  1. Edouard is similar, despite his height he's not much of an aerial threat. I would say nacho is actually better at heading than he is.
  2. Im just suprised with all the people thinking a top 6 club like chelsea would be missing out by not signing him. Performing week in week out against sides from the championship is a lot different from performing consistently against prem teams. There's a very decent chance he would flop there. It's also not guaranteed that he would be a game changer for us, he'd probably be decent but i dont think it would be a huge miss if we dont sign him.
  3. Anyone else think he's a bit overrated? He's almost 25 and based off of performances in the championship he's at a similar level to what barnes was when he was at west brom. If we're getting him just for LW 100% pass, if we're getting him for the RW then he would definitely be an upgrade but i wouldnt expect him to be a world beater, he's definitely not as talented as mahrez.
  4. Seems they are quite desperate considering how much pressure they're trying to put on him. Obviously he doesnt need to donate anything but it would be a nice gesture. Wont think any less of him if he doesnt though.
  5. Brooks had 7 goals 5 assists in 2300 minutes in his first season in the PL and offers a lot more than goals/assists as well. No coincidence when he was injured last year for 5 games and injured this year that bournemouth's form dropped massively/got them relegated. Think he would do really well in our team with more quality players around him than he had at bournemouth.
  6. The one who has 5 goals 3 assists in 900 minutes? Strikers need a run of games to get into shape and nacho isnt an exception, him getting that return in such limited playing time this season is very impressive.
  7. We have 2 very good strikers. Why we're even considering using 25+mil of our limited transfer budget on getting a new one when we need a good right winger is beyond me.
  8. Anyone else think justin was more than good enough at LB when he played there? I know 3 players covering 2 positions isnt ideal but that chilwell money could be used better elsewhere.
  9. Wouldnt buy any turkish forwards apparently this generation isnt very good and that probably include him.
  10. If a good season for him is 6 goals 1 assist in 3000 minutes then i dread to think what he looks like when he's off it. 29 as well, he'll probably be heading to the championship.
  11. Honestly pretty much, although he did have a really good season a while back with 9 goals 6 assists which is where most of the hype comes from i assume. Whenever ive watched him he just seems like demarai gray 2.0, just a really frustrating player who could do a lot more with his natural ability but just doesnt have the experience pull it off. Definitely better options for the 30 mil quoted.
  12. Think he would be 20 mil minimum, 25 mil maximum. Definitely worth the price though considering that if bournemouth hadnt gone down he would be 45 mil+. At full fitness i think he's better than sarr as well.
  13. I think he's looked really good considering the situation. With ricardo back he'll be our cup/europa league right back next year so he doesnt need to prove much more than he already has done, still got plenty of time to develop before he has to step up as our number one RB.
  14. I swear no one on here has seen Bailey actually play. He's got all the ability but he's not got the end product just yet, takes too many shots outside the box that go sailing over the crossbar, really poor decision making considering the positions he gets in, doesnt make runs like barnes into the box for goals. If we want experience Bailey is not the player to go for.
  15. Yh i would rather get a top quality player like brooks or zaha for 20 mil or 40 mil respectively. Im just saying that if it was up to me i wouldnt have Fraser anywhere near the club, nowhere near top 6 quality which is the type of winger we need to be looking to sign.
  16. Would rather not sign fraser at all than get him on a free personally. All he does is cross and we've see with albrighton that crossing does nothing for us, he would take up wages and a spot in the squad for the next 3 year, pretty much instant deadwood. Willian i would be ok with but he's really nothing special but if we're limited to free transfers he might be our best option.
  17. Would much rather be a starter for the club i came up with than a bench jockey for chelsea. Pretty sure brentford could offer him a competitive wage with pl money as well.
  18. Not getting top 4 is annoying this season especially considering the state of the top 6. Next year i would be happy with 6-9th position tbh, if rodgers and congerton actually sign a decent rw i think that will give our team the boost we need for a top half of the table finish/top 6 challenge.
  19. Good for him, QPR are a decent outfit at the moment, good at developing young players. Think this is one of the best possible clubs for him to end up at .
  20. Why would we go for harry wilson when the guy who keeps him on the bench (david brooks) is probably for sale considering bournemouth got relegated. Wilson is only rated because he comes from liverpools academy he would be a solanke/ibe tier transfer, he's really not very good.
  21. Why did HE spend 30 mil on Perez who is primarily a goal threat from wide then? What's worrying to me is that he seemingly doesnt understand what he wants from players, it's almost as if at the end of last season he decided he wanted goals from out wide so he looked through players from midtable sides who played in a wide area and picked the highest one which was perez, but he didnt consider his shortcomings as a player and whether he would actually fit into our team or not. Him starting with maddison and perez on the wings and choudhury as an 8 makes me worry that he doesnt have a coherent vision for this squad. Would be typical if he goes out and signs fraser who had 14 assists last year but did so by spamming crosses like albrighton which clearly doesnt work in this team. I am very worried for this upcoming transfer window.
  22. I agree we cant compete with man united anymore, we need to lower our expectations for next season. But man united were run so poorly before this season that i genuinely think our squads were similar in quality despite them spending half a billion pounds more than us.
  23. They had fernandes for 18 games, we had maddison for 30 games. Rodgers got the funding for our weakest position (right wing) then spunked it on a player who is more suited to second striker or CAM. Perez is like griezmann at barcelona for us, good player, wrong position, big money, our weakness going forwards this season could have been fixed so easily had rodgers just spent that money on a natural right winger so he really has no excuses.
  24. This, jonny evans had a clanger a few minutes before choudhury made his mistake it just went unpunished but you wont see people saying he's not good enough based on that. Choudhury had a good game today and one mistake doesnt take away from that, people who think he's championship quality need their heads screwed on he's clearly talented.
  25. There was a reason we fired puel, he was massively underperforming with that squad of players. Also that team that finished 9th was missing barnes and tielemans for most of the season and wasnt using vardy to his stregths. Puel being shite doesnt cover up the fact that rodgers had a very good starting 11 going into the season and despite the consensun on here he had ok depth as well.
