Facundo Buonanotte joins on loan - Official
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He's 19 years old playing in a car crash of a team. Hard to consistently play well given that. -
Under Maresca he would have Vardy dropping deep, Dewsbury Hall, Ricardo, Ndidi etc to pass to, now all our other players struggle to find space. It's not just him taking the easy option, the players are no longer in the right position to receive a pass.
-
Winks doesnt suit playing under Cooper. He's not a player who is comfortable out of possession and relies on having passing options which the system doesnt provide for him.
-
To be fair Kane also does have a tendency of scoring loads in one game and going missing in others.
-
To be fair to Cooper Cannon does need a season as a starter in the championship if he is going to reach the level required.

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

Is it right that he's 15? He wins that physical duel with the defender quite comfortably who i assume is 18+ years old. Having two 15 year olds already competing at u21 level is very exciting. -
Watch us sack Cooper then sign Scott Parker.
-
He might be a top 5 goalkeeper in this league playing for a team that would be the league's worst without him. We probably wont even get big money for him when we're relegated.

Development/Youth Squads 2024/2025 Thread - U18/U21

Is that something we offer? It feels like we have the best academy products we've had in years and the quality of the players that we are signing are some of the worst we have had in years. Yet the gap between our first team and our academy hasnt felt greater. -
Meanwhile we're lining up with Bobby Reid and Jordan Ayew on the wings.
-
Quite a few people have uploaded all the matches to mega. If the links here dont work there are others.
-
£20mil for a midfielder who doesnt offer much out of possession when we no longer have a possession focused manager represents good value for us surely? If that offer was on the table we would be silly to not take it and reinvest.
-
Those are the same posters that backed Rodgers to the end and wouldnt have it that he wasnt the best manager outside the top 6. Anyone with sense looked at Emery's time with Sevilla and knew he was a good manager.
-
He's an idiot for signing that contract, especially after not getting a sniff in pre season. He's the sort of player who we wont value whilst we have him but after a season or two in a lower/foreign league he would be too good to consider joining us, like Calvin Bassey or Matt O'Riley for Fulham.

Odsonne Edouard joins on loan - Official
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Does anyone remember when he was linked to us in 2020 and you had Celtic fans coming on here saying that he was better than any version of Vardy? Reality is he's nowhere near current Vardy who has one foot in the retirement home. -
Sad reality is we were a better team last season. Every single player was better under Maresca and it wasnt just because we were in the championship either. You cant convince me that we're more likely to stay up with one of Reid and Ayew on the wing in place of Mavididi or Fatawu, would rather have Akgun than the first two.

Bobby De Cordova-Reid joins permanently - Official
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
If he was a 20 year old from our academy he would hardly get on the pitch for us. It's the sad reality that a 31 year olds like Reid will get endless opportunities after bad performances whereas all it takes for a 20 year old academy player to be written off and never played again is one performance where he's not up to standard. -
I bet Ricardo's is shite like: Good servant Loyal Good character Legacy Trains well Historic Warm bum

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
honeybradger replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I wouldn't call what Ayew does experienced/savvy. He doesnt pick and choose when to fall over and draw fouls, that's his default and he never switches it up. It's fine in the final minutes when you're leading but when you're drawing/behind at home it completely stifles our momentum in possession. Man City win titles by tactical fouling the opposition, Ayew getting himself fouled when we're in possession benefits the opposition more than it does us. Ayew is like if you take the worst part of Maddison's game and remove all the quality surrounding it. -
He did so well for us in the Championship because he always had 2-3 options to pass to because of Maresca's system. Under Cooper every player is isolated and it's impacting Winks more than anyone.
-
This cant be it because Fatawu barely played today and Ayew stayed on the pitch.
-
Reminder that Cooper benched him for the first 3 matches of the season by the way. Now he's doing the same to Fatawu.
-
Was on the bench for our first three games as well.
-
He's great at winning fouls! Not like Man City are the most successful club in England by slowing down the opposition by fouling them.
