Fans should be wary that bringing in Solomon would limit the opportunities of Monga, who already looks as good as Solomon anyway. Would be such a backwards signing irregardless of politics. You get a solid championship player on high wages for one season and you lose out on one year of seeing a once in a generation talent play for us.

Im worried he was only selling players in order to try and satisfy PSR and doesnt see the benefit of clearing out a few others. It all seems to have slowed down since that tweet came out saying we had met our PSR requirements.
-
That's a matter of opinion. I think he's ready to break through this season and wouldnt want to see a new striker hinder that possibility.
-
It's worth keeping in mind how new signings impact the progression of the youngsters. New left back and Aluko is further away from breaking through, new CAM and Page and Alves struggle to get minutes, new striker and Evans doesnt get a chance, new left wing (Solomon) and Monga doesnt get off the bench. New signings are not always a positive, as seen with most of our current squad. Sometimes it's better to develop what you already have.

Was on the pitch after the senior game. Maybe there was an injury worry that meant he was close to making the bench? -
Some of our fans think we should bring in Solomon instead of playing Monga

He's not even playing u21s though. Potentially close to a loan perhaps or injured? -

Evans? -
He's getting the Mcateer treatment on twitter by Hammarby fans. Half celebrating he's leaving, the other half saying what a good lad he is. Not many positives about him as a footballer or how well he is going to do or how they should try to hold on to him. Based on that I would avoid him.
-
Most galling for me is Ayew starting. It should be Monga on the wing and Mavididi up front.
-
Winks almost lost us the game when he came on against Charlton by not tracking runners.
-
Vestergaard was poor against Preston and still started next week and for the foreseeable future. Can't move past a poor game if you never play again.
-
we're not doing anything, this Peter o'rauke guy is just flinging rumours around. Can we keep any rumours from him in the twitter rumours? there doesnt seem to be any real substance to what he says.
-
Part of me is worried that now we have "satisfied PSR" the club will no longer be looking to shift players like Daka, Faes, Kristiansen etc. Hopefully we are still open to clearing out some more of the squad.
-
Isn't the whole point of signing from Scandinavian teams that you get talent on the cheap? 25mil euros is a lot, it's going to inflate that market for the rest of us.
-
£60k a week, you could buy a talented footballer for his yearly wage which we would have to cover. Went missing against any decent championship side Leeds faced last season as well. No thanks. Just play Monga and Mavididi instead.

Ex Players - They used to play for us
honeybradger replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
He's honestly not as bad as is being made out. He wasnt great in the context of us being a Premier League side looking to play in European competition but even then he had a run for us in Christmas 20/21 where he was playing at the standard of a top 6 level midfielder and even had a man of the match performance when we beat Man City 5-2. He also was a starter for Senegal when they won AFCON. For the championship he will be good enough, he's a good recycler of the ball and can put in a good tackle if he gets close enough (his main issue is that he gets bypassed quite easily in midfield). Back then it wasnt good enough but at Championship level midfielders get lauded for doing less than Mendy does. He also quite comfortably outplayed our current midfield last pre season in the game against Lens which showed how far we had fallen as a club. Even Mendy looked surprised with how awful we had become in such a short space of time. -

Besiktas fans are saying Ndidi played well despite the loss. -
Are we seriously believing this o'rauke guy? He doesnt seem trustworthy.
-
I just cant believe that Mcateer would ever say that.
-
He looks good technically but is it not worrying that his stats look so poor in Europe alone as per Fbref, even if it's skewed by a small data size.

Ivanovic scored 1 goal every 3 games in the championship last season, are we sure he is the guy we need to score regularly for us?
-
I would like to see him playing abroad.
