Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
At least this game has confirmed that we need a midfielder in January (and hopefully anyone involved in the Skipp transfer is gone by then as well). -
I feel sorry for Hamza for playing with Skipp as well. Both are as bad as each other.
-
Cant be underwhelming when you dont expect anything in the first place. Was never going to be a PL level player for us.
-
We gave Spurs £20mil for a player who is at the same level as Hamzah Choudhury. Absolutely honking transfer.
-
Skipp and Choudhury are not PL level.
-
Probably but they seem to not be using him in youth games in case an injury comes up and he's needed in the first team.
-
He's not been playing for the U21s. He's been in limbo between our youth team and the first team and has been playing in neither games. The club clearly consider him to be too good for youth football though.

Ex Players - They used to play for us

Have we already forgotten that we got knocked out in the group stages and round of 32 when we were in the Europa League? Even with one of our best ever squads we weren't able to put together a decent run against the Europa League 'minnows'. -

He created a lot of chances for himself with his movement and dribbling with us. His finishing was just shocking but now he's clearly remembered how to put the ball in the net. -

How does Cartwright compare to Baybrooke? -

Defending isn't just the backline. Barnes barely tracked back at all that season and kept losing the ball which exposed our left back who was already struggling. Most of his goals that season were when we were already winning, often comfortably. The stats behind Barnes's 22/23 season are misleading, if you look at the player ratings and the post match discussions from that season on here there were many matches where Barnes was among our worst performers and didnt offer enough going forward or defensively. -

It's a shame that we favoured Barnes over him. If we sold Barnes that summer and bought Lookman we dont go down. -
There have been plenty of times where managers haven't fancied young players and the player has gone on to do well elsewhere. At least here he would be ahead of Golding and Cartwright as backup for Choudhury/Skipp on the weekend.
-
With all our midfielders out Baybrooke might actually have had a better chance of featuring in our next game than he does at Dundee. Awful loan for him sadly.
-
Please god no more expensive players. The reason we got relegated in the first place is because we only bought players for £15mil+ and couldnt shift them if they didnt work out. I'm not sure the £20mil market is actually better than the £10mil market either.

Bilal El Khannouss joins - Official

No one with any sense was. -
Early on in his time here he just didnt put in the effort to track runners or cover the defence. The criticism was warranted because we couldn't rely on him. Now he is getting the plaudits because he is putting the work in and fighting for the team.

Barring injury he will be one of the best midfielders of the next decade. He is that good. Now all he needs are some good wingers in front of him. -
Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I thought he did quite well at turning and driving with the ball sometimes but his defensive workrate just wasnt there. -
You know it's bad when you're in the singing section but you cant sing along because you cant hear the current song. Not a knock on the rows that are trying to lead the singing by the way, more of a knock on the rows between us.
-
I think the swathes of people leaving ironically had a positive effect because the people who were left behind realised we had to rally behind the team in spite of half our home support being fairweather.
-
I found him quite exciting on Tuesday vs West Ham.
-
Not sure about Ayew, slows the play down too much.
-
Is he actually good,
-
There's a huge gap in ability between Casemiro and Winks/Skipp/Ndidi (as of recent years), less of a gap between him and Ndidi if Ndidi rediscovers his old self. If this guy sits somewhere between Casemiro and Winks/Skipp then he's worth looking at.
