by the last amount that was paid for that player and is therefore fixed at a time in the past, therefore the definition is flawed. I gave examples where that definition is flawed and you disagreed with those examples (because the logic is flawed) and therefore agreed with me.

You have just agreed with me @Dahnsouff. A player's value is not defined by what clubs pay for them but by their performance on the pitch. I was just using the last transfer values of players to show that what clubs pay for a player does not define their real value.

Maguire was worth £80 mil then? Danny ward worth £12 mil? Vardy worth £1mil? Just because someone underpays or overpays for a player doesnt make it their value, it's what the player provides on the pitch that determines their value.
