The only player worth spending £20mil on in this league in our situation (no point spending money on someone like Summerville when we have Mavididi despite the upgrade) is Gabriel Sara. He has among the highest goals and assists tallies, similar to Dewsbury Hall, despite being Norwich's deepest midfielder for large parts of the season. For me he's the best player in the division by quite a distance and with Dewsbury hall leaving we are going to desparately need some quality in midfield.

Would much prefer Gabriel Sara if Norwich doesnt go up. Similar price bracket to Hamer and a far better player.

Keep him for the first team. The only player we have with that level of close control is Winks and Alves arguably is arguably even more technical. It could save us spending 10 mil on cover for the midfield/wing positions that we are light in.

It's very likely that Rodgers asked the recruitment team for an aerially dominant centre back to help us with our set piece problem. He's not even that bad, just not the right profile for our team.

I predict a riot

Piroe has to be one of the worst players in the top 4 teams. So glad we didnt sign him.

Maddison, Tielemans and Barnes had some high highs for us but they also had some very low lows. Not just because they were part of a relegation team but on an individual level as well they would drop off a cliff performance wise out of nowhere. The fact that we had three players that are on paper some of our best ever and were in their prime, in a relegated side, speaks volumes about the consistency and reliability of those players. You also have to factor in that out of those 3 only Tielemans played a major part in our FA cup.

Why would we shift the best striker our club has ever had in order to develop players who wont perform at the same level. As long as Vardy is performing we should try and get as many years out of him as possible, we wont see someone near his level for a while.

Even if he declines next season and doesnt perform it wont affect his legacy in any way. The only risk in extending him is financial.

Mavididi had one of his better performances today I thought. Maybe not at his absolute best but he had a classy assist and that one run where he took on 3 to 4 Southampton players and came out with the ball.

10 games ago I was the same but now I would be relieved if we finished second.

They might have played more recently and may be more tired but i was saying that we can't play a pressing style like we did at the start of the season. It requires a level of fitness that we dont currently have.

We're too knackered to play a pressing style against Southampton. Our midfield wouldn't get anywhere near them.
