Hopefully this allows us to sell Daka to the Saudi league. -
Random / Semi Unheard of Players you’ve spotted that we should look at

Ideal replacement for El Khannouss would be Titraoui. Unreal player and could likely get him for £5-7mil. -
Will Alves (loaned to Huddersfield, official)
honeybradger replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
I just dont see the point in the way we have managed him. Just a complete absence of trust in him from our leadership. We gave Cordova Reid 744 PL minutes but Alves cant get gametime for us in the championship. Even after Dewsbury Hall's succesful Luton loan he needed Soumare to flop to get a chance. It feels like Alves will always be fighting against a wave of incoming players to make it here, most of which won't even be any good. Same with the rest of the academy. -
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Cannon, Winks, Doyle, Casadei didn't really work out for us. Yes Winks on his Premier League wages who shat the bed at PL level was not a good transfer. Cannon also not a good transfer just because Sheffield United saved us by overpaying further on him. We got lucky. -
Will Alves (loaned to Huddersfield, official)

If we get promoted he's still going to struggle for gametime even if he has a good loan in league one. -

Now please spend the money wisely rather than have a repeat of last year. -
He plays deeper for Wales i think

Rather have him coming off the bench for us than Silko Thomas if im being honest. -
Julián Carranza (joined on loan, official)

Im not saying compete for the same players as we would probably lose out but just look in the same direction as Feyenoord are looking. Although now I've looked at it they've signed 2 Portuguese league rejects, 2 upcoming talents from the Belgian league, 1 championship defender and mostly other talents from Eredivisie so maybe not as exotic as I expected. The players from the Portuguese league in particular look similar to our transfer strategy of paying more once they've failed elsewhere. -

I know Feyenoord is a champions league level club and we are a championship level club but we have a similar level of spending power to them and recently have been able to attract a similar level of talent to them. There's no reason we should be buying up their failed transfers, if we were competently ran we would be shopping in the same market as them. -
Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)
honeybradger replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
Kristiansen has been shockingly bad for us, let's not stick with a busted flush because he played in a decent Bologna side who didn't even want to buy him. -
We're missing footballing ability, not leaders. We've been trying to buy leadership for a while and it's not worked out.

What happened to Josh King? No longer with us or injured, i thought with a couple good loans he would have an outside chance of making it here. -
Much rather have Monga than Nguhoma. Monga is younger and is more technically gifted.
-
Us, Southampton, Ipswich, Sheffield United, Coventry. Who's the 6th?
-
No but if you bring in Solomon then you also have Mavididi rotating with Fatawu as well. I think Monga rotating and covering with both wings is the goldilocks spot for him, another winger ahead of him and he starts struggling for starts and opportunities off the bench most weeks. Maybe he get 800-900 minutes playing that way but I think 1500 is what we should be aiming for
-
If that was Ayew he holds onto the ball too long or takes the shot himself. Page making the right run to pick up the ball and making the right decision to lay it off to Fatawu shouldn't be taken for granted. Good decision making is not something all our players have and is generally underrated because it doesnt look flashy. In a team full of poor decision makers you cant take an action that actually led to a goal for granted.
-
If we can sell Winks and get this guy in it looks like it would be great business. Would prefer someone younger but it looks like a transfer that improves us on the cheap so cant complain.
-
We already have Mavididi for rotation. Solomon coming in makes Monga our 3rd choice left wing and 2nd right wing which in my opinion is too far away from the first XI. Think of how often Akgun played for us and that's Monga's role if we bring in a new winger, it's not enough. There's also Solomon's high wages and injury risk to factor in, I just dont think it's the right choice.
-
Fans should be wary that bringing in Solomon would limit the opportunities of Monga, who already looks as good as Solomon anyway. Would be such a backwards signing irregardless of politics. You get a solid championship player on high wages for one season and you lose out on one year of seeing a once in a generation talent play for us.
-
Im worried he was only selling players in order to try and satisfy PSR and doesnt see the benefit of clearing out a few others. It all seems to have slowed down since that tweet came out saying we had met our PSR requirements.
-
That's a matter of opinion. I think he's ready to break through this season and wouldnt want to see a new striker hinder that possibility.
-
It's worth keeping in mind how new signings impact the progression of the youngsters. New left back and Aluko is further away from breaking through, new CAM and Page and Alves struggle to get minutes, new striker and Evans doesnt get a chance, new left wing (Solomon) and Monga doesnt get off the bench. New signings are not always a positive, as seen with most of our current squad. Sometimes it's better to develop what you already have.

Was on the pitch after the senior game. Maybe there was an injury worry that meant he was close to making the bench? -
Some of our fans think we should bring in Solomon instead of playing Monga
