Gueye was one of Everton's best players last season so think they will probably want to keep him. Also at 35 and high wages this is the sort of transfer we should be avoiding.

Maybe it was by instruction. Very worrying if it was because we had no midfielders covering the space in front of our defence. I think he still needs to see the danger as it's happening though and reacted far too late.

I agree he did ok covering the space but we need a midfielder who wins the ball back and cuts out attacks before they become threatening.

Almost lost us the game by not tracking his man at 80 minutes, luckily Okoli was there to block it. The run down the wing was exciting but the problem with Winks is that he doesnt work hard enough off the ball. We need better than him and Skipp if we are to go up.

I like the fact that he's willing to bench Winks and Faes. Need the first XI to be our most committed XI first and foremost. I think Pereira adds a lot of much needed quality and we will look a lot better with him in the side. Probably play him at right back and Choudhury instead of Skipp until we get another midfielder in.

Winks is going to cost us this game by not tracking a runner I fear.

What has happened to Fatawu? Used to be really good at playing the midfielder in (Ndidi) but isnt using Page at all.

Ayew needs to be less selfish.

Page and ayew need to drop back and provide that extra option to play out from.

Defender crunches monga and ends up with a bloody nose. He's ridiculous physically for a 16 year old.

Vestergaard was awful against Preston. Worse than Nelson against Huddersfield. He still starts today, we need to move away from this mentality as a club where the senior pros consistently get away with murder whilst the academy players need to play well every time theyre on the pitch. The standards should be lower for academy players, not higher.

Personally I think what the club has been doing is a step in the right direction. We've all been saying drain the swamp and it's finally happening. It's not going to be a walk in the park but this squad desperately needed open heart surgery which it seems to be getting and I think this summer window will age better with time.

The poo bit are the premier league blooded and international players. Need to improve on Soumare, Skipp, Vestergaard, Ayew, Choudhury. Page and Monga are this starting XI's most redeeming quality.

Cifuentes . Just needs to drop Vestergaard for Nelson now and Ayew for Mavididi.

Can we please allow the same tolerance to our academy players for having bad performances as our senior players get? Faes has been majority bad for us for 3 years, Winks has been bad for the most part for over a year and yet you still get fans saying theyre the best we have and need to back them. Let's allow Monga and Page at least one bad game, or 5 or 10 (ideally never) before we pile in on them. It just feels like there's a bunch of fans waiting in the wings to jump on the young players and say 'i told you so' when they dont win every game. Like what happened with Nelson.

He probably thought we were a pathway to a big move to chelsea/man united.

Monga needs to start with Mavididi up front. We need a win and that's our best way of getting it.

I feel bad for Mads but at least it's quietened down everyone who jumped on Stolarczyk last game saying he cant replace him.
