Hopefully the goal will give him some confidence. The couple of times I've watched him play for Northampton he was getting in all the right positions but the finishing touch wasn't there.

Mentality is ability as well. These players are exactly where they deserve to be. Pearson was excellent at setting a good dressing room culture but even he didn't turn bad eggs into good ones, he just weeded the bad eggs out. We have had no continuity in the manager position since Rodgers, how are the managers supposed to reset the culture when they're not given more than one transfer window, or in some cases none at all. We should have stuck with RVN, the approach he took with Winks and Vestergaard is exactly what we needed and still need. Same with Cifuentes.

Same with Van Nistelrooy and Cifuentes, it's not the managers fault we are bad. The players are genuinely just championship relegation fodder.

Away v Sheff Weds. 06/04/26 Match Thread

W*nks is a willy puller. -
No manager in football is good enough to get this lot playing well. Also it is antithetical for a good manager to come here, a good manager would look at this squad and realise there is nothing to get out of them so would not join us. Only managers who don't have a clue will come here.

I honestly think we can get out of the bottom
honeybradger replied to huddersfieldfox's topic in Leicester City Forum
We absolutely should. It's not in our hands mate. Portsmouth are a point above us with a game in hand, we could beat them and still go down. West Brom and Blackburn are 4 points ahead of us, we might not get 4 more points by the end of the season. -
When I heard "beat 4 defenders" I was thinking he pulled off a dribble like one for that goal against West Ham. Still good though
-
Not quite as impressive as hoped but still a nice piece of skill.

Beat 4 defenders

It will be his assistant taking over though who will be aligned with Manning sadly.

Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Same team as Monga and Page? Bizarre how it works out really, two players who have been in the first team for much of this season and a player who has been kept with the u18s playing at the same level. -
I prefer that he is getting zero blame for the mess we are in. Some of our fans were starting to partly blame him for our downfall
-
Evans off at half time? Apparently he missed a decent chance. Hopefully he starts getting given more than a half again.

Watford 0-0 LCFC, post-match thread
honeybradger replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
I have seen Ochtere play in person, I wasn't a fan originally but he has been among the goals recently for the U21s. Considering the club's reluctance to promote Hutchinson to the U21s perhaps Ochtere is our best bet at displacing Daka/Ayew, although I would prefer Hutchinson. We really need to try anything as we're not getting any value from the terrible two. -

Time to promote Hutchinson or Otchere? Or give Mukasa a run at striker? -
He's our player, just on a 6 month contract.

Wout Faes signs for Leicester - Official
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
In Wout Faes's last 2 games for the club we were down 3-0 at half time. It should have been obvious to Faes why he was dropped but somehow it never is. He was playing like sh*t. As bad as Nelson and Okoli have been they are not as bad as Faes. -
Wout Faes signs for Leicester - Official

Faes has had that realisation multiple times sadly. Must have been over a year ago when his agent announced he would be leaving. -
Games where Winks started: 0.95 PPG Games where Winks didn't start: 1.35 PPG Yet you still adore Winks. It feels to me that you are picking and choosing which players you consider to be at fault for our downfall. Our low points per game without Vestergaard is massively weighted by the games that King was in charge and where we looked rudderless. As @Chelmofox just mentioned Vestergaard's injury also aligns with Jordan James being injured. You can't just conclude the cause of our woes when there are so many variables.
-
Okoli and Nelson was a semi regular centre back pairing before Cifuentes got sacked and they were fine at averaging over a point per game. For comparison cifuentes's last 9 games: With vestergaard: Played 4 Won 1 drawn 1 lost 2 PPG 1 Nelson and Okoli: Played 5 Won 2 lost 3 PPG 1.2 Vestergaard being out isn't the problem, it's the terrible way the club approached sacking and replacing Cifuentes. We should have either had someone ready to come in immediately or kept him.

This was Iversen earlier this week. Stolarczyk wouldn't hear the end of it if he palmed the ball in to trouble like Iversen did and also fumbled the corner. It's just the case of the grass being greener, there's not much between them.

Divine Mukasa joins on loan - Official
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm not referring to the happy clappers here although they are bizarre themselves. I'm referring to the fans that are harsher on young players than they are on older ones, despite the younger ones still learning their trade and being on significantly lower wages. If BCDR and Mukasa are equally not up to standard then I would still rather give leeway to Mukasa who is still learning his trade at this level than persist with BCDR who is supposedly "prem proven" but has shown very little of that even in the Championship and won't get better. We seem to have more fans like this than other clubs for some reason.
