  1. As is typical, Nelson written off after one bad performance whereas Vestergaard gets unlimited clean sheets at this club. Should be the other way round, Nelson should get as many clean slates as he needs to establish himself here here as he's young and still developing. Vestergaard will forever produce clangers like he did today, should have been out of the door yesterday. This entire situation shows how rotten this club is, including the fanbase. We really need to be backing Nelson as a starter over Vestergaard yet you see how ready everyone was to write him off after one bad performance and to make it seem like Vestergaard is miles ahead of him. This is despite Vestergaard consistently putting in performances like the one Nelson had against Huddersfield.
  2. Page is on the bench. He subbed off El Khannouss at half time. Cifuentes really doesnt help himself. Too scared to give the youngsters the minutes they deserve. If any young player had the performance Ayew had today i have no doubt he would drop them from the first XI and even off the bench. Alves, Evans Page etc would be frozen out. Ayew on the other hand will still be involved next week.
  3. He's miles too good for us. Let's not kid ourselves. We're worried about Fatawu and El Khannouss making Premier league moves but Monga is better than the both of them.
  4. Please god can we stop giving Vestergaard clean sheets. Not good enough.
  5. Hopefully Monga starts from now on. How Cifuentes saw him being our best player in pre season and decided to bench him ill never understand but hopefully lesson learned.
  6. Our best player, idiot
  7. He's not helping himself. Taking off El Khannouss and keeping on Jordan Ayew or Soumare is such a terrible decision. Yet another manager who enables the crap here by playing the senior pros and not giving the more exciting young players a fair chance.
  8. Saved from conceding a second last week. He's not the problem.
  9. Cifuentes is seriously clueless. Why take El Khannouss off. You could always taken Soumare off and player Khannouss deeper.
  10. Hermansen had plenty of gaffs when we were at this level last time. Short term memories on here, watch our highlights from last season in the championship and you will see plenty of goals/chances conceded as a result of misplaced passes from Hermansen. To be clear I like Hermansen and I like Stolarczyk, mistakes happen, no need to pile on Stolarczyk who has on the whole been good enough for us.
  11. He's barely had a career, weird argument. He was our only properly good player against Huddersfield, if you couldn't see that that's your problem rather than Monga's.
  12. Monga on at half time for Ayew and Mavididi up front. Cifuentes is a coward for not starting him.
  13. Seems like you finally caught on from our debates in pre season
  14. They will get battered by stoke. We made them look a lot better than they are.
  15. I thought he was good in pre season and showed a lot of quality in the limited minutes he had.
  16. I guess the thing with Wrexham is that if they struggle they generate more drama and more views for their documentary so even if they do badly they still end up with more money. Their worst nightmare really is to do a Bristol by staying midtable for a decade with no threat of relegation or promotion and lose all momentum on their TV show.
  17. That's why I mentioned him, very much looks like the same profile of player to me.
  18. No one will buy Woyo or Kristiansen though. Justin was one of our weaker players last time we were down anyway. I have high hopes for Aluko, big fan of the way he likes to drive with the ball.
  19. He does look good tbf although I would rather we just play Page. Hopefully he is the player that Casadei should have been rather than another Casadei.
  20. Why replace him? We have far too many fullbacks as it is. At the end of the day we need a complete restructuring of our wages. Almost every senior player we have should be on half the wages they are on and they can all point to each other to justify their wages. They wouldnt get the money theyre on here anywhere else though. If we can clear the decks we can get a full reset on our wage structure where the first team on average are on £30k a week rather than £60k a week.
  21. Wrexham are the perfect club to sell to to offload our fringe players. They've just come into a lot of money and are trying to establish themselves at this level so will be willing to overpay for the bench players of the league favourites. It's a perfect opportunity for us, we won't get this kind of money for our players elsewhere. Even getting a fee at all for Coady was ridiculously good. Getting any sort of money for Choudhury with the wages he is on would also be good.
  22. Credit to everything he has done in his career so far. He went from struggling on loan in league 2 to playing a part in a championship winning side and has even scored in the Premier League. That being said for his sake and ours I think we should part ways. He needs to build his career at a midtable championship side where he is a regular starter. Currently he's not the level we need and is getting abuse here which is not what we want for either of us.
  23. Good sale for us. £5mil in the last year of his contract is good business. With Ricardo, Aluko and Coulibaly we will be alright at right back without him. Will hopefully allow Joseph to get a chance later in the season as well.
  24. Fans could see there was something wrong with Winks in the games he played before he got frozen out. He wasnt applying himself, kept pulling out of challenges, kept making stray passes to the opposition and was generally playing really badly. The last game Winks played was that 4-0 against Everton, it was clear Winks needed a push to try and get his performances to u-turn. Ruud tried to do that by telling him to stay locally, Winks didn't go along with it, Ruud froze him out. It's completely reasonable from Van Nistelrooy, he couldn't continue playing Winks in the form he was in at the time, it needed a change or for him to be dropped. I dont care if there's any nuance to the story, maybe Van Nistelrooy said some things that didn't need to be said but the point still stands that Winks desperately needed to get into gear at the time.
  25. I remember complaining about Dennis Praet as well, makes me think about how good we had it (although we had higher expectations back then that Praet was not cut out for). Praet had a similar ability to hide from the ball as Skipp but at least when he got the ball he had the technical ability to do something with it!
