Don't you get it, if you criticise anyone to do with the club youre irrational and just piling on with the rest of the fans. The only rational, critical thinkers on this forum are those that appreciate the players who have been foundational to the worst decline in Leicester City history.

Any of the players playing yesterday being on anything more than £10k a week is still fraudulent (excluding the good ones like Alves, Braybrooke and Joseph). A 30-50% reduction is still at best £25k a week!

Interesting interview from Jake Evans. "For me it's just about proving a point. I've got a big point to prove. I can't say why, I'm just going to keep that to myself". Wonder what that might mean.

He was caught on the ball a few minutes before the goal as well. One blunder a game isnt great but multiple of them simply isn't good enough. Especially when the one for the goal was him not playing to the whistle.

Historically he does have a tendency to start seasons poorly then go on a run. That was the case at Southampton and Swansea at least.

Football is football. That team had the intensity, desire to impress and quality that was severely lacking from the team rolled out today.

Same as Cooper he was in full support of the recruitment of the club. The constant chopping and changing of players has left us with no stability. Our squad was stronger at the start of the transfer window with Carr, Evans, TWB, Page, Hutchinson, Otchere than it is now with Cullen, Chaplin, Burns, Watson, Howell, McCarthy. Not just on ability but it was far more settled and focused.

1. We don't have a young squad, the team is filled with experienced players. 2. The young players in the team (Braybrooke, Alves and Joseph) were the only good players today. 3. The players who let us down today were Souttar (27), Cullen (27), McCarthy (36), Thomas (25), Okoli (25), Skipp (25), Reid (33), Wes Burns (31). These are the players that are rightfully being criticised.

We went from Carr looking electric in pre season to having to justify Burns's poor performance by the fact he should have an assist (creating those chances should be his bread and butter). We took the positive performances of the academy players for granted and now that Cullen and Burns have replaced Page and Carr in the side we look significantly worse.

Only playing league 2 because we are a dysfunctional club. Far too good for that level and would have been good for us at league one level as well.

I though joseph was one of our better players today but Alves and Braybrooke are just a class above the rest of our team.

Despite the disappointing result and performance at least Alves and Braybrooke showed their class today.

He may be shit but at least he gives us the right blend of experience and youth.

Take me back to pre season when we had Riley Carr, Otchere and Louis Page starting for us. Every transfer window we find a way to weaken ourselves.

Wycombe fans are already talking highly about Silko Thomas and they finished 11th in league one last season. You don't need to be a world beater to be good at league one level.

Nyoni is on the verge of breaking through at Liverpool. Motsi is a similar level of talent. Can't see why he can't be playing at the top of the Premier league in 3-4 seasons.

It's a week till the season starts, Collins being without a club is very telling. He is likely asking for more wages than his ability demands. Also probably not as good as most make out on here.

100 UCL minutes is nothing. Especially when they were battered in every game he played. It's like justifying the quality of Hernandez or Musa because they played in our 5-0 loss to Porto.

There was a rumour that we were looking to sell Iheanacho to buy Édouard in 2020. We ended up keeping Iheanacho and he scored 14 PL goals and carried us to an FA cup final which we won.

Page and Braybrooke's linkup in pre season was very nice to watch. Ideally they would have been playing together this season.

Better for him to get a loan. Him not being on the bench in an early league cup round is telling. I can see the club thinking he needs a full season of u21 football though. They have always been cautious with Hutchinson's development for some reason.

Page is touch and go to get into our team because we have signed 2 players in Cullen and Chaplin ahead of him. New signings will always be prioritised over academy players. Personally I think Page should start for us ahead of Cullen and Chaplin but it is too early to tell either way. If Chaplin and Cullen are putting in the required performances only then can we talk about how Page deservedly does not get into our first team.

Wharton is a product of getting game time at a young age, he needed that trust from Blackburn to become the player that he is today. Whose to say that if Page didn't get that same trust that he wouldn't have taken the next step in his development. For context there was an England youth game I watched where Braybrooke and Wharton played midfield together. Between the two of them Braybrooke was the one controlling the game and who looked more impressive. I get Braybrooke had an ACL to deal with but these £60mil Prem midfielders arent some mythical level of talent that our players can never reach, they were just nurtured properly and avoided injury. Page, if nurtured properly, could very well end up being a PL midfielder like Wharton.

Birmingham at least had had full seasons from Jude Bellingham and Jordan James. Wharton played 3000 minutes for Blackburn before leaving. Page has played 500 minutes for us. We barely even got to see him in a Leicester shirt.
